Deacon's eyes glanced down at the hand for a moment. He knew better than to just shake another's hand without inspecting for some sort of trick. He was good at doing that after all. Not seeing anything out of the ordinary, he accepted the hand shaking it firmly. "Likewise Dale. So which part of Law Enforcement are you under?" Was he one of those Aurors in training? or a Transfer. Or something else. It helped to know what type of guy he was dealing with.

Oh yeah, and if he was the type to get into or out of trouble easily. Smirking a little at the thought. "I'm in Gobstones Administration. Making it as exciting as Quidditch." Just so he didn't think it was all fun and games.
