He would find out sooner or later anyways so this was probably better. “I actually work in the media at the Minister’s office". But anyone who knew him knew that he always FREAKED OUT during Care of Magical Creatures despite having an O on his examinations. It all had to do with his phobia which he was still working on. “I heard Kurumi worked together with you?” he said, in an attempt to change the subject because thiiis was awkward.

Not as awkward as that one guy falling down in the middle of the room though. As a former Prefect, his first instinct was to check if he was alright but it seemed that he wasn’t the only one so he continued to sit on his chair. The guy looked familiar though, really familiar. He was obviously one of the students he had spent time at school together but who?

His brow went up just a bit-- so the punching fellow worked at the Minister's office? In media relations? Oh boy snarky reporters watch out.

An oversimplification perhaps, but he wasnt really in the mood to wax poetic about office politics of the higher levels. Besides, given that it was the US equivalent of the Department of Mysteries he shouldnt chat too much about it yes?

He could tell from his accent that he wasnt a native of the British Isles, much like himself "Where in the US are you from?"

Okay... so the guy was coming to. Good. He was getting a little anxious that that year hasnt even started and already they were already needing to call a Healer.

But as the other guy looked up Vickers instantly recognized-- "Oakey!" he clasped his friend by the arm and helped him up. He chuckled softly, nothing the Hufflebud wasnt used to indeed. "Are you also working for the Ministry now?" Really this place was starting to feel like Hogwarts again.
