For the next set of instructions, the Prefect waited three minutes. She noticed the steam and had a mini freak out moment. Multi-colored gaze shot directly over at professor Culloden. He didn't call her out or anything so...it was all okay? Yes? Well, it didn't explode.
Focusing on the peppermint, she chopped it up. She didn't have much time do it, but she efficiently got the job done and added the now chopped peppermint to the mixture. It wasn't instant, but slowly the color of her potion began to gradient from black to grey.
No BOOM. It was okay.
Tearing her gaze from her cauldron, she nodded at Finn. "Sure." He seemed better now, as well as his potion. She still made sure to be on the alert in case he, or any of the Snakes, needed help.
And since they were close to finishing this up, Beverly cast
Scourgify on her utensils while listening. She was good at multi tasking so everything Culloden said stuck to her head.
What a cunning little potion this was, wasn't it?
Her lip twitched. Of course it was. Sounded like something a Slytherin would love or at least be intersted in. She wondered...and wondered...and wondered. She might end up getting a dragon by the end of this year. Heh.
As promised, her solution went from grey to white. Beverly sighed with relief and wiped her brow with the back of her arm. It was done. And before she scooped up some of it for Professor Culloden she jotted a few notes down.
"Thanks, Professor Culloden," she chirped after cleaning her area and gathering her belongings. His lessons were her favorite, did he know that?
