Thinking about Caden, Cameron, and Kieran all as teenagers had definitely not been something that he was about to think about anytime soon because it was really just a ridiculous notion, they were all still little and at least had pretty interesting things to say for little kids.

His attention at the moment was currently on the dancing which just felt so natural between them seeing as it was just like poetry but without any words, a beautiful act dancing was but yet simple too. The music itself was definitely something along the lines what he had been attempting to teach his wife on the piano when they were at Hogwarts, which definitely had been a memory that he never wanted to forget. “Almost. A home that we never really left.” he said. Just because they physically were no longer at the school, did not mean that they hadn’t emotionally left, it was always going to be a part of them forever.
There was an odd sort of feeling of being torn in half being here. Stella was entirely grateful for the time with Matt, when they didn’t have to deal with everyday things like what to have for dinner, when he’d be home, etc. Yet she also was finding that she missed the kids, and her mind kept going to thoughts of how they were doing with Risa. Probably more accurately Joshua, if he was home, and Autumn of course, but it was still technically her best friend’s job to watch them. For possibly longer than just a few hours, and it was making her worry. The even stranger part was that she was sensing worry from Matt, too, yet she couldn’t tell the reason. She wasn’t planning on breaking the lovely moment just to ask, though. She knew he’d tell her if it was important. They always did. Honesty was important, even from their children.

She was content, anyway, in his arms as they continued dancing. It almost reminded her of their wedding, aside from the difference in music. The music actually reminded her of other moments in their past, and even just her own. The songs she remembered her mother singing when she was younger, the songs Matt had tried to teach her various times when they’d stolen away to the Room of Requirement while they’d both been students… All happy memories, and she hadn’t wanted to mar that by worrying. “Exactly,” she murmured, leaning her head against his chest. “And our children will get to know that feeling too.” Eventually. Not any time soon. Caden was only almost four after all, and the twins two. She wanted them to be able to come here to Hogwarts, however. To have what she’d only gotten a taste of.
