Having three young children did that, not to mention Matt’s studies and now his teaching. Alone time was hard to come by, so this was that much better for it. Not to mention they got to be back at Hogwarts, where it basically all began, and there was the possibility of seeing people they hadn’t seen in what seems like forever. She honestly couldn’t remember the last time she’d seen any of her classmates, and she was certain if she felt that way, Matt likely felt it even more. It was weird to think she saw her best friend from Beauxbatons more than any of the friends she’d actually made here in England, but then the fact Risa lived down the street from them now was weird enough. She knew everyone had scattered after graduation, after all, so all that was left was maybe seeing them here tonight.

Except she didn’t feel like looking right now, as he’d taken her cue and they’d started dancing. She liked this, sort of like they were in their own little place, enjoying the music. It brought back memories, if not necessarily of dancing with him. There were plenty of memories that were connected to music in general, most of which involved either him playing for her or singing. This was just as nice, and seeing him smile was better. “Exactly. It’s almost like coming back home,” she said. Even though neither of them had gone through all seven terms at Hogwarts, she still felt a connection to the castle. Oddly more of a connection than she did to Beauxbatons, but there were more bad memories there than she’d ever had here and it was all because of him. Matt had made Hogwarts that much more like home for her.

Right now honestly had probably been their first time alone together in ages but life did take control which wasn’t entirely a bad thing considering there were a ton of positives that went on that basically hadn’t made that all too much of an issue, Matt wouldn’t have minded getting more opportunities for time away with Stella but family time was nice too since he was more than happy to have three beautiful kids who without question would all go on to do something big with their lives once they grew up but he wasn’t in a hurry for that either. Thinking about Caden, Cameron, and Kieran all as teenagers had definitely not been something that he was about to think about anytime soon because it was really just a ridiculous notion, they were all still little and at least had pretty interesting things to say for little kids.

His attention at the moment was currently on the dancing which just felt so natural between them seeing as it was just like poetry but without any words, a beautiful act dancing was but yet simple too. The music itself was definitely something along the lines what he had been attempting to teach his wife on the piano when they were at Hogwarts, which definitely had been a memory that he never wanted to forget. “Almost. A home that we never really left.” he said. Just because they physically were no longer at the school, did not mean that they hadn’t emotionally left, it was always going to be a part of them forever.
