Dylan gripped the handle of his trolley tightly as he pushed it towards the platform. He came to a stop before it and glanced behind him at his parents, giving them a half smile. He then looked down at his younger siblings, Lydia and Blake and bent down to give each a tight hug. He patted Lydia's head and ruffled Blake's hair.
"You two stay out of trouble for mum and dad, alright?" he said with a chuckle as he stood to say goodbye to his parents.
"See ya-" he began to say when his mother wrapped him in a tight hug.
"Oof!" he grunted at her tight embrace and laughed, hugging her back and then hugging his dad.
"Owl us as soon as you get there, alright sweetheart?" Cynthia said before kissing his forehead.
"Mum, not...not here..." Dylan mumbled, glancing around nervously in case anyone he knew was nearby. Phew! Coast looked clear. He chuckled and turned and gripped his trolley once more, glancing at the cat carrier in which Ginger sat, looking at him through the bars.
"Ready Ginger?" he asked. She meowed loudly and he smiled, running towards the wall, his long strawberry blonde hair flying behind him.
