He apparently had to dress up for this shindig, so he had worn a nice shirt and black bow tie...along with his leather jacket and nicer pair of pants. At least no one could say that he didn't have a sense of humor?
He wasn't too keen on just jumping right in to the whole socializing scene just yet and would save the rubbing elbows with candidates for after he had had something to eat. Besides needing to be at a Ministry function because he was a department head, he was mostly here to support Sherman. It was nice to have someone from within his own department running - even if it was also a little odd to think about. Grabbing one of the fondue sticks, Aron was about to make himself a few chocolate-y fruit delights when he spotted the very old man he had just been thinking about...surrounded by a bunch of people.
See? The grandfather you always wanted vibe was doing the man well. Just not...that wardrobe. Merlin.
Stabbing a few bananas, Aron stuck it under the chocolate to give it a nice even coat.
