What was he doing? Esme watched the Ballycastle mascot a moment as he carried on through the tent. Sure, he was fun for the fans, but it was a little too crowded in here for his antics. Still, she stuck out her hand when he passed it by to give him a high five as he ran down the tables, but she was not doing it again as he made the turn to come back down again. She was thankful their own team mascot was slightly more subdued, not that he was here today anyway.

Trying to ignore the bat as he really wasn't helping her nerves, grey eyes flickered around the tent, watching more people come in. No one seemed to want any of the Catapults autographs yet, or more specifically hers as she was the only one there so far, which was fine. Maybe even expected really as she was new in a way. She did catch notice of a recognizable woman as she walked in and said hello. "Hello," Esme said, with a small smile, to return the greeting. Harpies Chaser, she was sure.. VonHue, right? Yeah, it wasn't long ago that they had a match with them and that girl was a fierce one for sure.

She was soon snapped out of her reverie as she heard her name. Oh.. a fan? "Hi.." she smiled at the man as he opened up his autograph book. "Oh, you can call me Esme.." Really, she was just a person too, no need to be so formal.. this thing was to connect with fans on a personal level anyway, right? And then the 24 year old soon felt that familiar warmth over her cheeks, knowing that they were certainly flushed red as he laid compliments on her. "Well, thank you," she said, tucking a short lock of hair behind her ear. "That's very kind of you to say.." And he knew her from the reserves? He must really be a fan.. but not one of the stalkerish types, right? She eyed him a minute though she she tried to relax into a gracious smile. "You've been a Catapults fan for some time, then? They must be your favorite.." Or she could assume, even if he'd lie to her to flatter her.

She just reached out her hand to offer to sign the man's book when she heard a very cheerful, very familiar voice at her side. Oh thank Merlin! Having her friend and teammate with her made her feel slightly less nervous about this whole thing, though she knew the Beater was slated to play some game with the fans at some point as well. "Muirgen.. hi!" Esme returned the other woman's grin as she took her place in the seat next to her. "We've got ourselves a Catapults fan here.." She smiled a bit at the man, whose name she'd find out in a minute so she could sign his book. Certainly he'd want Muirgen's autograph too? Or she might rethink that whole stalker thing..

Seee this one new what was up with the bat! Giving him a high five ws only an invitation to Barny. On his way back past he noticed she did not give him another high five, so at that point he moved to the other side of the table and dances around her. She enjoyed his batty moves didn't she? Oh and look there was a fan too. He waved at the fan and made a heart with his batty hands then pointed to Esme. He loved her didn't he. All star struck. Well the bat went and hugged Esme waving to the fan. All in good fun don't worry.

But the black and red was where she was at now, having finally switched sides and made her father, the famous former Bats' Keeper and ex-Head of the Department of Magical Games and Sports, Theodore Newtington, very happy. "Go Barny!" she cheered on her mascot (totally the best one in the league, by the way), before slipping in to her chair next to Jack. "How's it going?" she asked the Seeker. "Quill and smile at the ready?"

She was too young, but the look was unmistakable.

He walked over to the Bats' table to talk to the young lady sitting there. He waited his turn and stood in front of her and just sort of stared, his mouth partially opened.

"Hello! I'm sorry, what's your name again? I remember your face but...when one is chasing the snitch, names and faces kind of get blurred when you're searching out the little bugger," he explained with a friendly grin.

So yeah, nothing personal!

OH HEY it was Barny! Haha. Whoever they'd gotten to play him today - Jack never got to see their actual faces - was totally in character and ready to greet the kids (and adults, he was sure). He grinned and high fived the bat back. Georgie would LOVE this - he wondered if Reese would swing by?

OH GOOD! Another fellow Bat! Finally Jack could relax a bit, knowing he wasn't the only one here. "Hi Nia! Yup, all set and ready to go - and it looks like you have a fan," he added with a sly grin as the young boy came up to the tent, clearly awestruck with the presence of her. Hehe. Awwww, he was cute.

Oh my. He really had a bad case of starstruck induced mutism didn't he? Trying to help the poor lad, Jack leaned over. "Is there anyone else you'd like her to sign an autograph for?" he asked. A friend perhaps? A sibling? Anything to evoke a little bit of nerve moment in the boy's brain.

Oh yeah the Batty love was going around! He could feel it and Barny jumped up and down wiggling his bum as Jack high fived him! Oh yeah it was time to dance and entertain the fans. That's what he was here for and finding a fan being super shy was where his focus headed. Moving to the quiet fan (Edward) he wiggled his bum bumping the man gently with his big batty bum.

Oh yeah.. oh yeah it's Batty's Birthday, not really, but he could do the dance moves like it was. Come on stranger fan you know you want to dance with him! Oh and look the beautiful Nia was cheering him on. Giving her a few batty fist pumps in the air he strutted to the back of the table again and gave her a huge Barny hug.
