He winced at her words. He didn't mean for it to ever be like that. He'd never meant for her to be the only one home all the time now. And it hurt knowing she thought that and felt that way. He missed a lot of Emma's life in the short one she'd had so far. Norah being at the academy even now. It was hard seeing them grow up and him not being there as much. He hated hearing about it from Becca and not seeing it himself. "I will." he said quietly, with the promise in his tone. God he'd do everything he could to be there more. Sighing softly he shook his head at her saying she was sorry. He wasn't going to do that again he knew that. Not if it meant this!
