SnitchSeeker can now reveal that Lumos stated as early as last November that J.K. Rowling would attend the
grand opening of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios Japan, set to open July 15, 2014.
Lumos with Rowling held a
fundraiser at Warner Bros. Studio Tour London - The Making of Harry Potter in November, which was also attended by Emma Watson, Evanna Lynch, Warwick Davis and Alan Rickman, among others. Lumos set off a great deal of items up for auction, including this, as told to SnitchSeeker by their reps:

This auction item related to x4 guests to fly to Japan in July 2014 to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studio Japan. It will coincide with J.K. Rowling’s first visit to the theme park where they will experience a private tour and VIP access to the attractions and shows.
At the time no announcement was made for when the Wizarding World attraction would open in the city of Osaka, but between the news this week of its grand opening, and the auction item, it is safe to say that Rowling will once again visit the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, as she did nearly four years ago in Orlando.
