Maybe she was here to support her? Or probably for the food. Nobody could say no to the food, especially when it's a Ministry event.

"Hello Mariel," Lourdes smiled back at the brunette and gave her a nod. And she liked her outfit. "Oh, thank you." Lourdes did quite like it herself, too. The woman did like to stay for a while and chat with the others but she, and her fellow candidates, were being called on stage already. Now what was Ian Amoros doing up there. From here, Lourdes could see Cassandra Rae-Branxton scowling at the Senior Undersecretary. Oh well... "Thank you, Mariel," she said. She had to leave now. "If you'll excuse me..." Lourdes gave her employee one last nod and smile before going to the stage. Debate time!
