That didn't sound like a very lucky start of the term. Though technically it wasn't yet, without the Start of Term Feast. That thought only led Ari to feel hungry imagining all that food that would be waiting for them in the Great Hall. What was the boy saying? Oh, yeah. First years. They agreed to everything. She could bet galleons that the boy would end up in Gryffindor. They were the ones who got in trouble from day one. Slytherins are mischevious too, but tend to have more common sense. Ravenclaws are cautious enough not to be caught and Hufflepuffs...well, he just didn't look like a Huffie. 'Lovely to meet you, DJ. The first firstie I've met this year.' the girl smiled. 'I'm Ariadne Marchbanks. Or Ari if you prefer.' She had been saying that quite a lot over the last few hours, so it started to sound like a poem.
Good guess. How'd he figure that out? Ari thought sarcastically, but decided to cut him some slack. He was a firstie after all, and a fine one at that.'Fifth year Gryffindor, that's me.' she replied with a hint of pride in her voice. 'You do know about the Hogwarts Houses, don't you?' Most firsties did, except maybe the Muggleborn ones. Still, it was worth checking.

Well if your cat climbed the Hogwarts Express and you climbed the Express to get your cat back.. then you can expect to be punished for that.. trust me!" he was not expecting it thinking he and the girls were being heroes in rescuing their pets off the train.. but nope! they got punished for being heroes. By whom? he had no idea! "
I dont know who she was.. just that she was older than me.. much older" yeah thats all he knew of that girl. He nodded as she asked about the flyers "
Yeah! those flyers! Yeah the.. bat thing! she lost it and what-not!" AND that other girl was with this Selina girl too! "
You saw those flyers? Oh!! that punishment girl was talking to this Selina girl.. the one with the missing beater's bat. She said that we had to help Selina with the flyers" and that too as a punishment! What a punishment it was!
He smiled as she said it was lovely to meet him AND she called him DJ! Awesome! "
Yeah same here!" he looked a little surprised that he was her first firstie that she had met "
Well I am sure you will meet alot more!" he nodded as she introduced herself. "
Thats cool! we both have short versions of our names!" he chuckled a little. As he realised that even Ariella was called Ari by Alexa so he could possibly end up getting confused.. but he would get to that when it came

Yeah I do know about the houses.. my dad told me about them." since his mom knew nothing about the houses being a muggle and stuff "
Wow! whats it like being in Gryffindor?" he wanted to be a part of either Gryffindor or Ravenclaw so he hoped that he would get into one of those.. and since Ariadne was a gryffindor might as well get some feedback on the gryffindor side of things and she was a fifth year so she probably knew quite a bit
