Now she didn't want to see the bird as much anymore; especially if it meant that her new friend would walk out being really upset and what's worse she had tried making a nest in her hair...
That didn't sound very good at all. Her hand subconsciously moved to her hair as she listened to the girl speak of the obviously insane bird. If it had tried that with her she would have beat it to a twitching pulp of bird and feather. Patience and self-control were things she lacked, especially when it came to annoying things that got in your hair and made it worse than you had managed to make it yourself.
She found herself smiling when it looked like the older girls were sort of making friends. That was pretty good, though if you asked her grouchy girl was always friendly when it suited her. Just look how nice she had gotten when Vickers came in!! Older kids were just weird weren't they? What made her find the girl even more strange was her offering to help her up. She figured she would have been the last person to offer her any help...especially since if she was being honest she was being a bit annoying...
She made a face at the boy when he said the bird shouldn't have been allowed near her hair because she would mess it up but before she could say anything Genevieve accuse him of lying. She listened as she spoke of how the bird actually tried yanking her scalp off as well. "You're kidding! Why didn't you grab it by the neck and give it a good squeeze?" She realized that Vickers might not have liked that idea but that was exactly what she would have done. The bird would be in the ground instead of a cage when she would have gotten through with it!
Wait whaaaaat? Did this innocent little Miss actually threatened bodily harm on his extremely-difficult-but-beloved pet? He raises a finger and starts wagging it at her general direction
"Don't try it...." yeah he's saying it just in case she would, Merlin help him if this one gets sorted into Gryffindor
"....if you value all ten of your fingers, your nose and your ears." SPOILER!!: Abby

And, she was going to call him that whether he liked it or not. Rightt. Abby raised an eyebrow when she noticed him staring at Genie.. a crush? Maybe.
Not dangerous? "Yeah.. that's not what Genie here just said." She called it a demon bird. Anyway. It didn't really matter, especially now that he was slowly backing out towards the door. "See ya around, Vicky."
And JUST when he thought he can smile easily with this one, she came up with THAT. That which Dylan, Paulie and goodness knows how many others have resorted to instead
"I... uhm... wouldpreferifyoucallmeVickers" he mumbled as he tried not to cringe. It was a two syllable word... how much more difficult is it for them to go with the
-ers instead of the
-y
Pssshh yeah he had a lot of luck getting people to switch over.
But yeah backin' out now...

"It's a mad thing. Tried to make a nest out of my hair. Thinks she's a Muggle country singer TOO." All true things. Genevieve nodded emphatically and curled up in the corner by the window, across from where Hasty had been seated.
"I never give up," Genevieve said lightly, and she smiled crookedly now that she and Hasty seemed to be on good terms. Almost friends, hmm? She watched Hasty measure Vickers up and down, something that should be amusing considering the liplock from the platform. Maybe she was just one of those girls who admired boys as works of art... nice to look at, unnecessary to own.
Genevieve squinted at Vickers, trying to picture him in a frame and hung up on a wall. It made her grin a bit. He'd need a hat. Good pictures always had hats.
"That was nice of you, but we're not hurt." She tucked her legs under her and tried to school her features. It was impossible to explain what it was that she found so AMUSING, and so... best not look amused.
"But you're a liar. You can't stay here if you're going to lie to my new friends. Dolly is a demon bird who nested in my hair, dug her talons into my scalp, and then got offended and took some of me with her when Vick finally removed her from my head." DEEEEEEEMOOOOOON BIRD.
... specially Vivi threatened to leave.
"No I'm going..." he blurted as he moved further towards the door. But he did catch her squinting at him, and for some bizarre reason, decided on a squint!stare-fest. Which bright blue eyes would blink first yeah?

"You havent said why you're here." he blurted out suddenly. Yeah he knew he was going to lose, so you know distraction tactic
"Last I checked the Hogwarts Express doesnt make any stops to Beauxbaton. In fact its traveling the opposite direction." smug smug smug.
"Should I let the train operator know we have a stowaway on-board hmm?" Hah! If he was a liar then she was a cheat.
