Ari bent over and grabbed Archer's cage that sat at her feet and set him on her lap. The tawny owl screached loudly and shuffled in his cage. He still seemed a bit shaken up from the events that had happened earlier...
Ari looked out into the corridor and noticed a girl looking around, a bit paniced
"Oi! You want to join us!"

"Hello Archer," Silvia said when Ari pulled out her owl.
"I'm excited for the new year too. Although, I'm really curious to find out what the new professors are like. We lost some really good ones at the end of last term." And she would definitely miss them, though she might not fully admit it.
"So, do you know what house you want to be in?"
Silvia turned to look at the new arrival, another young student, and smiled as she reached out to shake her hand.
"Hi, I'm Silvia It's nice to meet you." Although Silvia wasn't usually the most outgoing type, it was always good to start off a new term by meeting a few new people. So she had promised herself to be more open and gladly welcomed the new arrival.
