He held his hand out to shake - just because it was lunch time didn't mean he was taking a break from manners. Hehe.

He took a drink of pumpkin juice and glanced quickly around the room. "Have ye eaten in here before? It's kinda brilliant isn't it?" he asked with a grin as he put his cup back down. He had been rather surprised at its appearance actually - there were plenty of other places to eat. But this was terribly convenient... and the food was divine. Nom.
