81. Depression

Carter found himself by the lake skipping rocks. Skipping rocks was oddly relaxing and Carter desperately needed to calm down. You see, he'd just found out that Marie was engaged and Caroline was dating a Hufflepuff. He knew he should be happy for them... but he just... wasn't. All he felt was a taunting in his head of how it wasn't him... how he wasn't good enough to make either of them happy.

He threw another rock... which instantly plummeted to the bottom of the lake. He threw another with all his might.

It didn't help. He was still depressed.
