It's not always easy to pretend. "So you're… looking better than last year," Louisa comments, determined to be friendly to the couple.

Ellie blinks, glances sideways at Dallin and replies, "Was I ugly last year?"

Louisa wants to nod vigorously. "No, that's not what I meant. It's just you're less pale and more lively."

Dallin gives his girlfriend a swoony look making Louisa shuffle with her feet. Ellie blushes, "Err..thanks. You want to hang out with us for a while?"

Pffft, yeah right when the sky's not blue. "No, thanks." Snatching her books from them and heading for the counter.
