"I guess you want to have a go?" Brad asked moving to stand next to her. It had been a long time since he had seen Emily after their not so great ending to their last drink together and he felt terrible about it. Striding over he had pushed and shoved through the busy crowd hoping to get to her fast before she moved away, before someone else started talking to her. He couldn't say sorry if she was busy, he needed her full attention, so was glad when he finally made it and she was still alone. But still he didn't say sorry.
Emily didn't have to turn to know who was speaking to her... she recognised his voice. Despite the fact that its been a while since they've spoken. Ever since...
Sigh.
She shrugged,
"I was considering it," she answered, still not looking at him. It felt slightly awkward. There so much she wanted to say to him, but at the same time there was so much she just didn't want to say to him. After a brief moment, Emily gathered her thoughts, swallowed her pride and turned to face Bradley.
"It's been a while," she said simply, trying to smile and failing.
