Post Video: First look at Deathly Hallows' Godric's Hollow in LEGO Harry Potter Y5-7 game

The first look at the upcoming LEGO Harry Potter Years 5-7 video game, out fall 2011, was shown at the E3 gaming expo earlier this month. Narrated by producer Arthur Parsons, the clip shows Harry and Hermione venturing through Godric's Hollow from the first half of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

New features in the second installment of the LEGO series include:
• Hermione's beaded bag in Deathly Hallows, from which she can extract countless useful items, ranging from a hair dryer to melt snow to a gramophone to make ghosts dance.
• New characters, including Bellatrix Lestrange, a variety of Death Eaters, and Fenrir Greyback, as well as upgrades to older characters such as Ron (with a new haircut and Pidwedgeon), and Remus Lupin who can turn into a werewolf. Of course many others will be featured in the full game, both those were shown in the clip above.
• Trinkets from Weasley Wizard Wheezes, which works best for a Weasley character (like Ron, as shown above), but will trick anyone who is not a Weasley.
• Many new spells, including Aguamenti and Diffindo, which, as shown, is used to break walls to find hidden supplies.
• New locations to wander through, including Godric's Hollow with the Potters' monument, London and the exteriors of Hogwarts castle.
• Hidden blocks that can only be visible by wearing Luna's Spectraspecs; Ron using his deluminator to light up dark areas.
LEGO Harry Potter Years 5-7 video game will be released this holiday season. The full press release issued with the announcement of the game, which included numerous facts about the installment, can be read here.
