Charms was possibly one of her favorite subjects, aside from the typical answer: Defense Against the Dark Arts. Although, Lulu Patterson was still quite fascinated by Potions. That was just a magic all on its own but she digresses. Charms was one of the subjects she got excited over, this lesson in particular shook every fiber of her 12 year old self. It was a night class; a night class outside; by the Forbidden Forest.

That pretty much was the epitome of exciting.

Lulu bundled up a little more than she would for classes. After all, it got cold outside when the sun would set. She also brought along her pet ferret, Sir Robin, as a precautionary method. He was good at sensing danger and she was good at NOT WANTING TO DIE. It was a beneficial relationship for both of them. Patterson was vaguely aware that one wasn't supposed to bring pets along for classes but since this wasn't a classroom she figured the hygienic problem was discarded.

And even if pets WEREN'T allowed--well, the Professor should have stated that. Explicitly. Except he didn't. So he wasn't explicit. So Lulu Patterson was going to bring Sir Robin, her possibly kleptomaniac ferret with an innate ability to sense danger and possibly Dark magic with her.

Because, as previously stated, she was really really good at NOT WANTING TO DIE.

She sprinted the last five feet towards the Forbidden Forrest and arrived breathless and red-faced. There were some girls there already and speaking to the Professor. There was a kitten laying down next to him, upside down and looking possibly dead. It started her for a moment until she saw the kitten's belly rising and falling by the light of the flames of the bonfire nearby.

You're holding a kitten, had said a girl. Lulu side-eyed her from where she stood, stuffing Sir Robin's head back into the inside pocket of her robes. Holding him? "He's not holding it," mumbled Lulu as a correction. She wasn't sure if the girl heard or not but really, was the girl confused? It was dark outside. It was also always possible she suffered from night blindness; what an unfortunate soul.

It wasn't probably near as unfortunate as Greer McKensie, screeching in her vicinity. Lulu wrinkled her nose and covered Sir Robin's ears now that he had peaked his head out again. More girls showed up and giggled and cooed and generally barfed and farted invisible hearts made of pheromones and icky hormones.

Lulu made a pushing gesture in front of herself as if to ward off any of the bubble slash heart farts from exploding on her. Sir Robin wound himself around her neck, blinking its beady eyes at the loud femmes.

"Disgusting," said Lulu definitively and walked away to sit by the fire because it was better to be near the light and the lesser of two evils since it wasn't exactly safe.

One could always catch fire. How troublesome would that be?
