Lily looked up to James - her eyes wide with shock.
"Hey James-" it took her a minute to realize he didn't call her Evans. "You called me Lily I think that's the fourth time you've said my name." She joked trying to make light of the situation since it wasn't a big deal but it was big when it came to her changing her mind. All of a sudden.
"Yeah I'd say its odd, just needed fresh air - and didn't feel like getting splashed by a giant squid." She lied, but hoped he wouldn't notice. The squid only splashed people it didn't like. Like the entire slew of first year Slytherins.
"Its just different," she shrugged "You know both with being head girl at a school like this, and well my parents" her words trailed off her chin trembled slightly as she said the last part. She had after all stayed over summer at the Potter's because of a death in the family.
