Well then,since this is my little poetry thread,I think I shall start off with one that I have wrote today,it's kinda short,I think I might ad on to it,oh well it's one of my faves,enjoy the poem:
Safe inside

Safe Inside

Minding my own bissiness
Since that is what I do best
Staying cooped up in myself
Cuz that’s the safest place for me to hide

I don’t want to be left
Broken into many shards of nothing
With someone there to sweep me up into a pan
And throw me into a void of deep hurt

As I sat there someone appeared next to me
Someone new that I didn’t recognize
He asked for my name
And I replied proudly
That my name was Fate


Because of my name and how I think
I am often left out, since I’m different
The new student said his name
I nodded and dug my head back into my book


He didn’t seem to think highly of me
I respect him of that, since everyone else did
All because I’m smart and self preserved
But I never told him, fretting of what he would think


I never showed him the falter that was always in my eyes
When I would meet his gaze, I would turn away
Thinking of what the real me would do, the one inside
So I didn’t smile to him, when he did to me


I guess everyone else got the message that he liked me
But they never told me, but wanted me to see it for myself
But I can’t see anything but what is inside




Hope you people like,nothing that is too odd,this poem was what has happened to me recently,and what else would I do but turn what happens in my life into a poem.

Well my novel that I'm writing right now is a dark fantasy.About a girl and her friends,and some people who come and just crash everything for them,but they are not normal teens,they are special people.

Ok well I am going to put a few sample verses from my poem that is three pages long and wount fit on here.So here are a few.

Burning

We talk briefly and have the same interests
It’s stupid how you hate how I am

I asked if you could buy me a white lily
To show you my death was near
And to have you give it to me
Would test your thoughts of how you felt
You didn’t bring it
And I was glad, that you didn’t
But I don’t trust you
When in reality, trust is what everyone wants

Hatred runs through my blood
Knowing that you seem to forget
That a good friend you once had
Is cringing at the thought of you
If that person died,
Sooner than they were supposed to leave
Would you go to their funeral?
Weep for that dead lost soul?

Death lingers in my thoughts
You are farther than you once were
I replaced you with death
How do you feel now?

Every time I want to see you
Your always occupied with your friends
And it seems I’m not good enough
And to feel that pain

It hurts
More than when the blood spills from my veins
And when I prick my skin and see the bumps of redness

well that sux. im not good at writing at all. howd you come up with a three page poem?? and can barely get any lines written thats why I draw yay

my three page poem i wrote when i was on the phone with a distant friend and he really rattled my bones and well...let me say got me really frustrated.So I desided to write a poem/short story about how i see us,distant friends when 2 years before we were always getting in trouble in class because we would throw things at people.

He hasn't really gone into maturity as I have and well he is more of a free spirit.Raised as a child all his life and me being raised as an adult for many years,thanks to my parents.

I love to draw to,anime mostly since I can't draw anything else,unless little line designs....yeah.I wrote a small medieval time song after reading a really good book, The ministers Daughter, I highly reccomend it.

I will post it next post....and me da found all of my documents in his folder too,so they arent deleted but it was strange they wound up in his....

Ok I have my trusty poetry notebook here and I am ready to type this poem and hope you like:
Shattered Mirrors

Shattered Mirrors

A mirror,
which is just a piece of glisening glass
a face gazing back,waiting to be looked upon

But,
the souls on the other side
the darkness is trapped,waiting to be awakened

It glisens in the moonlight,venturing to be known
it slips from the grasp and shatters
pieces to big to cut,but to scar and bleed
the time lingers on

Blood,on the tips of the fragments,traping them inside
bound to stay forever,never leaving it's clear walls
looking only at themselves,just like they did before

The light on the other side,is so blinding to see
to shield the eyes,to never be seen
the darkness tries to overcome,it's powerful power
it fights to become better than one,a better dark
to control light,and change it to the other

The soul's face,reflects to the cold pale sun above
hoping to be released out,noone pays attention
forever forgetting what it's meant

The hatred that flows through my vains
Is making me see all this and the worst part is
It's true

I'm different,crazy and all you do about it is laugh and
Agree
you don't notice the art I carve on my arms
even in the pale sunlight
and to think you are friends and even family...
It's sadening

the thought of crushing my soul must be joyful to you
seeing as you have done it alot
i dont know how i have been able to uphold myself in life
it's a mystery that i will never solve

for I am now gone.

Forest of Lurking

A calm wave a gentleness swept over me
as I walked down the path towards the woods
feeling my insides churn and flip flop like mixing butter
and I think of what people are saying back home


"Our baby is missing" and "We need to find her,where did she go!"
the cries of longing are finally called out for the first time
and I laugh as I walk further into the woods of dark and mystery
to think even more,to get so lost in my thoughts


I see a shadow in the moonlight in the crossing im sitting in
the rustle of leaves behind me are frightening me
the shadow gets closer and I can hear their heavy breathing
ringing in the stillness of the night and in my ears


The figure wrapped a clothe around my eyes
making me see only white fabric and a dark thing in front of me


well that is just part of a poem that I just made up,going to add more when I think of something....

These are so descriptive! Lol, and i like how you usually come back to the same thing in almost every poem aka being shut out....
Keep writing...people will grasp to your talent....
