Default Werewolf's Moon - Poetry Sa9+

This first poem is to go with my name: Werewolf's Moon.

I stare up at the sky
Waiting,
Anticipating
Night to fall.
Watching the clock
As the minutes slowly
Tick away.

My palms sweat,
My heart pounds,
As the sun sinks
Below the horizon.
I watch the moon rise,
As if taunting me,
knowing that I'm
To transform.

I look up,
My breath gets short.
I let out a loud howl,
I no longer have control of myself.

Hunchback,
Fur,
Sharpened teeth.
I am now
Wild!
Free!
I can do as I please!

Willingness
To take the blood of another.
To make them suffer
The same
Horrible fate as I do
On the Werewolf's Moon.

I know, I stink at rhyming! That's why I didn't try! This was Remus' first full moon after being bitten. Please, tell me what you think! I came up with this off the top of my head so, I really don't mind if you say it's horrible... it probably is!

I liked it and just because it doesn't ryme it doesn't mean it's bad poetry.

I like and write poems that rhyme and those that don't, and this one's great! I love the idea and the way that it is written. Beautiful.

Poems are unique... they're for expressing feelings and doesn't need to rhyme...

I loved it! and i agree with many of the people here - I write poetry as a hobby and alot of it doesn't rhyme. I loved the point of view, it was original and not many others would think of it! I think it was wonderful!

And I have my own poem thread also, and I was wondering if you wanted to come see - it's in the second page, Tales of Hogwarts Hearts. I would like to know what you think of my writings.

Happy writing! ::waves::
