This poem was written for someone who was/is very dear to my heart. Recently, I lost this person, and I needed a way to express my pain. This...would be it.



Memories Never Die



He won’t be forgotten.

Loved by many,

Especially me.

My daddy,

Who loved me with everything he had.

I will remember him...

Not for any of the toys or gifts.

He was proud of me,

No matter what.

I also remember what he used to say:

“Any guy you bring home...I’ll sit there with a gun on my lap...but if he likes the Raiders, he’s ok.”

Or

“If any guy doesn’t open the door or pull out your chair, he isn’t worth it.”

I’ll miss him.

I think I will more than anyone...

Simply because I was his little girl.

Hello, My name is Trinity. I wrote this poem for my father who on July 17th, 2005, passed away. He was very dear to my heart. Poetry is the only way besides crying that I know how to express my feelings. My mother asked me to write this for our local newspaper when we put the obituary in it. I felt as if I was contributing a bit to my daddy...who I loved unconditionally.

Some time ago it all began

You shine like sparkles

In the winter sand.

I got this inspiration from one of my loves, he's away in Iraq right now. I can't even begin to describe how much I miss him right now. This might be some insight into those feelings.

Theres something in my head,

thats always knocking, always picking.

Even when I go to bed

My toes are tapping, legs are kicking.

The Rhythm makes me dance

it puts me in a trance.

Without it I am dead,

cuz my heart stops a ticking.
