Why do I increase my size
Eating those chips and cookies that widen my thigs
Stuffing my mouth with candy and cake
Going back for more with my upsized plate

Trying to squeezing into jeans that fit me last year
Its ok I say, its just baby fat dear
Well I could wear a extra large yesterday
But now my tail needs to be in a extra extra large today

Plus size is my size so when will you realize that I am big and here to stay, so move aside while I get down my own way

No running or walking or swimming for me
God made me this way to let me be

I remember when being black was not that cool
When we were avoided and not allowed to go to school
Couldnt even swim or eat at the public pools
But now everyone wants to be black cause its cool

The hip hoping and the beep bopping of the city streets
No one remembers when black people got beat
Tupac said I wanna be a N-I-G-G-A
Everyong joined in throwing their gang signs up

You wear the clothes and speak the slang
But did you cry when black people got hanged?
Getting the braides and the twists in your hair
Then looking down on a ghetto black child with your nose in the air.

If you want to be black walk a mile in my shoes
I gurantee you won't be rolling on some 22's
I am a ghetto black queen
God I wish I didn't have to live on my knees


I wear my Rocawear and I'm a thug
I get hassled by the cops and they make me kiss the rug
You rock my style and bite my rhymes
Take all the credit for creating what's mine

Like I said now its so cool to be black
Didnt used to be so when we were breaking our backs
Building this country and fighting its wars
When we couldn't get a cold drink from the local store

If you want to be black try living second class
Thats right i thought so, now you want to pass

Me, a mother?

My jaw hits the floor. The doctor just told me "Congradulations, you are going to be a mother."

I think God, why me.
Isn't there someone else to replace me
I think how this can be, me a mother thats not funny.

I was careful I did all the right things
A baby right now was not part of my dreams
I took the pill, he wore the hat
I don't think my dad will give me a pat on the back

Two months in a I'm all a wreck
I ask my baby daddy for that child support check
That child ain't mine he shouts at me
I thought you loved no other way could it be

Six months in and I don't want this child
What if it goes up to be wild.
What if it hates me and curses my soul
I don't think that hurt my heart could hold

Seven months in and I'm really showing
Everyone tells me smile baby you are glowing
I bite my nails thinking of my delivery
My boyfriend comes back showing some signs of chivalry

Oh my God, my water just broke
I begin to cry and start to chock.
Bear down and don't push yet
My mom was right this hurts like heck

It's a girl, great job I did
She is beautiful is she really my kid.
I lookat her for the first time
And think to myself she is all mine
