Have you met James Potter?
Some say he's an old rotter,
But he isn't I say,
You'll find out today.
He could do spells,
Transfigure bells,
Chase the Quaffle,
While eating a waffle.
Talented was he,
In love he be,
Lily Evans - the girl,
More precious than a pearl.
Friends with Lupin, Pettigrew, and Black,
Who always had his daring back,
When he tortured Snape,
And pulled off his cape.
Talented he was indeed,
But he had a need,
To be the best,
Either east or west.
But he had a good soul,
Exept when Snape was in a hole,
To Lily he listened to,
He did the right thing to do.
His seventh year came 'round,
A new life he found,
He won Lily's heart,
And nothing could take them ... apart.

~ Sorting Hat's Song ~
"Welcome first years welcome,
Welcome to Hogwarts school,
I am the Sorting Hat,
And I'm not a fool.
Just sit down on this stool,
I will read your mind,
And say where you shall go,
From what I shall find.
You could be in Gryffindor,
Where the very brave dwell,
Who are daring with nerve,
That would be swell.
Or possibly Hufflepuff,
Where they are true,
Some think that they're duffers,
But that's up to you.
Or yet maybe Ravenclaw,
They're the smart ones you see,
They are full of learning,
That's where you could be.
There's always good, old Slytherin,
They always achieve their end,
You'll have real friends there,
Who'll help you 'round the bend.
Please put me on,
Please dim the light,
If you're still afraid,
Remember that I don't bite."

We is serving House-Elves,
We don't have time for ourselves.
We is to always clean,
Our master is ... mean!
Bad me. Bad me.
Can't you see?
We pinches our ear,
We don't belong here!
We wants to be free,
Wonderful that would be.
Sock, scarf, glove, or hat,
All we need is one of that.
We will get some,
When the time shall come.
At the break of dawn,
We is breaking in song.
Hip, hip, horray!
What a glorious day.
Our wish came true,
