This isn't one of my best but I thought I would start out with it.
MAYBE
In the dark I hear you
& I cry b/c I can't hold you through your pain
you swear that I’m the only one
but her sweet love is calling your name
maybe I’m just paranoid
I hope that I am
I want to feel your arms around me
to shield me from this world
but the hopes and dreams of tomorrow
all fade into the distance
as we say good night
and you give me sweet goodbye kisses
you say if tomorrow doesn’t come
you want me to know you love me
though every time you say goodbye
a part of me wants to cry
Maybe my goodbyes are scarred for life
That I can never tell
All I know is that when something goes wrong
I can feel it
Do you feel it to?
Is that how love is supposed to be?
I’m lost and confused about what I’m doing
I just know if it was all left to me
I would never say goodbye
So no one would have to cry
Maybe I’m just weak
But I hope you still love me anyway
Cause I don’t care what you do
I’ll still love you

A Different War

As the bullet struck him
He fell to the ground just like Kim
I turned my head
I knew he must be dead

He would not die like this
They had both made that promise to Chris
If he was going to die
He would die in my arms, and that was no lie

As I ran through the smoke
I heard many others choke
“You can fight this” I scream
O how I want this to be a dream

Your hand on my face
O how it feels like cold lace
“You can’t leave me
I need your help so the whole world can see”

O those many tears
That show these were my fears
The world will pay
If they take you away

“One more kiss before I die”
The thought of that makes me cry
I promise this to you
They will pay too.

As the enemy comes to me
I take the gun from your hand so they can see
While the medics have got you
I’ll fight for you and win too

But without you the bullet flows through me
And I know that you can see
As I fall down beside you
They say you will live and I may too

As a wake in this room
I look around and it looks like my doom
My wrist looks so bad were I cut it
I look so white, like I came out of a crypt

I look to see
And yes you are next to me
Maybe now they’ll see
What they do when they make fun of me

With Me

When the truth comes
I know it is there
I feel sour presence
It flows in like a hum

To know that you are with me
Sets me apart it sets me free
My life is just like the open sea

When I look around
I get a shocking surprise
You had cut your ties
And set your spirit free

I scream I cry
I want to die
Without you to talk to
How can I live my life

You’ve dried my eyes
Then set me free
And no strings attached
You are no longer with me

Why does it happen
Why did you leave
I was always here for you
You listened to me I wanted to listen to you

I go to hide
I can’t stand the sun
I sit by you grave at night
I cry and wish you were by my side

The life a live is just a sham
Nothing compares
To what me might have had
They say I have a reason to live but I’m to mad

The sun is rising
My eyes are open
I sit up and notice were I am
Pools of covers surround my body it was just a sham

My friends are asleep
The alarm should ring soon
There is a knock on the door
I hear my name and know its you

I know it was just a dream
I run to the door
And the sun shines upon me
I feel like I’m on my favorite sea shore

Wind and rain can’t touch me
The snow of winter doesn’t stand a chance
And if that tornado hit down I would be safe
Because I am wrapped in your arms like lace

In the fold of time
I see something’s wrong
And then and there I know
You had the dream but didn’t want a show

A tear slips from my eye
And you know what it means
“I don’t want you to die”
The tears keep coming but they are happy ones

Held in your embrace
I faintly hear the alarm go off
As Katie shuts it off
Its time for yet another day a of work and play

With my friend to help
I know I can get through
He is not dead he is still with me
And I can smiled for everyone to see

You dried my eyes
Then walked in with me
Many stings still attached
I’m glad your still here with me!!

A lot of people don't understand this one so if you do that is great and if you don't thats ok you are not the only one

You Said Goodbye

I’ll miss your stupid jokes and crazy ways
I’ll miss tryin to figure out your maze
But its time for me to go
I’ll try not to put on a show
Remember me as the sweet thing I use to be
And not what you now see
My life has taken wrong turns
Mostly all of your burns
You said it was over
And so I tried to stay sober
When my blood pours from me
Don’t think about what u see
So I’ll say this goodbye
And please don’t ask why

Though this is not my note
It is just a poem I wrote
What is left of your note

For your death you so unsoundly sought
For the ring of blood around you
Flows in our heart too

Losing in a race
Taking second place
Hoping I leave a trace

You made me promise to talk
