Highway Song

Have you ever longed for acceptance
Tried to wish on your own star
Ever get kicked upon for penance
Do you still drive your dreams in that crappy ole car

Head out to the highway
Leave you worries at the curb
Wishing you could just fly away
But your ears ring with those words

When will I wake up from this world
When will my dreams just cave
When does the heart not suffer
Why can't you drown in my wave

Head out to the highway
Leave you worries at the curb
Wishing you could just fly away
But your ears ring with those words

A road to a brighter tomorrow
Always comes with a fee
Watch you fill up on dreams about sorrow
Cuz nothing is life is for free

Live life to the fullest
Don't listen to what they say
You'll always have to work your hardest
To find your path to the highway

Head out to the highway
Leave you worries at the curb
Wishing you could just fly away
But your ears ring with those words

Head out to the highway
Leave you worries at the curb
Wishing you could just fly away
But your ears ring with those words

I really like that! This is my favourite part "A road to a brighter tomorrow
Always comes with a fee
Watch you fill up on dreams about sorrow
Cuz nothing is life is for free"

Undecided Confusion

Aim too high
Heart sinks so low
Frowns turn into a heavy sigh
Brain falls out of tact while taking blows

Blue eyes turn red
Lips begin to quiver
I can't get the vision of you from my head
Tears leak and the spine shivers

Feet become weak
Lift my hand to your face
Open my mouth to speak
I feel so out of place

Shrug me off
Turn to go
Let out a nervous cough
Laugh to your friends and put on a show

My stomach feels heavy
So does my heart
You get in your Chevy
After you tear me apart

Words like daggers
Cut right through me
Weaping like a lost straggler
I drop to to my knees

Speed away
Leave me in the dust
Leave me heart astray
My eyes will so rust

Shoot for the moon
Land among the stars
Don't act like a loon
Fight the urge to spar

Boys come and go
Like a river set a flow
I hate him
I love him
I hate him
I can't let him go

Unsealed Wounds

I have scars on my feet
From the paths I've taken
The lies that I've birthed
And the ghosts that I've awaken

I have scars on my knees
From too much praying
Begging for forgiveness
As the sounds of fear seep from crying

I have a scar over my heart
That can't be repaired
From the ghosts that haunt my path
As my dreams are clouded from dispair

I have scars on my hands
From writing again
With a sheet of paper
I have picked up the pen

Castaway

The color of the ocean
Swept through your eyes
Swirling and drowning
Every memory of us that arised

A grasp of her hand
A slip of your tounge
My heart in peril
I knew that end had begun

Like a ship caught in that perfect storm
Tatered and tossed and drowned once more
The glory which was ours now has faded
As you set across with a new boat headed for shore

My eyes must decieve me
I cried out and tried to ignore
As you lay in my sands
With my closest friend, the ______

Double crossed, backstabbed
Label it what you will
Bottle me up and toss me to the sea
Or store me next to your last pill
