Hi there! I looked through the poetry section and *sob* no limerics. Well, somebodys got to do it.

For those that don't know. A limeric is a poem structured AAbbAA. A being / --/--/-
and B being /---/ For those of you who can't read that, I'll give and example...

There was a young man named Hall,
Who fell in a spring in the fall,
T'would be a sad thing,
If he died in the spring,
But he DIDN'T he died in the fall!
- Anon.

So, here's for the first HP one!

There was a young lad named Harry,
Who's schooldays were wild and scarry,
He's been attacked,
And completly wacked,
But Dubledore to help won't tarry.

c'mon guys! they're really not that hard! Here's another,

There was a profesor named Snape,
At whom all the students whould gape,
And his greasy hair,
And that awfull stair,
Is what makes them gape at Snape!

(I know that the last line is the same as the first, which is cheeting in a way, but Edward Lear, who made the limeric as popular as it is, did that all the time!)

Now for yours, please.

One of the Weasleys is Ron.
He plays with many a pawn.
His hair is quite red;
A rat slept in his bed.
He must degnome the lawn.

Ok, since I called this "looney," I have to do some on the two people called "looney" in the book: Lupin and Luna Lovegood.

There once was a werewolf called Remus J,
Who (though a werewolf) was quite OK,
He loved his work,
He didn't shirk,
But couldn't get jobs which would pay.

There once was a student called Luna,
Why wasn't she introduced soona,
She might love Harry,
Now THAT would be scarry,
But there's more than we think to Luna.

(I do belive she will play a bigger part in the next books. But I don't think Harry/Luna. I read in an interview with JK that she already knew who Harry would go with, and she'd dropped clews to that in previouse books. SHe also said that it wasn't as easy as all of us thought, and she'd be annoyed if we figured it out, considering that it took her considerable effert so that it would come to us all as a surprise. THat seems to rule out most of the people thought of)

(In answer to noseinabook: Yes, ab stuff refers to the rhythm, but also the rhime.)

Zymurgy : hmm...i haven't heard JK say that but it doesn't seem that Harry will go out with another girl until book 7...if so, it could be Luna...Harry and her do relate considerably.

She said that she had planted clews in earlier books, so Loona doesn't make it!

There was a woman named JK,
Who knew what she wanted to say,

hmm.... maybe it will be pansy! lol.... or maybe ginny--- nah! too obvious.... uhh..... it could be a slytherin, because jk said in the 2nd movie interview that they couldnt cut out a particular part because it would be needed in the sixth book.......??? uhh.....prolly lavander brown *shrug*

And ended up with bad timing!
