It's been such a long time since my last poem! I've just been really busy lately with work and re-arranging my room, and christmas shopping... and the list goes on and on. I really really want to write a new one. About what, I'm not sure yet. Maybe I'll write two... HP and non-HP related ones... I'm trying a not-so-long poem. I'll post soon!! (that's not a promise, but I'll try my best...)

*hem hem* As promised (or somewhat), here's a new poem! yay! I know I can do it if I concentrated, and today was the only day at work that I actually had time to do this. Ok, enough rambling, on to my poem... (you can tell which ship this is.)

Pretty Brown Eyes

There he goes again, with his pretty brown eyes
Looking at me lovingly, thinking up his lies.
I try to ignore him, and I go a different way
He's annoying, but somehow his smile makes my day.

He's been trying to get me to notice him
He's so obnoxious, his chances are slim.
He always hangs around his creepy little friends
Most of his time, with those three, he spends.

He thinks he's so cool, playing with the snitch
Always getting in trouble with poor old Mr. Filch.
He's just not someone I'd be proud to call 'mine'
But between love and hate, there is a fine line.

I saw him less as an annoyance, more of a good guy
I saw it when I looked into those pretty brown eyes.
Down by the lake, we spent most of our time
I fell in love with him, he's perfect and so fine.

The days and years pass, and our love grew stronger
Until one day, he asked to be together forever.
I married this fine man, and he's been good to me
We were in love and happy as we'll ever be.

We were blessed with a son, we called him Harry
He was a beautiful baby, strong like daddy.
Little did we know, our happiness will be cut short
By someone who thought killing was a sport.

As the night sky was filled with ominous green light
I was too late and saw James, my love, in a fight.
For that split second, he looked my way
"I love you, and Harry too", he seemed to say.

I looked at my love, I was scared for him
He wanted to reassure me, as things go dim.
He wanted to say everything will be alright
But it was too late, he'd lost the fight.

How could I protect the men of my life?
I was Harry's mother, but also James' wife.
There he goes again, with his pretty brown eyes
He closed them as I cried for the very last time...

Lily and James are the greatest Ship in Hp and I promised myself I wouldn't boast about your abilities but look how good it looks...
Um, I've always wondered, why everyone said Lily died saving JAmes when James was also trying to protect his son and wife. Your poem sort of brings back those thoughts...
Didn't James die as well? Why doesn't everyone make as hge deal as that? Well, aside from the new power or gift of love Lily gave Harry...How come it didn't come from James?
I dunno...A thought.

Well, maybe Harry's protection came from both James and Lily... well, i read somewhere that supposedly, James didn't have a choice. Voldemort just killed him. With Lily, the spell wasn't directed AT her, but she took the blow anyway, thus giving Harry the power. Didn't Voldemort ask her to move aside too, but she jumped between him and baby Harry??

Anyway, I tried to portray that in the poem, that James was fighting for his family... and Lily was torn because she didn't know if she should run to help her husband or try to protect her baby.

Basically saying, which one should I do first?? should I be a mother or be a wife?? Poor Lily... Poor James. and poor orphan Harry...

Yah, I see your point. The poem is still so cute. Actually, it's my fav out of your hp ones...
I have a request, you dont have to put it up next or even put it up at all, but I had to ask.
Um, Could you do a Siry poem? It still could be for the brokenhearted since he did leave Harry feeling oh so lonely.
Not necessarily like the love you've been writing about, but it's love nevertheless...

yeah, that's Tina saying all that! as if she was in school with him too, and stuff... anyway, since the Marauder's were like the 'cool' crowd, I'm sure there were plenty of girls chasing them. And Sirius, I bet many were in love with him (including Tina teehee)

If you remember, Liz actually added me in Siry Black's Second Chance...Haha, So I might have a chance to stalk him on there....If only she'd start writing....
