How do you write your poetry? Do you write whenever, where ever about anything--even if you've never experianced it? Do you type it, or handwrite? Is that on paper or anything you can find around? Do you use pen or pencil? Do you draw pictures to try and write the correct words for an emotion? Do you write when you are in a rush of emotion, when its still in your mind? Can you not write when a teacher asks you to write a poem? Do you usually work for rhymes or do you just free style? Whats your style, if you have one? Do you write a lot about HP? Do you keep a notepad and pen handy all the time? Do you care about punctuation or grammer? Do you care about anything? Do you rewrite constantly? What type of poetry do you prefer to write in? Do you write at all!?!?

ok, and since everyone apparently cares....

I can't write when I'm asked, I just write and ususally right when I'm in an emotion. I write whenever where ever, and I love it. Sometimes, if I find something really interesting in HP, I write about it. I don't write about love, or anything I haven't gone through because its difficult to write about that. I write in free style, and I hate rhyming beacuse it takes away from free writing. I think about writing all the time, how to get the exact and most perfectly descriptive words.

i write when inspiration strikes :lightbulb: and i rarely write good poetry when asked to. i keep a small notepad and pen with me at all times, and i usually just jot down phrases and sections and then work on them when i have time. :moon:

i write when i feel like writing and its only poetry that can really get my feelings across.

oh and a tip to writers, dont hesitate to write something if its not really your style. i strayed form my first style and ended up with the style i ahev now, and im proud of that style. dont be scared to try new things. i believe in you - all of you. :star: :moon: :star: :rose: :rose: :rose:

I adore writing in forms. I think it's more fun that way. I forget who said it but... it was a poet lauret, "Writing free verse is like playing tennise without the net" and I totaly agree with him, whoever he was. Name escapes me at the moment. I like villanelles, and sonnets, and limerics, and everythings. I also like to experiment with new forms I make up. I like using unusual words, and frazes, or incorperating forein languages in my poems. I have written poems in German and Latin as well as in English. I write poetry practicly all the time, but don't carry pen and paper all the time. I use what I have at the moment. If I'm in my office, then my computer. If there's paper handy, then that. I do keep a journal in which I write once a day, and usually a poem comes to me then, and so of course those are all by hand. That's all for me!
