Winter's Chill
Barren trees scrape the sky,
Deprived of leaves,
Stretching up high,
Left alone to their fate
Like a savage beast,
The wind howls with all its might,
Try as men does to tame it,
It won’t give up without a fight
The darkness creeps up upon the land,
Saturating everything from bone to leaf,
A ghost ship left unmanned,
To crash upon us and bring regret
The snow falls from icy clouds,
Freezing man’s heart and soul,
Winter is truly hear,
Just in time to take its toll
A village sits upon a hill,
Cold and dark as empty space,
Left alone in winter’s chill,
May spring come swiftly home
Here is my latest- I wrote it a day before it was forecasted to snow… A lot. Sadly, it didn’t snow enough to get me out of school but it was inspirational none the less. I hope you enjoyed it!

Paint Me a Picture
Paint a picture for me of a place I can go,
Where the wind and the rain mingles with snow,
And the sky is forever a deep endless blue,
And I will never be without you.
Draw me a portrait of a woman in love,
Her eyes aglow and skin as soft as a dove,
Give her that which mankind knows not,
The things that can never be bought.
Take me a picture of a couples embrace,
A nameless time and a hidden face,
Let them dance in the moonlight like a pair of swans,
Feathers streaming across emerald green lawns.
Bring me a frame that will hold such a thing,
As true affection and a tune with a ring,
That can bring you joy with just one glance,
And will let you know that you too will get your chance.

I really really liked Paint Me a Picture! It's pretty and has great imagery. Keep up the writing, if you're anything like me. It's hard to find inspiration or time for that matter to write!
