Ok here it goes, my first Harry Potter poem:

Hogwarts End

this is the end of Hogwarts, it would seem,
of the teachers, of the school, of the dream;
but not without forewarn does the magic go,
to fly, to drift, to settle, as would snow;
it does not seem possible that Hogwarts could end,
that its eternal flight would reach just around the bend;
impossible for its count could never reach zero,
yet its time has come with the falling of its hero;
not the founders, professors, not headmaster himself,
could present such a loss as the parody of wealth.
He is gone and with him Hogwarts has been lead astray,
Harry Potter's death has brought the last day of days.

ok, this one is really strange and a little dark, i suppose. i hope you'll read it anyway. and please let me know what you think! :flowersmile:

Seeing Double

the presence of his father was ever near,
his scar hurt from his enemy's recoil,
the similarities became more clear,
the pain, the pleasure, the ememies toil,
he became just as he was more each day,
soon he would see through his eyes,
his path would soon be clear, he was shown the way,
he laughed and laughed then sobed and screamed 'lies!'.
he wanted his father to be near,
his enemy was ever close,
but to him it was never clear,
the horror in hiim rose,
As he realized, passed the lies,
what he now knows.
his father was here in himself,
and his enemy would become all of his self.

Lupin'sdaughter, have you posted yours? if so where? i'd like to read it. :sorcerer:

This one is really confusing, i think. but here it goes...

Terrible Story

a flash, a crash, a blast of green light,
none but one has survived the fight,
against red eyes, and a dangerous power,
the 'boy who lived' is the only one to tower,
above the dark lord and his terrible wrath,
but the boy did live, and found many friends, chose many paths,
to fight for the new age, a better age, a better world,
but his tries were shot down, his feelings swirled,
in an endless cycle that would get them all killed,
and let the goodness be filled,
by none other than he who should try the hardest,
he who should go the distance, reach the farthest,
but this did not stop the 'boy who lived', oh no,
there was too much left to do, too many places left to go,
and so,
his friends tried harder, as he himself did, too,
to face the threat that could upset the flow,
the balance, the order of all things,
the danger that would scare the greatest of kings,
and once again he came face to face,
and the curse was said, but someone else took his place,
someone near and dear to him is was,
tha fell in his stead for a noble cause.
~~~~~
i'm working on a
*lighter* poem right now. i hope it comes out alright. :sorcerer:
here's my newest one!
Rowena Ravenclaws Power
Rivers end and flowers bloom,
Over the cliff's edge stands the tomb,
Of a great witch long since past,
Were lies her power that will forever last,
'Til a time with no time,
And a stair with no climb,
'Til destiny finds it,
And a young girl claims it.
please, tell me what you think! :flowersmile:
thank you for your replies. i appreciate it!
Hogwarts Library:
Books and tables and students, too,
aren't all that's found on library shelves,
tales of history and destinym, (and give homework a clue),
reminders for the teachers themselves,
of times with great triumph and wheree brave knights slew,
evil creatures and each other, so legends tell,
ties where the great wings upon which they flew,
crumbled before their eyes as they fell,
books with well told tales, and some new,
about daring factions and failing empires,
and the ending sires.
So beware, students who search,
for some places aren't meant for your eyes,
and might give your stomache a lurch,
though some are harmless as flies,
there are screaming books that wil never do,
and dangerous spells you wish you never knew,
beware the restricted section,
do not go there, there is no need,
the books in there are not for affection.
not one of my best, but please tell me what you think! :flowersmile:
^thank you. (i like that one, too.) and here's another one that i posted in another place first, but it should be here, i think. anyhow, this is one i wrote a long time ago.
"The Scar"
lightening to the mind from the hand,
lit by your enemies command,
a flash of green light,
a mothers prayer,
a promise to be kept,
something that must be fair.
