here's one. its called

The Reign of Lord Voldemort

Darkness pervades light,
And comes into being;
Form and shape as one,
Leaving no room for seeing;
Reign of evil steals all that is light;
Downfall of hope; it gives to the night.
Rule of that which has not risen,
For years beyond, all now listen.

He moves now swiftly,
Among the trees;
Fear runs rampant,
It does not please.
Eyes of flame,
Heart of stone,
Gives way for the mark,
Brands in the dark.

They cower before him;
Spreading evil to harm;
Sell their soul,
With a mark on their arm.
Engraved forever,
With that formidable sign.
It makes them know, and cower,
That light lost, and dark is power.
A warning it stands, eternally binding;
And destiny unfolds what they have been hiding.

But Alas! No more;
Tumbles reign ever-heightening;
For something left of hope;
Leaves a mark like lightning.
A day is reborn,
An era, certainly;
But will fate have it that way?;
Will it stay eternally?

No answer yet,
Can for sure be given;
But beware: all goodness;
Darkness is still living.

In the deep of some night,
It will rise again;
Watch for the thunder
Lightening will plan.
And he will be fallen,
The hope that had flashed;
Because he cannot resist,
What is come from the past.

A high, cold voice breaks the night,
Skulls and serpents gleam;
As emerald stars of light.
Heed a warning,
All who wish to fight;
Counter light with darkness,
And darkness with light.

im glad you guys like..here's one more

The Malfoy Legacy

Eyes of stone,
Heart of flame.
To poisoned soul,
Remains the same.

Beats the fire,
Low of sound,
Hardens soul-
Is in shackles bound.

Steel are the chains,
And stone are the binds.
Grey to match,
Eyes of kind.

Watch from afar,
And never see;
What lies before,
And what must be,

Freedom when the fire,
Burns stone to grey ash;
Waters fill earths,
And barriers crash.

Eyes of flame,
And heart alike,
Set free from stone.
And come to life.

thnx, all! here's one more:

The Blood of Roses

Raindrops fall,
And lightening flashes,
Upon the Earth tonight.
I see your smile,
As it once was,
A halo encompassing light.

A tear slides down my face,
As my sadness increases,
And my heart falls and breaks,
A thousand or more pieces.

And I can't see,
What there is besides,
What love and happiness,
My darkness hides.

The days that were,
When loves were built,
The nights of whispers,
Blown by sands,
Of time and wilt...

Ride on storms,
That rage across seas,
Across time and Earth,
On waves appeased.

A dam, a wall,
Of feelings built,
Must break now,
Upon what guilt!

Blacks and reds,
Whites: what lack,
The blood of roses,
Will bleed but black.

And the raindrops fall,
And the lightening flashes,
Upon the Earth,
With past it clashes.

But maybe not,
In aspects all,
For when darkness rose,
It was doomed to fall.

And light was there,
Among the rushes,
Rosebushes with thorns,
Sharp as the past,
And bold as the future.

[b]sorry for being such a "literary arts teacher" , but does anyone get what i'm trying to portray here? any themes? :mrgreen:

hm...The Blood of Roses seems like a parting and sin, like the blacking rose.
This is a bit too literal, but the whole thing made me think of the biblical story of Noah and the Ark... :ermsmile:
When reading it aloud, the stanzas with 5 lines sound a bit akward.

interesting...but not really what i meant lol

i t actually didnt really occur to me about Noah's Ark..

i was actually centering my poems around the theme of darkness, hence, evil, and it's fight against good, but you got the parting and sin point right

how bout this one?

The sun may rise,
And the moon may set,
All upon the day;
But what speaks thereof
Is nothing more,
Than beauty gone astray.

Timeless loves,
And timeless times,
Were counted suns and moons;
Timeless beauties spoken then,
Were lost and whirled, confused

Around the day,
Across the night,
To whispers say,
To bring to life

What must be wrought,
And much denied,
In wrings of steel,
It will be sought.

But nevermore,
Upon the sun,
Never count,
Till the day is done.

For what may be,
But the toil of the moon,
To bring to life
What will be soon...
Timeless Beauty
