I have a plan for all you riddle-lovers! Um…. I’ll pm Angel…since that might be considered spam.
It’s so not odd. It’s like the life of everyone. In my opinion, the meaning to that is even if you have something you like, you always have to point out the bad stuff instead of just be thankful. Mainly for perfectionists, but we all feel like that sometimes too!

Gothic?


We were shopping the other day
It was the first time we’d been together in a long time
I felt uneasy, not sure of how things would turn out
We had grown apart for a reason, of that I was sure


You hadn’t seemed to change much
All the way to the mall you ranted about everyone that you could
You wanted to know if I thought you should ask someone out or not
All you did was remind of my lacking social life and how I’d always be alone

In the make up department I was looking for black fingernail polish
You turned around in your prepish clothes and asked if I was going gothic on you
I raised an eye brow, but turned my back on you while looking at all the different colors
I said “No, it’s just the one color I don’t have.” But I was thinking “What if I was?”


While walking through the mall reminiscing of old times someone caught our eye
He had a Mohawk and was dressed in black.
You said, “He’s so cute, why did he do that to himself?”
I said, “I think he looks awesome, not to mention hot!”


This wasn’t the only person you criticized that day
I had to restrain myself from yelling at you many a time
While deep inside I wanted to cry… because you were laughing about the real me
I wondered why you teased and judged so many people who dared to be different


On the way home I struggled with accepting our differences
While you went on about the date you were going on tomorrow
I started to wonder if you’d ever grow up and start to think for yourself
I pondered if being alone made you think more clearly, less media like


All the way home I was lost in thought; nodding and commenting when necessary
We said good bye and I wished that we could still have that childish friendship
It had been so comforting, having a best friend… but I realized that I have to move on
I’d rather be considered gothic, than a media driven robot

Who needs rhymes when the substance of it all speaks the volumes of the feelings in the poem or poems. Happy ones, sad ones they all seem sincere to me and that matters to me the most, not showin off just pourin the complicated thoughts of the "common" minds (wich isnt an easy job at all), but yours is a quite talented one.
