Grand Opening

Grand openings are grand affairs,
not like when I was caught with the Duke of Windsair!

Oh bother, the press,
dealing with them is such a mess.

*Fires the cannons for love*
I wish I could see Lissydove,
In any event this thread's here,
and I think we should all cry out a cheer!

Ron Weasley's a swell guy,
he's totally cool, and fly,
that's why we're all here,
so let's get Shan-Shan to buy us all ~~beer~~ steers.

So Weasley is our king,
we all love him for his swing,
he's so sweet and cute,
you should all play him a toot, with your flute.

So here's the first poem, I've done my part,
so don't be mean and break my heart ♥
write more Ron love here in this thread,
Or I'm gonna sick Teddy on you, I dread.

Shan-Shan's Induction into Cruphood

2000 posts have past, but they won't be the last,
Shan-Shan's reign of terror is never that fast!

She may be quite busy, no wait, make that tizzy,
Whether busy or tizzy, she'll always be fizzy.

Her attempt at poetry is really quite sad,
It may be just a fad, but boy is it bad!

Her love for SnitchSeeker, and her red-headed keeper,
Has saved her many times from becoming a weeper.

Shan-Shan loves her superhero, and now must go,
For her poetic mind has run quite low.

My Shan-Shan she's so funny,
thinks she can't rhyme, that's runny,

I think she can do it very well,
in fact, I think I know that smell,

It's Shan-Shan's spam spam,
did you know this stuff is made with ham?

She loves Ron as much as me,
no that means equal to what I do bee,

Can you blame her?
He's better than Mrs. Clairol.

So that didn't rhyme,
it doesn't happen all the time,

Go write a poem or two,
then come and tell me boohoo!

A Newsworthy Tale

A trailer on the news
Shan-Shan did just see,
It did not give her the blues, no
She squealed with glee!

The hint of a kiss
Between Harry and Cho
Was hard to miss
Though it was not slow!

A sneak peek of Ron,
The sexiest Weasley,
By far was what won
Shan-Shan's love of the teasy

And suspense-ful trailer in all Potter history
The release date she knows,
It is no mystery

And as she counts down
The days to her trip
July 13 in London-town
On her itinerary has a large red tick!

The Vampire turns a brooding eye
to the thicket come alive
in the stregnthening windstorm
then to the advancing swarm
as thunder booms on high
The howling wind echoing
the call of the beasts loping
over the bloodied glade
The Vampire raises his blade
The snarls and cries over the dell
a sure and chilling death knell
for the warrior brave
Yet unafraid he faces the horde
with stony aspect raises his sword
He wades into the bloody fray
determined to survive the day
At his side, a flame-haired brother
dearer to him than any other
fighting side by side to defeat
Fenrir's army of ferocious beasts
And if they cannot withstand
the attack of this rabid band
Still their names will be immortal
their blood shed on hallowed vale
And generations will recall
The Battle of Ottery St. Catchpole.

It breaks my heart to think,
"Oh Ottery you poor fink",
he's stuck in a tale,
no the door didn't catch his tail,
but a story without an end,
which unlike Ottery's terrible trends,
is supposed to keep going forever,
and not until he thinks of something clever.
But no one has written,
and Ottery is quite smitten,
to think that he never will add,
to the terrible plight he's had.
Lost forever in limbo,
quick someone call Jimbo,
maybe he'd add a quick note,
and help out a poor bloke,
out of his dire predicament,
being stuck in a story is indecent!

Ronald Weasely is my King,
even though he's not got Bling,
I don't mind cuz he's all mine,
Hermione just thinks he's fine.

Harry loves Ron like a pal too,
and can you blame him he's loyal & true,
A pal like that is what Harry needs,
otherwise there'd be quaking of his knees.

So Harry, Hermione and Ron, the three,
are the bravest heroes that you'll see,
so I love them all "Go save the day,"
but Ron the best, that's all I gotta say.

Oh you devious girl,
If I weren't a boy I'd be a churl,
you did smite me with love,
and you're taking my dove,
but Ron's only yours for a while,
cuz he's mine and I get him in style.

Dearest Shan-Shan,
the sight of you,
does make me spew,
so much poetry,
it's wordy glee.

I think you're sweets,
and I love you more than beets,
and yes I think I'll rhyme,
for you anytime,
it's not many friends like you I've got,
you're better than a house just bought.
You're more fun than running with Billy the kid,
and you don't smell so bad after days of done rid,
that's western talk for riding a horse,
don't forget I'm a cowboy aaw course.

So I have to go now,
I don't know when I'll be back or how,
but know always this is true,
I love you then, before and after too.

Explication of the postatation

Before you get cross with me,
allow me a little reprieve,
the reason I post again,
isn't so hard to explain,
I hate the edit line,
not my idea that's fine,
call this spam if you want,
but I'd say you're a part ...
of that maddening crowd,
that doesn't know a sow from a cow,
fine art from the low,
or a lady from a *slaps* dough, I was gonna say dough ...

The time has come for Shan to say
Farewell to KFC,
To the Colonel, and all her dear workmates,
It's time for her to flee.

With two more shifts and lots of gifts
And many camera clicks,
The only things she'll take with her:
4 years experience and lots of pics.

It's with a happy heart she hangs up her hat,
Her Team Member Trainer badge too.
Although, if she's sneaky enough,
She'll hide it and they won't notice, the fools.

The uniforms, all washed and dry,
Will be returned with a smile,
Glad to be rid of them,
Possibly sad, but only for a little while.

It's with a laugh, a dance, a cheer,
At the thought of sleeping in late,
That gives her the will to keep
Working 'till the end of the last day.

All this fuss means one important thing:
More time to spend in the Club!
Where Weasley is our King,
And SS friendships are worth the hubub!

It seems I find myself here again, to write another poem for a friend.
This one's a new poem, but this is still an old friend. So here goes okay?

A Poem for a love so true
by Ottery St. Catchpole

You couldn't find a better, truer friend, than Shan-Shan or Scooby Doo,
Well I can't say that there what I said, is totally and completely true,
there's also Ron, and Scrappy Doo, and can't forget Rupert too.

In any case this poem isn't a list of true friends,
just a small reminder of one that's a godsend.
Shan-Shan and I met, I can't remember when or how,
but don't go getting upset sweet dear, really don't have a cow.

The time or place we met isn't something surreal,
I wouldn't call it something funny, or something trivial,
If I forgot it's because I think too much,
come to think on it I think that's when the car broke the clutch.

In any event this is to tell you, I do think of you,
you're always writing me sweet things like when I'm blue.
You make me smile and not just every once in a bloody while.
You're the kind of girl I could come to love and even dress you in argyle.

It tears me apart that you're leaving your home to go out in the big world,
to meet new folks, buy a home, try to steal my Rupert, and unfurl,
your lovely gossamer wings,
or would you rather they were feathered like angels things?
Whatever you choose I know that's the right thing,
because you think with your heart and not with your spleen.

Think on this in the days up ahead, when you can't find me around,
I'm never so far a friend that you can't find me in town,
because wherever you go, or wherever I am,
you carry me in your heart, and when you get back you'll have tons of my spam.

Bonus Mini Poem

Love you Shan-Shan ♥ You're loyal and true,
when you're gone even for a minute I'll be blue,
hope you have fun in Hong Kong,
but don't bring back King Kong,
though I can say I'd love a kimono or two,
a samurai sword, and some Chinese glue.

A love letter to Ron Weasley, the perfect man ♥

Dearest Ron,

When in times of darkness, I find my soul lost,
you're who I turn too, because you're better than that show Lost.
Alias, with Jennifer Garner and the spies, yeah that was better,
I don't know what the hell they were thinking I should write 'em a letter.

But back to our favorite red headed boy, who's heart is loyal and true,
just like my Shan-Shan's is to me, so I tell y'all Booyah, when she's gone I'll be boohoo.
Ron's ace when it comes to catching the quaffles,
he's not the kind who'd be caught thinking of waffles.
No way, Jose, our boy is the man, no wait he's the King,
he's not blonde and mean, or uncombed with a scar but he's better than bling,
because Ron's got ... I don't know some thing,
that makes all our hearts go ring, ring.

Someday we all hope to see him in Hermione's arms,
because if not then there's going to be lots of alarms,
the shippers they're gonna go crazy mad yo,
it's like a keg of dynamite ready to blooooowww.

Ron's he's loyal and true, with a heart of gold, and one sister too,
so when he's off in Hermione's arms and I'm feeling all blue,
I think I'll be hitting on Fred and George, who knows maybe Bill too.

Love's Fool
by a fool for love ♥

When in sailing the course of a life,
you'll find yourself going through much strife.
Ronald being Harry's friend,
stuck with him through battles with evil until the end.
Being a Weasley he put up with his brother's abuse,
their taunts, their curses, and their disuse,
being a Gryffindor as well, Ronald wore that proud,
being a keeper, and helping win the cup so yell Weasley never let the quaffle in aloud!

But through the stormy weather of his life,
never did he come across a stormier sea, or more grife,
than when he first set out to conquer love,
ignoring what his true heart said about Hermione ... his dove.
No, our poor misguided Ron,
went with the choice of Lavender, how wrong!
When it was truthfully Hermione he sought,
for her love earlier he had fought.
Against Krum and his athletic prowess,
against Draco the twitchy little ferret no less.

But though he was constantly under Fleur's spell,
his heart really did know he loved Hermione best, well.
So, think of him most kindly,
when you think his love's tom foolery he's left behind him.
And remember well, we've all in the journey of our lives,
have played love's fool ... many a time before we found our wives.

For such a long time
Has Shan-Shan been gone
Travelling and partying
And singing her song
Of youthful discovery
And pastures unknown
A wealth of knowledge
She has since grown

Other distractions
Have led her astray
The likes of the Cullens
Have come out to play
Capturing her mind
And forcing her to stay
Inside with their stories
On the couch all day

Nevertheless
Her loyalties remain
To the Potter fandom
And not in vain
She seeks the comforts
Of her old SS friends
To obsess and fawn
Over Ronald again

And so my dear ones
The time has arrived
For ShanShan to return
All well and alive
To join you all
As we dance and sing
And celebrate the life of
Weasley, Our King!

Okay, so I'm a little rusty, and it's lame, and, in general, I suck. But I wouldn't be me if I didn't come back with some stupid pathetic bang, right?
Otts, reading through our old poetry made me all melancholy and nostalgic. So I couldn't resist writing another one of my lame attempts. *stupidgrin*
I miss our SS PM's. They were where it all began... *sighs*
We should have a Poem Showdown. See who can write the cheesiest RonLove poetry. =p
