Doyle had remained in his favorite chair in a dark corner of the staff room during the meeting. He knew the Headmistress would start off with introductions... he hated introductions. He rolled his eyes as his colleagues acted like the children they taught and slowly left the room after everyone else had gone. However, the Headmistress had requested that they take advantage of the lack of students and head to Hogsmeade so, despite his longing for continued peace and quiet, he yielded to her wishes and went along. Doyle even went so far as to join the rest in their favorite pub. He went over to the far side of the bar and ordered a nice shot to enjoy by himself; just because he was here didn't mean he had to actually socialize with the others. He'd just do what he usually did and try to hide unless one of the others decided to notice him and try to draw him into a conversation.

Hair: brown, clean cut

General Physical Appearance: A pureblood wizard, he prefers to dress in 'proper' wizard attire at all times. On the rare occassion he is without his robes, he can be found wearing a clean-cut, black, suit which is tailored (not purposely) to fit his attractive, medium, build. He is light-skinned but not pale. He also wears a stylish pair of glasses, giving him a look to match his intelligence.

Personality & History: A former employee for the Ministry of Magic (Department of Mysteries), the reason for his becoming a teacher at Hogwarts is as closely kept a secret as what he did while working in the depths of the Ministry. Doyle doesn't speak much about himself, or in general, so most of his background remains unknown. He was Slytherin Prefect and eventually became Head Boy while at Hogwarts. His professors regarded him as a very intelligent young wizard with great potential. He excelled in potions, charms, and transfiguration, though he did well in all of his classes, receiving outstanding marks in all of his NEWTs. This quiet professor is completely disinterested in the personal dramas his colleagues seem to find themselves in and mostly keeps to himself, preferring to blend into the background. Though he doesn't give much care to his looks and can hardly be called a social butterfly, Doyle is substantially more attractive and socially capable than the previous potions master.
