Yaxley Manor is everything one would expect the home of a well-off pureblood family to be, but beneath the beauty lay secrets that some couldn't imagine and that most wouldn't be able to live with.

Sarah Corner was scared. Was it that hard to understand?- No then why she was standing infront of the Yaxley manor- She didn't know. The moment Sarah had recieved the letter from Camira- she had stood there, staring at the letter for twenty minutes without even blinking once. Camira had wanted her over. Did that mean- Camira had decided she didn't hate Sarah afterall?

After a long debate with her Mum, she had finally decided that she shouldn't be rude and at least drop by (Trust her mum to always not be rude, Hmpf).

"So MUm, remember- the moment you see Marie even near your window- You'll be here to pick me up," she reminded her Mum again- who was admiring the beautiful palace like manor.

"Don't worry, Sar .. I am sure the girl is just trying to amends," Julian Corner, told her 14 year old looking around. It felt wierd hto her- the place almost looked empty.

Sarah frowned a bit. The last time Camira had treid to make amends- Sarah saw snales flying toward her. "Just be here, kay?"

"Ofcourse, Darlin'- Now I ebtter be running- My Editor needs me,"Sarah's Mum said quickly pecking her only young daughter on the cheek. "Take Care, I am gonna miss you"She smiled as she apparated away.

Sarah sighed and looked at the space her Mum had been standing a few sceconds ago. No turning back now. She had to go in. Gulping, Sarah moved forward- it felt like a long walk toward the door. Placing her bag on the ground- Sarah lifted her hand and banged loudly on the door.

Here we go...

Kayla Winters walked up towards the Manor with her grandmother by her side and she was scowling at this fact. "You don't need to see me all the way to the door, I think I can find my way from here" she sneered. "You've never bothered to see me off before."

Rosa gave a grunt of impatience. "Stop your whining Kayla, it's not very becoming of you. I am merely curious has to who you are staying with. I have heard a great deal about the Yaxley's but have yet to meet them."

Kayla rolled her eyes at her grandmother. "Is there anyone you don't know" she muttered under her breath. She stopped walking for a moment and turned toward the elder. "You will behave won't you? I mean you will try and act how a usual grandmother should act. Tell me you're not going to embarass me in front of my friends and do something...like I don't know torture me in front of them."

"Then I suggest you behave then and I won't have to resort to drastic measures will I?" Rosa cocked an eyebrow at Kayla and smirked at her. "Let's get moving shall we or I might just change my mind about letting you stay."

Kayla narrowed her eyes but said nothing and continued her way towards the Manor. Once she had reached the front door, she reached out with her hand and rang the door bell praying that her grandmother would not stay long.

Kayla was about to send out a jovial greeting to Camira even thought about giving the girl a high five but she caught her grandmother's look from the corner of her eye and she refrained from doing so. "Hello Camira" she said formally. "It's was a pleasure to accept your invitation..." she half turned towards her grandmother..." allow me to introduce you to my grandmother. Camira, my grandmother Rosa - Rosa this is Camira Yaxley."

Rosa inclined her head towards Camira. "A pleasure to meet you also Miss Yaxley. I was ever so delighted when Kayla, informed me of your friendship. Not a finer family could you find anywhere...besides my own."

Kayla rolled her eyes and looked at Camira trying to suppress a laugh. "Well if that was all" she said looking at Rosa. "I guess you can go now, I know how busy you are."

"Patience Kayla, I was wondering if Mr Yaxley was at home? And who else would be staying here?" Rosa asked with a look at Camira.

Excelsior walked to the door of the Yaxley Manor and knocked. Last term had been such a strange one, he and Camira had gotten together as boyfriend and girlfriend and they had spent a wonderful Valentine's Day together, then the world had turned inside out as he had eaten candy which had turned him into a fox and he had spent most of his third term away from Hogwarts, away from Camira, and he couldn't even remember her for a while. Finally, he had remembered how special she was to him, right when he was getting ready to leave for the States, but better late than never, because now he and Camira had a chance again. Even if he were living far away he would never forget her, and he had come to visit her after receiving her invitation, here to visit her in her home with her friends.

It should be a very interesting visit. He would finally have a chance to get to know Camira better, out of the Hogwarts environment, as well as spend time with her friends. That could only be a good thing!

Jace Collins walked up to the Yaxley Manor, hoping he wasn't too late. He ran a hand through his blue hair as he hurried up to the front door. He stopped in his tracks when he saw Camira, another girl he didn't know, and Kayla. But who was that woman with her?

Oh. It was her grandmother. Kayla's infamous grandmother. Frowning, but steeling his resolve, Jace stiffened his back and approached the four of them.

"Hey," he said, his voice carrying through their conversation. "I hope I'm not too late." He refrained from kissing Kayla's cheek, but gave her a small wink when he caught her eye. He turned to Camira and nodded to her. "Thanks for having me, Camira."

He glanced at the other girl, whom he didn't know and gave her a smile before turning to Kayla's grandmother. "Hello, ma'am," he said politely, though with a slight smirk. "Pleasure to meet you. The name's Jace Collins."

Jace turned when another boy arrived, and he nodded to him as well. He didn't know him. But he turned back to Kayla and her grandmother, and ran a hand through his blue hair again.

Kayla caught Jace's wink and she gave him a grin and reached out and took his hand. "It's nice to see you Jace, I've missed you" she said softly.

Rosa looked at the new arrival and gave him a calculating look. "Yes I've heard all about you Mr Collins" she said silkily. "A pleasure to meet you also" she leaned over to him. "Since you have taken to courting my granddaughter I feel it wise to warn you...that should any hard come to her under your care, your life won't be worth living" she whispered so that the others could not hear, she raised herself up to full height and turned her attention back to Camira.

Kayla looked between her grandmother and Jace and frowned slightly, didn't she just tell her grandmother to behave herself. She would ask Jace later at what her grandmother had said to him.


"Well then" said Rosa. "I shall send an owl to your father later and we can converse then." Turning to Kayla, she gave the girl a tight smile. "I'll leave you to your friends...behave yourself because if you don't I will know." With that Rosa walked away.

"Yeah catch ya" Kayla said brightly. "Stupid old bat" she muttered before turning back to the others. "Sorry you had to endure that."

Jace's eyes widened as the woman leaned over to him. He frowned, and his hand tightened unwillingly on Kayla's, but not so much that it would hurt. He didn't have a chance to say anything however, as the woman turned to speak to Camira, and then finally she left.

What did she mean his life wouldn't be worth living? He felt that little bit of anger rise from him, and he had to hold it fast, or he'd go after that horrid woman and give her a piece of his mind.

He turned back to Kayla and Camira, and the other girl, and boy, and stiffened his back. He nodded to Kayla, and Camira, but didn't say anything, clearly perturbed and irritated at what the woman said. Why would any harm befall Kayla whilst she was under his care? He'd die for her. He'd take the Avada Kedavra curse for her, if he had to.

Kayla looked at Jace and could tell something was troubling him. "Are you okay?" she asked softly. She looked at her grandmother's retreating back and scowled. "What did she say to you?"

Camira finally allowed herself to burst into laughter. Formalities had been taken care off. It was time to have fun! "Wow. What a ...colorful woman", she said with a smirk. "Come on everyone. Inside. Isn't proper to have all these people standing outside the door. What will the neighbors think", she said mock snobbishly. She held open the door so everyone could get inside and walked towards the living room.



Once there, she took a seat and slumped her shoulders. That's right. She was such a rebel. "So, what does everyone want to do?"

"Oh yes isn't she just" Kayla growled before laughing. She tugged on Jace's hand and followed Camira inside. She took in her surroundings with appreciation. "Impressive" she murmured.

She flopped down onto one of the couches and smirked at Camira's question. "Party of course" Kayla replied.

Camira laughed. This is exactly why she had invited Kayla. "Of course. Snickers, Twix." It may have seemed strange that she was randomly naming muggle candy bars, but you needn't worry. She was not channeling the ghost of the very late Dumbledore, for a few seconds later, two pops were heard and suddenly two little houselves appeared. They looked the same and it was hard to tell that on was female and the other male.

"Yes, what is Mistress wanting. I will be doing anything she is wanting", Snickers said, the whole time taking a low bow.

"You may look up at me Snickers", she said almost kindly. He was her favorite elf. "I want you to do something for me. I want you to keep guard and tell me if father is coming, okay."

"Yes, Snickers will do that, Mistress. He will not let you down."

"You should not be sneaking against your father mistress", Twix muttered.

Camira glared at the daring house elf. "Shut up Twix. You'd better keep your mouth shut or I'll chop off your ears...the muggle way." She turned to her guests. "Stupid elf. Sorry about that."

"Yes, Sorry Mistress", Twix said with a squeak. Then she was gone.

Jace shook his head at Kayla when she tugged him into the house. "Later," he said, still perturbed. When Camira called upon two house elves, he sat down in a vacant chair and watched with slight interest as she threatened one of the house elves. He chuckled lightly, then began to look around.

"Nice place you've got here," he said approvingly. "I like it. But do you think I should be in here?" he asked. "After all, I'm not even sure if I'm pureblood, halfblood or muggleborn." He smirked, having heard the pureblood remark made to Kayla's grandmother.

Kayla chuckled at Camira. "No need to apologise my grandmother has a few like that as well. But there's one that I like his name is Harley...well that's not his real name but that's what I like to call him because he's a wild one just like the muggle motorcycles you get...you probably don't know what I'm talking about" Kayla laughed. "He stepped in when my grandmother was dishing out her usual punishment to me...poor thing copped quite the beating" Kayla shuddered. "Anyway enough of that, how many more people have you invited?"

"Okay" she said softly still worried about the look on his face. If Rosa, has said anything to upset him then she will...what Winters try and take on a witch who has forty years experience on you...get real.

"Who cares why you are, I'm glad you're here and that we get to spend some alone time together" she reached over and gave him a quick peck on the cheek.

"I - you - what?" Kayla spluttered looking at Camira and then giving Jace a sideways glance and she groaned. "Just so you know Camira, Jace and Helios do not get on. The last time they met they came to blows and Jace near put him in the hospital wing...I myself threatened him at the feast" she growled remembering the incident. Then a small smile tugged at her lips. "This could be interesting though...I wouldn't mind carrying out my threat to the young Prince."

"I can't think of anyone else that I would want to invite...the most important person is here" she said giving Jace's hand a gentle squeeze.

Excelsior looked around, he felt very comfortable here in Camira's home, it reminded him of other places he had lived before, places he had visited. He took a seat on one of the chairs and waited to see what the others would like to do. It was clear that the two new arrivals were a couple, they made a very good couple together, he could tell that though he had never really spoken to either of them before that he could recall.

It was hard for Sarah to just stand there and not gawk at the Manor. It was beautiful and just to elegant for her likings- For her home was better when it was messier and you can jump on the nearest couch and take a nap
