Alex nodded, getting a little scared by what he was saying. "Right, I'll cross beast division in the ministry off my possible careers for future list." She half joked.

talen finished off his own dinner finally and cleared the able of his dishes. After washing them he put them a way

"I probably still wouldn't work there, well at least in the centaur division, I'm sort of scared of them." Alex admitted to him.

James nodded, he understood though he wasnt frightened by them he was cautious, his years working in America had made sure of that.

Alex smiled at James when he nodded. She looked at the two brothers, Talen was like an older brother to her before school even ended, and now James was like an older brother to almost a father figure to her and she just met him. Family, this is what it was like to have one, and for the first time in three years she finally had one, even if it wasn't by blood. Alex suddenly let out a soft yawn, she didn't even realize how tired she was, but she didn't want the day to end, she was happy for once.

Alex's yawn Had a chain reaction first James,then Talen. the brothers laughed. talen walked over to te closetand pulled some freshblankets out for Alex. " You sure you don't mind sofa.?" He started to as but before he could finish james was charming slightly bigger so she could sleep comfortably, even if it was just the sofa.

Once everything was settled james and talen both told her good night. and headed to bed.

Talen walked into his room and had an idea. he pulled out a peice of parchment. and began a letter


he attached theletterto Fallon nd sent te bird on his way.

Alex thanksed Talen for giving her the blankets and noticed James was charming the sofa to be slightly bigger. "Thanks again you guys." She said as they left to their own rooms. She walked over to the sofa and prepared it for bed and layed down. She snuggled under the blankets and fell asleep with a smile playing on her face.

James was the first up, it ws stillpretty early he dressed headed to work carefulnot to wake anyone as he flooed tothe ministry.

Derek climbed out of bed and headed down stairs for Breakfast.
" Morning mum," he said with a yawn.
She smiled at her son. " Guess who sent an owl wanting you to go to Daring's Park.?"
" Ummmm." Derek shrugged.
" Talen, he wants you to go with him and a friend from school."
" TALEN! want's ME to go withihim and one of his friends to DARINGS PARK!!! That is Soooo cool when are we going, did he say? did you tell him I could go? PLLLLEEEEASE Mum! Please can I go?" he practically begged
" You have to hurry and finish your breakfast, they are leaving the cabin at 10:30."
" TODAY!?" he asked wide eyeed. she nodded. as he sat down quickly and ate his breakfast.

Talen woke up and dressed in his favorite khaki board shorts a blue t-shirt with the phrase ' I'd like to apologize in advance for my behavior tonight.' written in yellow. he quietly left his room and went into the kitchen he fixed himself some cereal and sat down to eat as Ae slept and he waitedon his Aunt to bring Derek by.

Alex was awake, she just didn't wasnt to open her eyes, afraid that the previous days events had been just a dream. After a while Alex slowly opened her eyes and found herself still in James' and Talen's house. Smiling, glad it wasn't a dream, she sat up and stretched. She heard a sound and looked over to the table and saw Talen eating cereal. "Morning." She said happily, getting off of the couch and folding her blanket.

" Mornin," He greeted her. then took another bite." sleep well.?" he asked.

Alex smiled as she layed the blanket on the sofa. "Like an angel, best sleep I had while not at Hogwarts. How about you?" She asked as she sat down at the table.

"Like a rock." talen said I didnt realize i was that tired. " want some fruit loops." he asked holding upte cereal box.

derek finshed his breakfast and hurried into his room. and dressed before he hurried back tote kitchen " Okay I'm ready can we go now." he asked
" alright" she took her son by the hand ans apparated from their kitchen just out side the front door of the house. derek reached for the door.
" Manners Derek ! knock first."
"sorry." he reached and knocked on the door.

Alex shook her head. "No thanks, I'm still full from supper last night." She said as she remembered how she had to force herself to eat the last few bites of the stew. She heard a knock on the door, and being nosey as she was, wondered who was there this early. "I'll get it, okay, you finish eating." She said as she got up from the table and looked out the window to see an older woman with a boy about her age. She opened the door and looked at them curiously. "Er, hi, can I help you?"

" uhhh,Mum.. whose she?." Derek asked looking upat his mother onfused they might have arrived at the wrong house but it did look like his cousins house to him.
" You must be the friend Talen mentioned in his owl, Is he here?
She smiled politely. at the girl.

Alex looked at the woman and the boy and nodded. "Yeah, he's finishing up his breakfast. I'm Alex by the way." She said smiling at the woman and her son. She stepped back so that they could enter the house.

" How do you know my cousin." He asked curiously.his mother nudged him "sorry."

" I'm Gwenivere Johansen, Talen's Aunt.but Gwen is fine." she said as they entered the house. " and this is my son Derek."

Talen grinned as his Aunt and Cousin entered. " Hey!"

Alex laughed as Derek asked her the question. "Nice to meet you. And I know Talen from Hogwarts, he's like the older brother I never had." She told Derek. "You're going to be a first year this year right? Talen told me about you."

" yeah i can't wait actually." derek said " what year are you ? he asked curiously

"I'll be going into my second year." She told him. "You're going to love it though, everyone is nice, at least once you get to know them." She laughed, remembering all the trouble she had gotten into at school.

Derek nodded as he listened to her. " you really think so.."

"Trust me, I know so." Alex laughed softly. "But I'm not sure if Talen would like me to tell you some of my adventures, he's worried I'm going to be a bad influence on you."

derek couldnt help but laugh as his mum talked quietly with Talen for a few minutes

Alex smiled at Derek, she could tell already she was going to like him. "So, what house are you planning on getting sorted into?"

Uh I'm not sure i mean i athnking the same as Ty and james but My unclews iin there too ..."derek whispered

Alex smiled at Derek, she remembered how nervous she was when she first got her letter. "It's alright, but let's just hope you get Slytherin, then you can see just how much I can have fun." She said in a whisper, though loud enough four Talen to hear but not Derek's mother.
