About this role-play;
In this thread, with the help of my twinnie (and friends) I will be exploring the past, present and maybe even future of my Diagon Alley character: Artemis Juilet Galanis. Most of the scenes we decide to play out are in some way an important and/or special event in Artie's life. We'll throw in random fun as well, whatever comes to mind really that we can venture further into by RPing it.

NOTE: If you have RP'd with Artie around when she owned QQS, be warned I HAVE changed her since then.

First Plot;
This little scene was actually started in Diagon Alley, Eeylop's. Due to busy schedules and lack of time, we're going to move it here so we can finish without worrying about the limited time span before the students go back to Hogwarts. Artemis is the shopkeeper assistant at Eeylop's Owl Emporium, and although mister Lysander 'Legend' Chosen has literally JUST met her, he trusts the young woman with a secret he hasn't told anyone and makes her promise not to tell, either. Uh-oh.

Entering the shop the 10 year old gave a sigh of relief. Finally he was alone. He was freeeeee of Katie. She would never come in here. Bring his hands to his ears because of all the noise in this place Legend had not thought a place like this would be that crowed. But what did he expect? The whole Diagon Alley was crowed. How was a first year suppose to do anything around here?

Gazing around the shop for the person in charge his eyes fell on a blonde lady. She seemed pretty busy. And her being busy was not good. He wouldn't get to talk to her. Maybe there was a man in charge?

Eyes landing on another lady Legend walked up to her slowly. "Hey you! Erm- I mean...excuse me miss, but do you know who's in charge?" His dad had told him to be polite. And he was kinda scared if he found out that he hadn't been. Plus it wasn't the lady's fault that his stupid family had stuck him with a girl.

Artemis' eyebrows rose, not sure if she was the one being addressed since 'Hey you!' wasn't really a greeting for one specific person, she turned around. Sure enough, it seemed the little boy was talking to her. And he corrected himself, now she was amused. Her smile hinted it, "I'm the assistant here at Eeylop's, and you can call me Artemis, or miss Galanis if you'd prefer that. Is there something I can help you with?"

Legend gazed up at the assistant lady. Artemis was her name right? It was weird, he was sure he hadn't heard a name like that before yet, this lady looked familiar. Like he had seen her before. Butt that was pretty much impossible right? He would have remembered her....maybe. "Well yeah..I'm here because my friend Katie doesn't like owls and so coming here is better than coming to the other pet shop place." He was sure that he was just babbling but it didn't matter. "Anyways do you know anything about other animals?

Artemis knew little kids were a curious, interesting bunch. It wasn't THAT long ago that she was one of them, but she didn't have a sibling to use as an example either. Apollo had always acted like a grumpy old prune. This little boy, though, was definitely an interesting one. Though he was staring at her rather oddly, as if maybe he was thinking of something. Little kids were known for easily getting distracted, right? "Hiding from a girl that's afraid of owls, in an owl shop." She sort of repeated, chuckling to herself. At his question, she nodded. "I do. Why do you ask?"

Legend eyed the lady. He wasn't quite sure if she could be trusted. He hadn't told ANYONE this. Not Mat or Katie or Cy. Or even Alexis. No one knew. Sooo how did he know this lady could be trusted?

Looking around to make sure no one was watching Legend lowered his voice. "It's a secret. You you gotta promise not to tell." Not waiting for her answer he continued. "I have a pet. A baby one. But it's not a usual pet right? It's a fox. I dunno what to feed it. And I don't want him to starve or get sick cause I gave him the wrong food." This lady better not tell anyone!

Who was Artemis going to tell? It wasn't as if she knew his parents, she didn't even know him. Such the silly little boy. Artie nodded carefully, agreeing that she wouldn't tell. He didn't give her much of a chance to do anything but that, because he continued to speak, spilling his secret to her. A complete stranger. Artemis' dark navy eyes widen, unable to compose herself quickly enough to contain her surprise.

A baby fox? Where did kids find those, these days? How in the wizarding world was he keeping it hidden?! When he was finished, she nodded once more. "I promise not to tell." Artie reassured him, speaking in a tone quiet enough to match his. She smiled, watching someone walk past, and then turned her attention back to the boy when she was sure they were out of hearing range. "I'm assuming it's a red fox?" the twenty-five year old asked, a look of uncertainty crossing her features. Becoming slightly concerned for this child's safety, and now uncomfortable knowing his secret. "You do know it might already be sick, kiddo? Animals in the wild, most carry diseases. How old is it, do you know?"

If it was a secret, Artemis doubted he had gotten the baby animal looked at by a professional. Not good, not good at all. She sighed, feeding him the information he so desperately needed to care for his pet. "Foxes are commonly carniv- errm, 'meat eaters'" Artie was quick to rephrase the word, reminding herself she was talking to a small boy. She mused, only for a moment. "They can eat insects, earthworms, small fish and reptiles.. mice, rabbits, birds and eggs. But they can eat fruit, too. Blackberries, apples, plums and other things as well." Artemis frowned now, having to add, "I really think you should tell your parents or an adult you trust. If the fox is sick, he can get you sick too..'"

Was it a red fox? Well he wasn't really red. More like orange. But was there something called Orange Fox? Legend didn't think so. Sooo he must have been a red fox right? "Yeah he's a red one. Erm well I guess."

Legends stared at her. SICK? Nooo!! He couldn't be sick!! He would die then!!"I don't want him to die." Legend muttered as he looked toward the ground trying to get rid of the tears in his eyes. It was bad enough that he wanted to cry but NOT in public.

Hmmm. Pluto eating meat wouldn't be good. Legend nodded making a mental note of all the things she said. Egg's and fruit? He could give him that!! And even worms!! "He's a month...I think, or around that. And I can't tell my dad! Or Ra-my mom. They think I'm not responsible enough to have a pet." He had forgotten for a moment that the lady wouldn't actually know who Rae was. Looking up at her again he realized something. He finally figured out who she looked like! "Hey!! You know what?! You look like my dad!"

Artemis nodded. She would take his word for it, since she hadn't seen the 'kit' herself. How easy would it be to confuse a different breed from the fox family with the red fox in particular? Her face fell, not expecting the little boy to take it that way; he had gotten attached to this animal, much too close.. "He might not," she replied hastily, resisting the urge to smack herself in the forehead with her palm. What was she doing?! THIS was why Artemis avoided social events, she wasn't a people person. In fact, people made her nervous.

But like any human being with a heart, Artemis couldn't not try to help this child out with his secret problem. Especially now that she had gotten in this far. A month old? The younger it was, the less time it could have been out in the wild or wherever the boy had found it. That was good, it was a lesser of chances he was sick. "I'm sorry to hear that." She murmured sincerely, when the boy confessed that his parent's couldn't know. Biting her lower lip in thought, she released a soft sigh. This kid sounded in over his head. "Is there anyone else you can trust to help you with the fox that won't tell your parents?" Please say yes, please say yes..

She what? The young woman stared down at the blonde haired child, a dark eyebrow arched. "It's not uncommon for people to have the same hair color or eye color," Artie stated, obviously. Funny how he would say she looked like his dad, when she had absolutely no idea if she looked like her own father! .. Artemis didn't have her mother's coloring, that's for sure.

He might not. The might part was what the 10 year old focused on. His pet was gonna die! Even the Artemis knew it. But he could NOT cry. No. He could not. He was too old to cry but...Pluto couldn't just go and die.

Legend thought for moment. Was there anyone he could tell? ...Not really. Alexis and Tyson could easily slip up and Miguel...well pssh he was Miguel!! That spoke for it's self. He doubted any adult from the Mae's would keep it from his parents either. "Well...not any adults." Carter, and Jae would keep it a secret maybe even Julian but...they were kids!

He shrugged. "I guess but....you just look like him." Legend found this weird. She was right about people having the same hair and eye color but he still never met someone who looked like someone else that much...unless they were related.

The boy didn't have any adults that he could trust enough with this secret; somehow this had just become a little bit more complicated than it was seconds before. Him telling his little friends wouldn't be a good idea, there was no way they could know anymore than this boy did. Now what? "Alright, uhm.." Trailing off in thought, Artemis shifted her weight from one foot to the other. Her arms crossed, comfortably over her middle. She had to think of something to help this kid, now that she knew as much as she did.

The young boy had shrugged, although she was right he still insisted that she looked like his father. For some reason, this made Artie feel weird. Maybe because he didn't sound very convinced that her reasoning of why he must think that was right. Or maybe because, in the back of her mind, there was that little bit of wonder. Knock it off She shook her head, dismissing the matter. "Uhm, what was your name?" Had he even told her? She didn't think so. "It's hard to tell whether an animal has rabies, and even more so because yours is a baby. There's a few things to look for, but there not definite. Does he drool alot, does he seem abit clumsy on his feet, does he refuse to drink water?"

Looking to his arms for a brief moment, Artemis went on, a trace of worry in her tone. "Another sure way to know, is if he's bitten or scratched you. Have you gotten any rashes lately?"

Legend watched the lady-erm Artemis as she shifted one foot to the other. Mimicking her with out really thinking about it he sighed. She didn't seem to know what to do. This was bad. He couldn't just put Pluto back in the wild! His family was gone. Dead. Legend was sure of it.

Still watching her the 10 year old was sure by now without a doubt that she reminded him of his father. Maybe even Tyson. Tyson had different color eyes but....they both had that same sort of....look. He didn't know how to describe it but she certainly had it. It would have been easier for the 10 year old to explain if he had looked even a tiny bit like his father. Unfortunately he did not. "Urm....everyone just calls me Legend. My last name's Chosen." He said slowly. Maybe she would notice his last name and realize that they were like distant cousins or something!

Legend made a face. What stupid questions! "He's not a dog miss he doesn't drool! And yeah of course he's clumsy he's a baby!! Annd he drinks water. Like every other living creature on this planet." Legend didn't think he was being too rude. And if he was it wasn't his fault. Those were stupid questions.

"No bites. No scratches and no rashes. But...he did lick me." Legend said slowly. If you got licked by a fox could you get rabies?!

A slightly funny, curious look appeared when she noticed Legend copy her movement, being washed away just as quickly reminding herself that he was indeed a little kid and that wasn't really unusual behavior for a kid. Her head bobbed slowly, forgetting the dark bangs would slide forward into her face. Attempting to blow them away, Artie swiftly brushed her hand across her forehead to move the stray strands back behind her ears. "Legend, that's a cool nickname. Unforgettable with your last name," She commented, absentmindedly. Chosen.. that was familiar somehow, but not enough for her to know why it was.

Clearly, Legend was either growing impatient or comfortable with her, because he was getting abit of an attitude. Artemis brushed this fact off, deciding to clarify on that point "I asked about the slobbering because as you said he's not a dog, if he were drooling it would be a sign towards him being sick." calmly. She continued, matter-of-factly. "I'm aware that he's a kit, which is why I'm going to rule that one out. And he doesn't fear water, that's another good thing."

"He licked you?" Artemis repeated, making it a question. She wasn't concerned about it, because the boy said he had no recent rashes. "You haven't been sick, right? No fevers? I haven't done any serious professional research within many creatures, magical or not, but being a Healer I'm rather confident that life is looking up for you and you're little pet, Legend."

Legend made a face. She hadn't recognized his last name. Which meant that she wasn't his third cousin twice removed. Or something like that. Orrr perhaps she was faking it? Yup Legend was sure of it. She was related to his dad somehow. Maybe.

Legend liked Artemis. He really did. She was calm. And there was just something about her that made him think that everything was gonna be okay. "That makes sense." He commented with a nod. Kit? Kit? What was a kit? Putting this word in the back of his mind so he could find out later he nodded again. Of course water was good!

"Yeah he licks me when he's happy. I think...It only happened once...but it was recently! And i guess he seemed happy?" Legend had no clue but he hoped Pluto was happy."I don't get sick." He said with a shrug.

Was she serious? Legend couldn't help but grin. Life was looking up! That meant Pluto was not sick and he could start feeding him all the things she had told him about instead of just apple pieces. "Thanks!!" Legend said happily. He was so happy that without even giving it a second thought he hugged Artemis tightly.

Artemis smiled, noticing the fondness this young boy had for his new pet; in the beginning he insisted the fox wasn't a dog, and now he was saying it licked him because he was happy, or so the child thought. Which dogs do, they lick when their happy. She decided against saying this outloud, and nodded unconvincingly when Legend said he didn't get sick. With him being so little in age, she wasn't surprised at this claim.

Feeling a sudden rush of relief as Legend grinned, Artemis opened her mouth to say something and closed it just as soon when he stepped forward and hugged her. Her expression shown with surprise, not that he would have noticed. It took a second for Artie to react, sort of hugging him back gently and patted his shoulder. "You're welcome."

Second Plot;
Little did Artemis know at the beginning of summer a small boy that wandered inside Eeylop's to escape a (girl) friend would share a secret with her, about a fox pup he had found and since had been taking care of secretly. Little did Artemis know at the beginning of summer that this same little boy would become quite fond of her, enough to visit regularly and talk to her about his wild pet, among other things. And little did Artemis know, venturing into the Leaky Cauldron would turn into yet another unexpected surprise.

Getting dragged around by his 10 year old son was something he had expected when he was told that he needed to follow him to Diagon Alley. What he didn't expect though was that they were going to visit EVERY single store in search for one person.

As they entered the Leaky Alphonse's hand fell upon the ten year old's shoulder. "This is the last store okay 'Sander?" Al said quietly to his son. He didn't want to be mean but...this was boring! And he could have been at home bothering- helping Tyson clean up.

Legend nodded at his dad's words, however he wasn't really listening. His green eyes gazed around the room in search for the one person he had come to Diagon Alley to see. He had to find her and he had to show his dad. They just had to meet. "She's in here...somewhere" He muttered absently mindedly.

Al just nodded. This was what Legend had said in every single shop that they had been in. It was hard to believe him now. Running his hand threw his dark hair he waited and hoped that Legend would find the person he had been looking for.

Now that summer was just about over and school would begin again on september, things in Diagon Alley were as busy as ever within the many stores. Students and their parents shopping for supplies at last minute. For the most part, the Leaky Cauldron was a little bit less crowded than it had been a month ago. Which was good. Very good.

Being on a break, Artemis had decided to stop by and get something to drink. Not at all expecting to run into anyone she knew, let alone the little boy she had met in the beginning of summer. She knew Legend fairly well, probably not like most of his friends and definitely not like his family but they weren't really strangers anymore. He came to visit her at Eeylop's, to talk and always keep her up to date with the happenings of his fox pup. And more recently, he had taken to calling her 'sis'. Artemis protested this, not finding it entirely appropriate - what would his parents say, to him calling a young woman he just met not even four months ago 'sis'. But the more she protested, the more he insisted.

"Hey Legend. Finishing up your school shopping?" She asked, approaching the blonde boy and upon noticing the man with him she offered a polite smile, shifting her gaze back to meet Legend's with a look of curiousity.

She had to be here. She had to be here. She had to be here. Legend didn't care what anyone said he had to find her. He didn't care if his dad was too busy to meet her. He was going to. His green eyes opened happily as he heard a female voice call his name. "ARTIE!!" he said happily as he ran toward her. He was just about to give her a hug when he stopped and realized that, that was SO not cool. "Nah not really I was just looking for you." He said as he crossed his arms trying to look cool.

Legend was determined just like him. So he KNEW that if he didn't find this person then he would just continue to look. Al was curious himself to why Legend wanted to make him meet this lady. Legend claimed that he didn't even like hanging around girls. But he didn't tell him WHY he had been hanging out with her and WHY he wanted him to met her. Al only had onee idea. It was a crush. It had to be.

Ahh!! Just when he was sure that the lady wasn't in the store she (or at least Al thought it was the same person) came and greeted his son. Smiling back at her he noticed that she looked familiar...he just couldn't figure out why.

Artemis smiled brightly, picking up on Legend's enthusiasm to seeing her here. The young woman, ever since childhood, had always been pretty good at noticing just about everything. She payed attention to details, her surroundings, the people around her.. and she listened, Artie hardly spoke compared to others back when she was a child. And even after that, but that was besides the point. The point was, she didn't fail to notice Legend's normal goofy behavior. "Oh, of course. Well, to what do I owe this pleasure?" She asked, in other words meaning to ask what was this visit about if not just a casual event. He had been looking for her, after all.

Dark navy eyes moved from the young boy's face, to look back to the older man. He was an adult, obviously, but older than her too. Not TOO much older, she didn't think, but.. well, Artemis hadn't really changed too much since her seventh year of wizarding school. It wouldn't be a first she was mistaken for a barely of age witch. Just like it wasn't a first when students in her classes swore she had to be some lost little kid in the wrong year or that she skipped a few years do to being more advanced than the others. The man, she noted after a puzzled moment of silence, must be Legend's father. Apparently she really did have similar features to him.. "Oh, sorry!" Artemis apologized, holding out her hand as she introduced herself "I'm Artemis Galanis. And you.. must be Legend's dad? He's told me about you, sort of." Artie stole a quick, uncertain, glance at the young boy.

Al's dark eyes widened, as his face slowly became unreadable. Galanis. He hadn't heard that name in so long. So very long. Al quickly shook the thought of of his head. He had not seen Thena in a long, long time. It had taken him ages to forget about her and going back to the past was not a good idea. Plus Galanis was a common name....wasn't it?

Al looked at the girls hand and gave it a small shake. "Nice to meet you Artemis! And yup I'm Legend dad, Alphonse." He answered with a fake smile. It wasn't that Al was not happy to meet her. It was just that...her last name had really shaken him up.

Legend grinned widely, not noticing his father's fake smile. AHA. They were already becoming friends. So now Artemis could join their family! "Well I wanted to see if you knew my dad! Remember? We're related. So you gotta know him. Think harder." Legend said HOPING that they would realize they did know each other.

What was up with Legend? Al had NO clue. His son was insane. It all made sense to him now. His son didn't have a crush. He just randomly wanted to add another person to their family. Great. "Sorry...Legend has a hyperactive imagination." He muttered shaking his head. Insane little boy. Before he could stop himself Al opened his mouth again."Im sorry but....doyouknowanyonenamedAthena?"

While she couldn't place her name on it, something didn't seem.. right? Not bad, necessarily. No danger, or tension. The young woman couldn't help but think something was ever so slightly off, though. She tried putting it out of her mind, smiling kindly to her little friend's father. "It's very nice to meet you too, Alphonse." Artemis hesitated right before, wondering if she should say Mr. Chosen or address him by his first name. Since he had given it to her, she went with the second.

Looking to Legend as he explained the reasoning if this visit, the smile that was once playing on her lips began to fade along with a sinking feeling inside her stomach. It wasn't her fault the young boy thought, or rather insisted that she was related to his family, yet she did feel guilty about it. He wanted it to be true so badly, she didn't want him to be upset over it. "Yes, I remember. Legend.." Artemis said slowly, placing a hand gently on his shoulder and shook her head. "I tried telling you before, I've never met your dad before.. we're not related. My mom's greek, my entire family is from Greece, kiddo."

"No, don't worry about it. I know," Artie assured Mr. Chosen, giving him a weak smile. By the look of it, he didn't seem entirely pleased by Legend's overactive imagination either, but for an entirely different reason than her. It didn't bother Artemis when Legend brought up things like this, it made her feel bad, because she didn't want to disappoint such an adorable little kid. Woooah, wait. Immediately, confusedly her gaze turned to hold Alphonse's. "Athena?" Through the rush of words, she had caught every bit of it. Slowly, she nodded. "Athena Galanis, my mother. Do you know her?"

Legend opened his mouth to protest to Artemis once again. It was like an on going game. She would insist that she was NOT apart of his family and he would insist that she was. Why ELSE would she look so similar to her dad or Tyson? He would have brought this up once again if he hadn't seen the look on her face. Unfortunately he had, and for some reason that one look made his hopes plummet into the ground.

Pushing her hand off his shoulder, Legend looked away from her. "Whatever." The ten year old muttered as he began to walk somewhere else in the Leaky, somewhere far away from Artemis.

Alphonse blinked strangely, she knew? He wondered how long Legend had known Artemis for. He thought that at ten years old Legend would know well enough not to talk to strangers. Sure Artemis seemed fine but what if he had met someone that wasn't. "Do I mind if I ask how you guys know each other?" Al asked slowly.

"Athena Galanis, my mother." Al's eyes widened. The shock on his was was clearly obvious. He didn't even take in his annoyed son walking off. Athena was her mother. Wait....Athena had a daughter!! Of course it made sense that she would grow up and start a family of her own but, the thought still...hurt? "I...um..." Did he know her? Well yeah DUH. But a long long time ago. A very long time ago. He had not seen Athena since he was Alexis's age. "We um...." We dated? No. WHY would he tell her daughter that. She wouldn't want to hear that. "We went to school together. We....were really close."

As she feared, Legend was upset. Artemis knew that was to come if it ever sunk in; what she was trying to get through his thick skull under that mess of short blonde - usually spiked, - locks. Of course she knew he would be upset, he was so little and determined to prove the strange false hope true, but she didn't expect to feel this way. Yes, she felt bad for the odd young boy. But it went deeper than that; Artemis, without realizing it, had become quite fond of him too. She wasn't the most social, and rarely made an effort outside of work, but this kid. . . Legend, he was easily the brother she had wished for as a child. Her heart fell, watching disappointment wash over his youthful features; something she never really saw before with him. "Legend. . " She mumbled helplessly, letting the name trail off and die. Artemis' dark, navy blue eyes flickered back to the boy's father standing infront of her.

"Not at all," Artemis replied quickly, almost startled. Alphonse had every right to know any questions he had for her that involved his child; what surprised her was that he didn't already know the answer. Minus the wild pet fox detail, she would have thought Legend told his father about her. Especially after dragging him here, to meet her. "I'm the assistant at Eeylop's," She began to explain, "Legend came in around the beginning of summer to escape one of his girl friends? He stayed a little while and asked random questions about the owls." there was no hint of her being dishonest, and technically it was only a tiny little white lie. She promised not to tell anyone about the boy's pet fox, and as long as it wasn't harmful somehow it wasn't Artemis' place to tell Alphonse.

"I'm sorry, I thought you knew he had been coming to Eeylop's." Artemis admitted, a bit flushed in the face. It wasn't her fault he hadn't known that, but she didn't like thinking he may not be comfortable knowing that. Though, it was entirely understandable. She was an adult, a stranger, that his son had gone to see while she worked around the Owl Emporium. "If it helps any he didn't go about blabbing personal stuff," except that apparently I look an awful lot like this man. "and I know one of his friends; Matias Sulo? His mother and my own are quite close." Artie added, in hope of that being of some help in making her seem less of a worry. In her mind, she knew if the role was reversed and this was her mother talking to some strange adult that she had attached herself to as a little girl . . . well, there was a reason that never happened.

Her brow pursed, a look of slight confusion passing by, brought on by his reaction. Whatever she said seemed to throw him through a loop, but she couldn't understand why. Obviously, before he even had the chance to piece together a sentance, she knew this much: He knew her mum. But that still didn't make sense as to his initial response. He almost seemed.. dare she think it, nervous? Odd. Maybe that's where Legend got it from. "Oh." Her gaze fell to the floor, dropping with her tone and fading murmur. He knew her mum from school, from her past. The past her mum had been set on keeping her out of for the most part for the past twenty years; at the age of five, that's when curiousity had kicked in and she started wanting to know what was being hidden from her.

"You were close?" She repeated. It was a soft question, with childlike innocence mixed together inquiringly. Artemis didn't know how much he knew, or whether he would be willing to tell her anything, but not asking wasn't an option. There was things she needed to know, and after years of trying so hard to find out, . . . maybe her answers laid with him. "You and Athena - my mum, you were really close, you said?" Artie asked, tilting her head ever so slightly, allowing a few stray dark strands to fall in that same direction, away from her thoughtful eyes. "Perhaps you also knew my father, then?" It slipped out, she honestly couldn't help the words from falling from her lips. Artemis ignored the harsh feeling swirling inside her stomach; it was not butterflies, that was for sure. It was more of a pang, like grief and determination, a need to know all put together, but not quite. There was something else too, and although she couldn't describe it Artie knew the feeling well. "I'm sorry," She apologized for the second time, a faint smile pulling at the corners of her mouth. "I don't mean to pry. Ath- my parents don't talk about their school days,"

Across the room Legend rested his head on a table and closed his eyes. He wanted to go home. As soon as his dad was done talking to her he wanted to go home. He did not want to come back here until probably next year when he would have to buy his school supplies for second year. Other than that he was going to say away. He was never coming back here again.

"I want to go home." He murmured against the table.

Al nodded as Artemis began to explain herself. What she said made sense. Leave it up to Legend to try to run away from Katie (of course he was just assuming it was Katie, since she was probably one of the couple of girls he hung out with) and leave her in distress.

Owls? Ahhh, yup.This story was making more and more sense. Legend always said he wanted a pet but, the ten year old was WAY too irresponsible. "Sorry?" Al said with a confused look. "No. No don't be sorry! It's completely fine! I mean you being able to spend an hour with Legend is proof enough that your a good person." Alphonse had a theory. If anyone tried to kidnap Legend they would fail. Because they kid would annoy them sooo much that they would just return him. "Mat's mom? Well...that makes sense, her and um-your mom were close too." He said with a nod.

Al bit his lip. Did he know her father? Perhaps. He probably did if it was someone that he went to school with but, he really didn't want to think about who Athena ended up marrying. "I guess...but, I haven't spoke to your mom since we were about...17 so I don't really know if I would have meet your dad..." Al muttered slowly. "Don't worry no need to apologize." Al said with a faint grin. "Umm what's your father's name?

Artemis felt a weird mixture of relief and confusion when Mr. Chosen told her not to be sorry; he seemed to trust her, as much as a parent could a stranger around their preteen child. The puzzlement came in with the whole 'being able to spend an hour around Legend is proof enough' thing, she couldn't understand why that would be a problem. The boy didn't smell unusually bad, he didn't have a third eyeball or four arms, and he didn't try destroying everything within his path like a wannabe tasmanian devil. But thinking better of it, she let that drop.

It didn't come as any surprise that he knew Mia, too. Legend and Mat were good friends from what she heard. And it also made sense that he knew her mother and Mia were close back then; she didn't know how far their friendship had come, but it was way back there. She remembered Mia when she was only a little girl, and now here she stood at twenty-five-years-old. Talking to a stranger. The father of the boy that had become her little pal. "Oh." She couldn't help it, the word flowed numbly from between her slightly gaped lips again. It was the only thing she could think of to say, still trying to collect her thoughts. Never had Artemis expected, or thought it possible, that she would run into someone who knew her mother that she hadn't known her entire life.

If there was one thing her cousin, Demetria, had tried making her believe was in fate. That everything happened, and played out a certain way for a reason. Artemis never really had, though on several occasions she had told agreed just to get Tria to drop it. If she was destined to grow up without ever hearing from or knowing anything about her real father, then fate was cruel. Why should she believe in it? For a moment Artemis gazed around the crowded pub, taking in details of people and objects here and there until navy blue eyes found their way back to equally blue orbs. "I think you would have," She murmured, thoughtfully. Artemis failed to add that she was a grown adult, despite the fact she didn't look much older than a newly of age witch. Truth was, she hadn't changed much since then either.

"I. . I. . uhm," Artie stuttered, her face dropping as she bowed her head, her feet shuffled nerviously. She hadn't thought of what came after her question, what was she expecting him to say 'oh yeah your dad - blah blah blah'? Of course not! Straightening up, Artemis could feel her cheeks warm, flushed from embarassment that rarely occurred, she looked around for Legend and spotted the blonde spiked hair; the boy was leaning against the table with his head down. She frowned more, if that was possible, and turned back to Al. Artie shrugged, "I wish I knew."

It was a rare occasion Athena came to England, let alone London's very own Diagon Alley. Every now and then it became necessary, though she saw both her daughter and best friend, Amelia, quite often as it was. It was nice to see them at work, and come to them rather than the other way around.

The blue moon must be around the corner, because in through the Leaky Cauldron door walked Mrs. Athena Deville, planning to surprise Artemis with a random visit. Her curls stirred around her face, blown by the closing door. She looked around, swiftly making her way through in search of the twenty-five-year-old young woman. "Artie!" Athena called, sure she had just seen her daughter when someone walked past, causing her to lose sight once more. "Artemis Galanis." Shouted the greek woman, wanting to be heard over the sounds of the Pub.
