Tommy didn't know who to follow she was so confused.

James led everyone into the anything room. "So, what do you guys want to do?" he asked.

Jack closed the door behind him after Wensday and her brothers came in. He also had purple eyes. "Guys, I'm Jack, James' twin, but pretend I'm James, for the guard is looking for me" he said in a whisper, as he opened a trap door.

Not many thoughts were blooming in Claxtys stupid head. Any second now...any second...

Excelsior wasn't sure what he wanted to do, and he didn't want to make a big fuss. He simply looked around the group and asked, "What would you guys like to do? Any ideas?" He was very much open to going along with the group at this point in time.

Tommy didn't really have any idea of what to do. She only knew three people there. "I mean it would be nice if everyone knew everyone here. Lets introduce ourselves." She didn't know how the other Slytherins would like that idea, they usually didn't like talking to other people.

"Sure" James said agreeing. "Obviously, I'm James, and Wednesday should be here soon" he said, looking at his watch. "And this is my homely home" he now said, mouth twitching. He hadn't told a bigger lie before.

"I'm Excelsior Black," Excelsior said. "Even though I'm a Slytherin, I'm sure that many of you don't know me all that well because-" he hesitated for a moment- "I had the misfortune to be one of the students who was turned into an animal this last term. I'm sure you have all heard something about that. I spent most of my third year at Hogwarts inside the mind and body of a red fox." That was quite a lovely speech, Excelsior thought.

Tommy looked at Excelsior, his hair still have a red tinge to it. She didn't know what he must have went through being a strange animal for a year.

"I'm Tomasina Riddle, from Slytherin House. I came to Hogwarts from Accra Academy in Ghana." she told everyone eyeing Excelsior, he made her a little uneasy.

Excelsior looked at Tomasina, sensing her nervousness. He wanted to make her feel at ease, if possible. "I have heard of Accra Academy," he said. "It has a reputation for excellence that is unequalled. It must have been quite exciting going there, and much different from Hogwarts."

She looked over at him, he was trying to be nice and she appreciated that fact. "Yes Hogwarts is very different, its cold for one thing." she said smiling at him as a silent thank you.

"It is cold at Hogwarts," Excelsior agreed. "It must be particularly difficult for someone coming from a warm climate. He thought to himself how hard that must be, going from a nice warm, sunny place to an environment as cold and sometimes very wet place like Hogwarts.

"Well it is difficult, but I am liking the frozen lake and the snow." she admitted. "I just hate what is doing to my skin," she told him rubbing her hand up and down her arm.

"It can be a little harsh, a bit drying," Excelsior said, startled by Tommy's comment at first. She had clear, beautiful skin.

Excelsior looked around the room. The room itself, as well as the entire house for that matter, was very unusual. It seemed as though this room was much like the Room of Requirement at Hogwarts, at least that was the impression he was getting. "James, can you really make this room serve whatever purpose you want?", he asked curiously.

Tommy looked down at her skin, it wasn't as brown as it used to be. She noticed Excelsior's eyes lingered on her arm and she smiled. At least one guy noticed that she was a girl.

She did finally looked around the room and it was a queer room. She wondered if it did work like the room of requirement also. "That would be really nice if it did, we could have alot of fun in here."

James questioned himself. Sort of... "Well, sort of. I'm pretty sure Hogwarts is the only place that has a room of requirement, but I've been thinking that maybe the room in Hogwarts connects to other rooms that do similar things. I think that is the case. In all, this room can be used for anything for harm, and when someone gets hurt, well, everything freezes and...I don't know, I can't remember. Also, it only goes to a certain space limit....about...um...generally...the hight of a quidditch field and if you pull out the corners of it to make it a rectangle, thats the width" he said finishing his 'speech' and looking around. The room was generally used for sports, so sports stuff was thrown around a turfed field.

Emily smirked at James and the sudden colour in his cheeks. The poor boy and his fixation with Ellie was pretty amusing to Ems.


She smiled. “I made him a honorary Slytherin last year. He seems to want to live up to the title. But he’s a little too… eccentric to be a true Slythie.” Ravenclaw had the oddest kids with James quite possibly being the oddest of them all.


Ems knew everyone by name there but didn’t know much about any of them. She giggled as Excelsior said he had had the mind and body of a red fox – it sounded funny to her. “You don’t still have any of the characteristics do you?” she asked with interest. “No knocking over bins and hunting for scraps to eat?” she raised an eyebrow. Just eew!

“Ok. I’m Emily Greenwood. Or Everyone just calls me Ems.” She told the group. “I’m a second year Slytherin. I’m from Scotland but my family recently moved to Cornwall.” she explained.


She looked back at James with a bewildered expression. She was utterly confused by everything that was going on that she just stayed silent for now.

"That is totally amazing," said Excelsior, looking around the room again. "Just think of it, we could actually play quidditch in here, in this very room. Well, is anyone game for that?" Excelsior had played as a beater on the Slytherin quidditch team the term before, and he was pretty sure nearly everyone here had played before. "That is, if you guys want to."

Excelsior smirked at Emily's comment. "Eeeh, such a disgusting creature, is the fox," he said. "I had always had an admiration for them thinking how beautiful they are and with such a reputation for cleverness, that is until I experienced what it was like from the inside. Let's just say that it was quite an unforgettable experience which, hopefully, will never be repeated again. I think it would be different if one were an animagus, then you would have control, still be yourself and not actually be the animal. Well, not really. But, I'm sure we have far more exciting topics to discuss here than this." Excelsior would probably never be comfortable talking about that fiasco. He vowed revenge on the people who had done it to him and the other eleven students.

Excelsior saw Tommy smile. She had a really beautiful smile. She's a very charming girl, he thought to himself. I'm sure she has many secrets.

"Now that is a good idea, a rousing game of Quidditch." she said, "I played chaser back at home," she told everyone.

She listened to Excelsior talk about foxes, she had never seen one in person, they weren't native to Africa, but she had seen one in a box before. She would never wish such a fate on someone, taken away the thing that makes them human. That just wasn't right.

She noticed Excelsior looking at her and it made her blush. She cleared her throat and looked away from him.

James blinked. "Quidditch? Um...sure...teams?" he asked. He almost scowled at Emily. Growl.

OCC: Um...how are we going to play?

Ems giggled at Excelsior’s words. “Could you not remember anything at all about being human?” she asked with growing interest. “You’re right. It must be fun being an animagus. You are completely in control of your behaviour.” She realised that this Excelsior seemed a little uncomfortable taking about the subject and promptly shut up. “Sorry… not meaning to pry.” She said.

She gulped at the mention of quidditch. Ems was terrified of flying and there was no way in hell she was going to attempt to play. Ellie was yet to give her the flying lessons she had promised at the beginning of term. “I think I’ll just watch.” She said, trying to hide the fear in he voice.

She saw James looking at her oddly and gave him a innocent smile in return.

"Quidditch is fun, " she told Emily. "don't you know how to fly?" she said noting the fear in her voice.

“It’s a sport I would much rather spectate than participate in.” Ems replied. “No.” she admitted and felt her face flush with embarrassment . “I have a real fear of flying.” Hell would freeze over before Ems got on a broom. Ellie's lessons were just never going to happen... thank merlin.

Tommy blinked at her for a few minutes, she loved to fly. It was better than breathing to Tommy, she knew how to fly before she was crawling. She did know people that were afraid of flying.

"Well there is nothing wrong with a fear of flying, a shame really. It is fine though." she told her. When she had first met Emily she thought she was as tough as nail and as hard as ice, it was nice to learn that she was vulnerable and had a soft spot in the amour somewhere.

Excelsior had seen people who had a fear of flying before, he had dealt with it and appreciated that the prospect of going up in the air on a broomstick was simply terrifying for some. "It's okay, Emily, I understand," he said. "My first girlfriend was also afraid of flying, and I know that many people are. You should only try it if you're completely comfortable with it. No one should force you into doing anything."

"Yeah we could always use a cheerleader." she told Emily smiling at her.

"Have you ever been on a carpet?" Africans used carpets more often than brooms. She really wanted to be good friends with her after all her sister Egypt was dating her brother Nathan, she wondered if Emily knew that. Well this was hardly the time to reveal something like that. Egypt had only just told her a few days ago.

Emily nodded but she could tell Tommy didn’t really understand. Ellie never got it either. But then again, Ems never understood Ellie’s irrational fear of the library. Ems would much rather have her nose stuck in a book than deliberately go out risk breaking her neck.
