He laughed, “What’s more fun that that, eh? But Paris looks a lot cuter rolling around and drooling than I do.”

He could see her trying to repress a smile and he knew why. She knew that he hated crumbs in the bed. But for once, he was willing to make an exception. “No problem.” Really… ish.

“No I don’t even own any robes.” He told her. “Haven’t bothered with them since I left home. But your sister’s design sounds nice.” Very bright for Nathan, but this was Egypt’s day and he wanted to try and make a good impression with her family. Besides, Nathan would do anything Egypt asked him to… within reason.

“Half the world and me eh? Well they had better keep their mitts off.” He chuckled. “Or they’ll have Lord Greenwood to deal with.”

She snuggled in closer and he squeezed her tighter. “I love you too.” He whispered in return. He loved hearing those words from Egypt. He returned her soft kiss. “I will.” He replied. “Don’t you be hogging my side of the bed in my absence.” He teased her. He watched her go before sitting back down and finishing off his toast and marmite.

When he had finished he waved his wand and the dishes made their way over to the sink and started to clean themselves. He looked in the fridge to check they had eggs before making his way upstairs to Paris’ room. The little blossom was still fast asleep. Tommy must have tired her out last night – she loved her Auntie Tommy and no doubt she fought sleep very hard while Tommy was around. He pulled her blankets over her and bent down to kiss her little cheek. He watched her sleep for a while, listening to her soft breathing – he thought he wasn't capable of loving anyone as much as Egypt. He didn’t think his heart had any room in it for someone else, but Paris had unlocked another part of his heart he didn't know existed. People always said your love for your child was like nothing else and he never understood what they meant, until now. Nathan would do absolutely anything for his family.

He quietly left the room and padded down the stairs into the second lounge and closed the door behind him. His brand spanking new grand piano stood proudly in the centre of the room. Nathan still hadn’t had a chance to play it properly – just to tinker on the keys and listen to the perfect rich deep sound which resonated from within and filled the room. His old rickety vertical piano had been chopped up and placed on the scrap heap. This was the only luxury Nathan had allowed himself with Egypt’s money… and he felt guilty for it. And he also knew this was very silly. It was like pennies to Egypt – but that wasn’t the point. Nathan hadn’t owned anything quite so extravagant since leaving home almost five years ago.

He slid the stool out from under and sat down. He opened the lid slowly and looked at the keys. He ran his hand up and down the surface of them without pushing them down. He played a chord – the keys were weighted perfectly. He cracked his knuckles and started to play I Giorni by Ludovico Einaudi. He was a little rusty at first – he hadn’t played in months (he wasn’t all that keen on playing in front of anyone, but right now, he had almost the entire house to himself - that had to be a first). He loosened up the more he played. But he kept it quiet so as not to disturb the three girls upstairs.

"That she does," She told him with a smile. "Ok, I will try not to get any crumbs in the bed." Yeah right that was going to work. Her and toast was a mess waiting to happen. She got crumbs everywhere, she didn't know how she did it. Paris couldn't make a bigger mess than she did with toast. But she loved it. Nathan wasn't keen on the sweets so she tried to keep them out of the house.She did sneak in a danish or two here and there. So her second love was toast.

"Don't worry your mitts are the only ones I want touching me." She told him with a smile and a wink. "But you would make a very formidable foe nonetheless." She told him.

"I won't hog anything." she said in mock protest. "They'll be plenty room for you." She headed upstairs and went to check in on Paris. She was still asleep, she ran her in finger down her cheek. She wiggled a little bit and Egypt pulled her hand back, she thought she had woke her up and that would crash her and Nathan's nap time today. Where they finally through the days of the 4 am wake up calls? She hoped so, she gave her a lite kiss on the forehead and a quick smooth down of her hair before she tip toed out of the room and went back to her bedroom.

She climbed into the bed and pulled the blankets up around herself and lay there for a few minutes. She was more nervous than she let on to Nathan. If he knew how nervous she was he would have a panic attack. He was meeting her family for the first time and she wanted everything to go perfect. Her sister Asia could be worse than their mother when something wasn't going the way she felt it should go. She was too tired to think about it anymore and she started to drift off to sleep. She rolled over and was soon off in lala land.

Nathan was aware that time was ticking by. He wanted to have a kip before everyone started arriving. He forced himself to stop playing – it was a struggle. Once he got going on the piano, he lost himself in his own little world - he found it hard to draw himself away from it and back into reality. He closed the lid and made his way out of the room. Tweet had made the house absolutely perfect for the guests – not a thing was out of place ...but that would soon change when Paris was up and about.

He went quietly back upstairs and climbed into bed beside Egypt - there was plenty of room. He was feeling really sleepy – he snuggled up to her and put his arm around her before drifting off into a light sleep.

Egypt had been sleeping soundly. She turned over and heard a soft melody in her sleep. It was a beautiful song. She felt it in her bones. Her face relaxed into a smile and she sank deeper into her pillow.

She felt Nathan ease into the bed and put his arm around her, she snuggled closer to him and drifted back off to sleep.

India was so excited about the trust signing tonight. She knew her parents and her grandparents were going to make the grand entrance, but she was Egypt's sister. She didn't have to wait to for them. She hadn't seen Egypt since that day in the park when her and Tommy and Egypt had been laughing at Egypt for blushing when Nathan smiled at her. She had no idea that they would fall in love and get married. She had just had her own wedding and she was so happy for her younger sister. "Come on hurry up." She said looking back at her twin sisters.

"Alright already, calm down." Ireland said with some attitude. India had already rushed them when they were dressing. "We are coming." Ireland and Irish talked about themselves in the plural form. No on understood why, they just did. And since the dressed alike it was hard to tell them apart.

"There is no need to rush us." Irish said pulling up the rear and looking up at her younger sister with a ugly look on her face. She acted more like a big sister than a younger sister.

They all looked around the street to see if any muggles were looking when they were sure the coast we clear the clasped their hands together and turned on the spot. With a tiny pop the three Riddles sisters were in the front hallway. It was still and quiet. They didn't even hear the baby making a noise.

Irish and Ireland had evil smiles on their faces. "Lets go crash the party." They said in unison both making a man dash for the stairs and racing up them two at a time.

India took off after her sister and they all ran upstairs down to Egypt's bedroom.

They all opened the door together and found Egypt and Nathan curled up on the bed and snuggling.

"Never thought we would see the Ice Queen with a man." Ireland said with a smile. "Should we wake them both of just Egypt?" She asked turning to her twin. They both tended to interact with each other more than their sisters.

Oh no, she groaned and opened her eyes. It was her sisters! She threw her covers back and jumped out of the bed screaming. She grabbed them and they all jumped around the room, she forgot that Nathan was sleeping. She hadn't seen India in almost a year and she hadn't seen Ireland and Irish in almost two years. She missed her sisters more than she thought she did. "Why are you guys here so early?" She asked pulling on her robe. She saw Nathan pull a face in his sleep, "Lets go downstairs." She told them. They all walked out and headed downstairs.

She stopped off at Tomasina's room to wake her up for her sisters. She gave her a little shove, "Get up, India and the twins are here." Tommy raised up a sleepy head and blinked a few times. Her head dropped back down on the pillow. "Get Up." Egypt said one more time before leaving.

Tommy was tired. Paris kept her up till 2 am screaming and then she banged Tommy's wand on the carpet and that was just the beginning of her crazy night. After she put out the fire that Paris caused, Paris thought it was a good idea to pour her bottle all over Goliath. Well that little owl did not like that. It took her an hour to calm down that little teetering silly bird. She threw a shoe at the door before she rolled back over to get a few more minutes of sleep.

Nathan was vaguely aware of noise in the bedroom but he could merrily sleep through the end of the world and not even stir in his sleep. He did attempt to wake himself up when he thought he heard screaming but his eyelids seemed to have glued themselves shut – they refused to budge and he wasn’t going to battle with them. He merely groaned and rolled over to the now empty side of the bed and drifted back into dreamland.

They were all downstairs laughing and joking and catching up with one another. Egypt had missed her sisters so much, more than she thought she had.

"And the first day we met he took me to the Ministry in their red box thingy. And when he stepped into the box, he looked at me and I fell in love with him." She said talking to her sister.

"Oh no not the beginning of the great love affair." Tommy said rolling her eyes and coming into the kitchen, he hair was in a terrible state. There was dried milk and owl treats stuck all over the place. She ran over to India and the twins giving them tough hugs. "Do we really have to hear this story again?" She asked wanting to tease Egypt today.

"Yes we do." She said with a smile on her face.

Nathan blinked his eyes open to find he had rolled over to Egypt’s empty side of the bed. He pulled at face and moaned in disapointment – he had promised to make her lunch in bed, but she had beaten him out of bed - she was never usually up before him – it was bloody typical.

He got out of bed and went into the bathroom to get himself ready for meeting the inlaws. He shaved his face with a cut throat razor – it was time consuming but it always gave a really good shave, and today was a very special day indeed. He felt his face – ‘smooth as a baby’s bottom.’ He thought as he admired at his reflection. He brushed his hair, which was starting to get a bit too long for his liking so he tidied it up a bit of magic… but just a little. He pulled on a pair of ripped, faded skinny jeans and a stripy t-shirt – he would get changed for the ceremony later on. May as well be comfortable until then.

His slow start was abruptly interrupted as he heard screaming coming from Paris’ bedroom. He groaned, took a deep breath and looked skyward before heading into her room. He picked up the screaming bundle and hugged her close to him. “Oh, oh, oh.” He whispered softly. “What’s the matter with my wee love?” She calmed down in his arms - Nathan was rather impressed by this – he was obviously getting better at this baby stuff. She was only after a bit of attention from her daddy... or just anyone. He left the room oblivious to the baby vomit now all the way down his back.

“Shall we go and find mummy?” he asked her and pressed her nose with his finger. “Beep beep.” He said stupidly. She giggled and he did it again – she giggled again and he laughed. “C’mon then blossom.” He made his way down the stairs but paused in the hallway. He could hear Egypt and Tommy chatting… but there were other voices too. Egypt’s relatives were here already? Oh Merlin!

He had a little panic attack then and there in the hallway. He was seriously contemplating running back upstairs, climbing into bed and pretending he was asleep when Paris decided to give them away by letting out a eardrum shattering, yet happy, scream. “Oh, well done you.” He whispered to the little girl but couldn’t help smiling at her. ‘Here goes then.’ He thought. He took another deep breath and made his way into kitchen where they were all congregated. But it wasn't all of them, there was only Egypt, Tommy and three other woman. "Hello ladies." he said with a charming smile.

Egypt was in the middle of telling them about their wild night before whens he heard Paris scream. She sounded like she was on the stairs she got up get her when Nathan walked into the kitchen holding her. They all stopped laughing at once.

Tommy got up and took Paris from Nathan so he would have a proper introduction with all the sisters. "You can play with daddy later." She told the girl as she squirmed to reach out for Nathan. "I'll go change her and get her cleaned up." She told everyone. Paris has dried puke on her face and she went upstairs to let her sisters get better acquainted with Nathan

Egypt walked over and took hold of Nathan's hand and looked at her sisters. "Nathan these are my older sisters. India, and the twins Irish and Ireland. Ladies this is Nathanial Greenwood." She was beaming at them.

They all stopped giggling at once when he came around the corner. The twins mouths hung open. They closed them at once.

"We are so happy to meet you." Ireland said once Egypt introduced them. "We've been looking forward to this."

"You are a lot cuter than Australia lead us to believe." Irish said right behind her twin.

"Stop it you two, leave the poor man be." India said with a laugh. "I'm not sure if you remember me, but I am the reason you two met each other." India told him. "Egypt didn't have the guts to say anything to you, but I made her run you down and speak to you. She was blushing like an idiot." India said, she knew she was embarrassing Egypt but that was her baby sister, she could do that.

"Enough of that. Are you nervous about tonight?" The twins asked in unison. To this day no one knew how they did that. It was like the rehearsed everything so they could say it at the same time.

Nathan was so tense he didn’t even notice Tommy taking Paris from him, nor the dried puke on her face. He was thankful when Egypt took his hand – he pulled her closer to his side, her support was really appreciated right now. Just having her next to him was a reassurance. He extended his free hand to each of the women in welcoming. He would have hugged them, but wasn't sure if that would be appropriate on first meeting. “Nice to meet you all at last.” He said with a smile. “Egypt talks about you all the time. It’s nice to finally put faces to the names.”

He saw the twins mouths fall open and wondered if he had something on his face. Had he cut himself shaving? He had been so careful and checked himself over before he left the bathroom - He looked at Egypt for assurance and then back at the twins. He smiled at Ireland, “Yes, me too.” Not – he had been panicking for months about meeting Egypt’s family – but more her parents, or mother even, than her sisters. He chuckled at Irish’s comment and ruffled his hair nervously. “Thanks… I guess.” He was thankful when India stepped in and stopped the twins teasing.

“Oh, in the park, of course!” Nathan said brightly. “And Tommy was there too wasn’t she?” It was all coming back to him now – his attention had been almost completely focused Egypt that day, he had taken very little else in. “So it’s you I have to thank for bringing us together then.” He grinned, starting to relax a little. “So… thank you, India.” He winked at her.

He looked back over at the twins – everyone was talking at once and he didn’t quite know where to look. “Absolutely terrified.” He said honestly in reply to their question. “But once the ceremony’s gets going I’m sure I’ll be fine.” He told the twins.

Egypt looked at her sister's reaction. Please don't embarrass me, she was silently begging them. The twins were brutally honest, more so than Tomasina was, and she didn't want them to say or do anything that would hurt Nathan's feelings.

"Yes my sister thinks it was all her doing that got us together." Egypt said with a laugh. India loved to have her hands into everything and Egypt was sure she had told the entire family that their wedding was her sole doing. "Like I had nothing to do with it." She rather thought she did the most important part by being herself and stealing his heart, she smiled at the fond memory of their first meeting.

She leaned over and whispered to Nathan. "The family calls Tommy by her middle name Australia." She squeezed his hand softly, he was tensing up again. "You two leave him alone." She told the twins, they would tease him till he caved or started teasing back.

She was nervous about the ceremony too, she hadn't seen her mother since she left home. She didn't know how her mother was going to treat her, or worse how she was going to treat Nathan and Paris. She hadn't sent anything for the baby or even a congratulation or anything.

“Oh, I see.” Nathan smiled sheepishly as Egypt explained that this Australia was, in fact, Tommy.

“How are you finding England then, India?” he asked her. He remembered Egypt saying that she was struggling with fitting in among muggles, but that was months ago. Things can change.

He was thankful for Egypt’s soft hand squeezing. He really needed to relax a little more. He didn’t know why he was so nervous - Nathan was usually good with people, but for some reason, the mere mention of meeting Egypt’s family over the past few months had put the very fear of God in him. He supposed that he had never been serious about anyone in quite the same way as he was with Egypt - not even his previous fiancé, Claire. He squeezed her hand back to silently let her know he appreciated the gesture and her support.

"Yeah." Egypt told him, Tomasina went by her middle name just to spite her family. But the family still called her Australia. She smiled at him, so she wanted him to like her sisters. They were so close to each other that it would strain the relationship if he couldn't get along with them.

She felt his hand squeeze and she returned it. Just relax. She wanted to tell him, it was going to be alright. Her sisters teased and joked around, but they were good people regardless.

"We um are going to have the wedding in Scotland." She told her sisters. Now was as good of a time as any to tell them that. She looked around at their faces and gave them all bright smiles. "That is where Nathan's family is from and it would mean so much to them to have the wedding there."

"Oh England takes some getting used to." India admitted to Nathan while looking him up and down properly. She was surprised that Egypt had taken to liking English boys. Nathan had a little peaky look about him, and his hair. But she had to admit he was still a very gorgeous man, and his green eyes were mesmerizing. "It has taken me and Taj a lot of getting used to. I have gotten on the tubey thing and not gotten lost for about a week now."

"And it only took her five minutes to mention her husband." The twins said, and all the girls burst into laughter.

"I love my husband and I love talking about him. So what?" She said defensively with her cheeks flushed.

They all looked over at Egypt when she announced that the wedding wouldn't be in Accra. All of the Riddle's wedding had been in the capital city. "Have you told mother about this?" Ireland asked. The twins didn't care Scotland would just be the place where they found some new men to spend time with. Their mother on the other hand might not be so forgiving. Egypt had already had a baby without being married and their mother was pretty mad and humiliated over that. They didn't know how she would take the wedding not even being held in Africa. At least she said Scotland and not England.

"Well I think that is nice Egypt." India told everyone.

Nathan smiled, “I’ve lived here all my life and there’s certain things about the British that even I don’t understand. If you ever need help with anything, all you have to do is ask.” Nathan told her – they were gong to be family after all and Nate would do all he could to help family out.

“The tubey thing used to be a nightmare for me. It took me about two years to get used to it. He chuckled lightly. “The staff at the stations were used to me… I think they thought I was either very slow or a bit mental.” He told India. Nathan may well be both of those things but that wasn’t the point.

He looked over at the twins. “Ah, love does very strange things to you.” He said with a glint in his green eyes. He moved to put his arm around Egypt’s shoulders and gave her a quick one armed squeeze.

Nathan gulped and removed his arm from Egypt as she decided that now was a good time to break the news of the wedding venue. He looked around the room gauging the sister’s reactions - not as bad as he had thought it may be – not bad at all… this was good. But he, too, was eager to find out whether Egypt had indeed told her mother where the wedding was to take place. He didn’t want any of them to think that he had forced Egypt into getting married in Scotland.

"I still haven't been on that tube thing. Nathan keeps promising to take me, but we haven't gone there yet." She was keen to get on it everyone kept talking about it. there were still somethings that she wanted Nathan to teach her and show her about muggles and all their things.

She looked at him and smiled. He was going out of his way toward her sister, and she was glad for it. "Yes Nathan is a whiz at all those muggle things. He's helped me a lot and I actually like some of the things muggles can come up with." She told India. The twins dealt with muggles in their business often, so they were more adapted then some of the sisters.

"Or is it your lover does strange things to you." She said with a wink and the girls cracked up laughing. Egypt was a shy person around people she didn't know but around her family she could talk for hours and she was quite lively too. This was the side of her personality that she liked. She hated going to work and not talking to anyone. Well she talked to Shane, and she really liked her.

She looked around at everyone. "No, I haven't mom yet that the wedding is in Scotland." She said standing up taller. She was done with their mother dictating everyone's lives and how it should be done. She didn't want all that fanfare and craziness of her sister's wedding. "That is where Nathan's family is from and his father is not well enough for travel. And since this is our wedding." She said pointing between herself and Nathan. "We thought it would be a nice place to hold the ceremony." She told them daring them to say something to the contrary about it.

Nathan glanced around the room. He was sure he could smell the unmistakable scent of baby vom. He pulled a face, you’d think he’d be completely oblivious to the smell now considering the number times Paris had puked on him. He could hear her faint gurgling and Tommy’s cooing coming from another room in the house. He was so proud of his daughter, and the woman who had given birth to her. The signing today was a good thing, for all of them – a confirmation of their love and an official binding of them all as a family.

He laughed as Egypt talked about the tube. "Well the times I’ve suggested it, you’ve always chickened out.” He teased. “Remember the first time I took you into London? We were supposed to go by tube but you kept making silly excuses not to.” Now wonder the woman had sore feet by the end of the day – London and sore feet just did not mix too well.

He looked a little sheepish as Egypt revealed his love for muggles and their contraptions. It was pretty obvious just looking at him, but he was a little embarrassed all the same, considering what Egypt had told him about her family. “It’s true.” He said and scratched the back of his head. Muggles were usually his favourite topic of conversation, after Dragons that is, but not right now. “It took a while to adjust to living in the muggle world, but I wouldn’t live anywhere else now.” He told the sisters.

He looked at Egypt with mock annoyance, raising an eyebrow. “Do you mind, Lady Riddle?”

He was relieved when she explained the current situation about how his father was too ill to travel but he hoped that she would hold off telling her mother about the venue until another day, after they had got through the ceremony and the signing. Maybe when the woman was back in Africa… that would be a good time to break the news. He took her hand and drew her to his side, giving her a peck on the cheek. “It was a joint decision.” He confirmed. Nathan would never push Egypt into doing anything she felt unhappy about.

"I am starting to like the muggle world a lot also." She announced to her sisters. "They are really nice once you get to know them. And that telly is just so amazing. I still don't see they can't get their pictures to move." She said laughing. Her and Nathan had many a discussion about that after he brought over his television and started watching his movie collection. "I love living in the muggle world as well. Pizza is not something I could have delivered if I didn't live around here."

She giggled and looked at him, "Well you always just sort of spring it on me. and then we have to go underground. Just give me sometime." she pointed out to him. "I will get down there one of these days. You just watch."

She blushed at Nathan, "Sorry Nathan." She was getting a bit carried away, but this was how her and her sisters were. Well when they were alone and no men were around anyways.

She smiled when he pulled her close. She leaned into the kiss. "Yes we both decided to have the wedding in Scotland." She told them. This was their day to exchange vows in front of the world and be joined together for life as husband and wife. All of her sister's weddings were the same. Same dress, same food, same venue. Well she wanted to be different, and besides she was marring the most unique person her family had ever seen. Her bother-in-laws were all sort of the same type of man just a different name. She loved them all, and her sisters really did love them too. But Nathan Greenwood was so different from them, and she loved that about him. She wanted their wedding to be different, she was done following along with whatever he mother dictating for the family. She was an adult now and was fully capable of making her own decisions about where she wanted to have her wedding for Merlin's bloody sake!
