This is the residence of Nathan Greenwood and his soon to be wife, Egypt Riddle. The eighteenth century three story terraced house is in Cheyne Walk, a prestigious and picturesque muggle residential area of Chelsea, London.

The rooms are traditionally decorated, keeping in line with the historic exterior of the building. In the basement there is a large swimming pool with a charmed ceiling to imitate the weather of choice. The gardens are extensive containing both muggle and magical plants. There are plenty of rooms on the upper levels of the house for friends and family to stay. The house has some of the finest views of the River Thames London has to offer.

Inside the house you will find the couple making preparations for their wedding, or busying themselves getting the nursery ready for the new arrival in a few months time.

Egypt was enjoying a nice swim in the pool. the roof retracted back to reveal a nice twilight night. Her hair was pulled tight into a ponytail but it kept getting in her face. She stopped to wrap her wet hear around the ponytail the maneuver it up under the clip so that it stayed in place. She dunked herself back up under the water and pushed herself off to swim back to the other side of the pool. It was so relaxing. The last few days had been stressful.

She was making preparations for her family to come and meet Nathan, and it had driven her crazy. Her mother had just demanded everything under the sun and then some. Nathan was freaking out about the trust signing and meeting all of her family.

She needed this swim. After a few dozen laps she walked up the steps and out of the pool. She dripped water all the way to the lounge chair. She reached for that little box that controlled Nathan's muggle contraption television thingy. He had finally moved all of his things in and she found that she liked this muggle invention.

“Do you mind. I was watching that.” Nathan piped up with a smirk. He wasn’t watching it. He had indeed dozed off in front of some rubbish game show, having returned from taking his sister to Diagon Alley for school supplies. Sitting in the Leaky Cauldron, lifting a pint of ale to the lips had been very tiring stuff. He opened his arm for Egypt to come and join him on the sofa. Enjoy your swim? He asked.

The new home was perfect - the three of them were settling in nicely. A nice family friendly environment for a child to grow up in. Lots of space to get lost in, and a huge garden to play in.

She looked over at him, "No you weren't" She smirked. "You were sleeping." She said sitting on the sofa next to him and lifting the sleeping baby out of his arms. Both of them had been sleeping so peacefully on that sofa and Egypt wasn't about to wake either of them up. She pulled the blankets back over the little brown face. She looked like a little version of Nathan with Egypt's complexion. She had a little tuft of dark curly hair. "Yes, it was very nice." She told him. "How was your nap?" She asked him with a smirk on his face.

She laid back in the crook of Nathan's arms and ran her finger down Paris' cheek, the baby wiggled her face at the light touch. She didn't wake up but she snuggled up to Egypt's arm and rolled over slightly. Egypt showered the little Paris with kisses. She didn't think she could love anyone more than she loved Nathan, but the fist time she saw Paris in St. Mungo's she loved her more than anything else in the world. "Mommy loves you," she cooed.

"What is going on at the Ministry?" she asked Nathan. "Did they find those elves?"

“I'd only just dozed off.” He replied sleepily. At least he thought he had – he could have been there for hours for all he knew. The game show seemed to have finished. He had been sleeping with Paris lying comfortably in the nook of one arm. He still couldn’t quite believe that he had helped to create this little person. He loved her completely and unconditionally - it made his heart hurt at times. He had never been prepared for the impact of the arrival of Paris was going to have on him.

He had been overwhelmed by it all in the hospital during the birth, becoming stupidly emotional when the midwife announced he had a baby daughter. Debatably more so than Egypt. Paris had Egypt’s beautiful complexion and thankfully had her nose, although the Greenwood resemblance was certainly strong… poor mite. But at times Nathan could see the Roiser in her, which came from his mother's side of the family, through certain expressions… or maybe it was when she had wind.

He leaned over and kissed Egypt on the cheek. “Perfect.” He said in reply to her question as he gazed at Paris. He found it hard to take his eyes off the little love in case he missed something. He handed the wee bundle over to Egypt and shook his dead arm back into life. “I think she needs changing.” He said pulling a face as the room filled with that now all too familiar stink of dirty nappies. He had never realised how much babies had to poop. And he was sure he spent his entire life smelling of baby puke these days. No wonder the women at the Ministry seemed to be avoiding him.

Nathan had allowed Egypt to choose the name and they had decided to keep up the Riddle tradition and name her after a country, like Egypt and all her sisters were. Nathan had a lot of fond memories of Le Paris, so he had no objection to the name.

“We still don’t know. There’s been no sign of those elves since they vanished with the kids.” Nathan shook his head. “I hope they realise what they’re doing and the consequences of their actions.” He said. The Ministry would go a lot harder on them for taking those kids. And muggle kids at that. "The poor wee bairns must be terrified by the whole ordeal."

"Dozed off, ha. I heard you snoring from under water." She laughed accepting his kiss on her cheek. Neither of them were enjoying the sleep patterns they used to before Paris came along, so she didn't begrudge him a little nap. She was surprised that she didn't fall asleep in the pool. "Its alright, I know you are tired."

She looked over at Nathan as he handed over Paris. In the hospital he had passed out and Tommy had to revive him. Her sister Kenya had warned her about the pain and Egypt couldn't imagine it, but it was the worst possible pain she could have gone through, but it was all worth it when the healer announced it was a girl. When the healer handed Paris over to him he broke down and cried. It made Egypt cry too. Tommy was the only one who kept her wits about her.

She peeked at Paris' bottom and groaned. "Oh no, dirty bottom." She announced with a face. That was the only drawback, the poor little things went through so many diapers. But the healer at St. Mungos said that was normal if she was eating properly. Still Egypt didn't like changing them, and Nathan was loathed to do it at all. Though he did seem to be on the receiving end when Paris couldn't hold her milk down. She got up and walked over to the changing table on the other side of the pool area. She hummed a little lullaby as she laid Paris down on the table and started the little dance of baby powder and diapers. Paris cooed and giggled as the diaper twirled the powder around and did a tango.

After getting a fresh diaper on Paris she called over to Nathan, "Are you ready for dinner?" Tweet and her sisters had been helping Egypt become a domestic goddess. She could cook a proper meal now, even though Nathan did get sick when she tried her first meal. Although she left most of the housework up to Tweet, she had cut back her hours at the Ministry. Her father didn't believe in strangers raising his children and neither did Egypt. "My family is coming tomorrow," she added quickly hoping he wasn't really listening to her. She had Paris on her shoulder.

"This rebellion is going to get worse before it gets better I'm afraid." She told him, she had be so scared this would happen, and she had been there. She had been sick for days that she didn't try to stop the elves, but she couldn't run the risk of her spell harming the children. "I think they are just trying to causing mischief. I have never known an elf to harm anyone let alone a human. What is your office saying about all of this?"

He smirked. “Can’t get away with anything around here.” He yawned and stretched, trying to pull himself together a bit. Who would have thought a baby could be so utterly exhausting? And he had work on top of these sleepless nights. At least before Paris came along, his sleepless nights had been his own choice. He smiled serenely at Egypt, allowing her to just get on with the nappy changing. She didn’t seem to mind. And Nathan would rather not go there if he could help it. The smell was bad enough from over here.

He watched them with fascination. Egypt was a natural at this parenting thing, and Nate, well… he had been pretty clueless but he was learning. He watched the little dance going on between the powder and nappy, making Paris coo. The sweetest sound he had ever heard - it caused his heart to jump in his chest with the love he felt for his daughter. He watched for a little longer before turning his attention back to the television.

He picked up the remote control and propped his feet up on the coffee table. Egypt seemed content with Paris’ company. He was having to adjust to not being the centre of Egypt’s universe anymore. But it was alright being second best – sort of. Their lives had changed enormously. Nathan missed the closeness he used to share with Egypt. In a way he wished they’d waited a few years before having a child, but he wouldn’t change the arrival of Paris for anything.

He made himself comfortable… the TV could keep him company for a while. He flicked through the channels, and stopped on the eighties muggle movie, Gremlins. Man, they didn’t make em like this anymore.

He pulled a face at the mention of dinner. He hadn’t particularly enjoyed the last ones. Nathan would rather stick to his bland British food thank you very much. “What are we having?” he asked vaguely with his eyes fixed on Gizmo on the TV screen.

He heard her say something else, but didn’t it didn’t quite sink in. “Huh?” he asked engrossed in Gremlins. He’d never seen anything quite like it.

She heard the fear in his voice at her mention of dinner. She was learning after all, she had to eat her concoctions the same as Nathan. She walked back over to him and sat down next to him and leaned back into his arms. "Your stomach not up to my cooking again?" She asked with a giggle. "I can let Tweet cook tonight if that will ease your stomach." She told him trying to dodge Paris' chubby fingers as the little baby tried to snag one of Egypt's locks of hair that had fallen loose from her ponytail. "She can make that cheeseburger that you like so much." She told him with a smile.

She finally got a proper glance of the movie he was watching. She had really found that she liked his muggle telly. He liked some of the strangest movies she thought. It was a furry little animal being chased by slimy little creatures. "What is this?" she asked leaning over to put Paris in her bassinet. She put up a fuss for a minute but then she rolled over on her stomach and went back to sleep. She looked at the movie for a few minutes, she wasn't following the plot very well.

She leaned back into Nathan's arms. They hadn't spent time alone like they used to do, and Egypt missed that closeness. She snuggled up close to him and tucked her feet up under herself. "I miss you." She stated plainly. They used to sit out in the garden feeding his owl watching the storm clouds roll in. They would watch the sunrise together, and then eat breakfast standing up in the kitchen. She didn't want to lose that closeness that they shared. She didn't want him to go and seek that closeness elsewhere.

She was glad that he didn't hear what she said, she would tell him later. Maybe while he was asleep and couldn't really hear her properly. "Oh nothing, I was just asking about what your office was saying about that elf rebellion." she said.

He leaned over and cooed over Paris, tickling her little neck with his finger. “Hello you.” He said gently. “Poor mummy having to clean up all that poop.” He watched as Egypt put her in her bassinet and turned his attention back to this fantastic film.

He laughed at the slimy creatures chasing the cute one. He shrugged when Egypt asked what it was. “Haven’t a clue, but it’s definitely one for our DVD collection.” He grinned. These ancient muggle films always were great fun.

“Aaw.” He said as she said she missed him. He tightened his arm around her and kissed her lips. It was hard to ever get any alone time with Egypt around here these days. He shifted his position on the sofa, getting even more comfortable, and lay his head in her lap. “I miss you too.” He said quietly. “Emily has offered to baby sit anytime… under Ewan’s supervision of course. You just have to say when you want a day off.” And maybe the could get a proper night’s sleep ...and snuggle. But it was still early days and Nathan knew how hard Egypt would find it leaving Paris.

“Oh. That.” He said bitterly. “No further leads I’m afraid.” He was so annoyed with his department for their slow response on the case – and Nate didn’t get annoyed easily. The parent’s of those kids would be frantic with worry. It made him feel sick to think how he would feel if it was Paris. “The Wizengamot will go hard on those elves, won’t they?” he asked. “What happens to house elves that break the law so seriously?” he asked. Egypt may not know. He couldn’t recall ever reading about elves that had committed such a crime. There was no elf version on Azkaban, was there? Maybe Tweet would know.

She swelled with love watching Nathan playing with Paris, the two people she loved most in the world. She loved her daddy so much, she had a different smile that she reserved just for Nathan. "And poor daddy has to be thrown up on." She said with a giggle. He hadn't seen it coming the first time.

"Yes it looks very interesting." She said her attention capture by the ugly slimy creatures running around reeking havoc on a small town. "Yes we will have to add this one to the collection."

She reached down and stroked his dark hair. His hair was almost as long as Egypt's, she loved running her hands through it. Paris was going to have Nathan's hair, with a little bit of curl to it. It seemed Paris had gotten the best of both her parents. She thought about Emily babysitting, she knew that she had to let her do it sometimes. It was the few times Egypt had seen the girl smile, when she was playing with her niece. She seemed to have taken a real liking to Paris. Egypt had always been there thought, she hadn't even let Tomasina babysit Paris alone. "Oh ok that will be nice." She said simply. She didn't know if she was ready to let Paris be alone with someone else when she wasn't there. "Well I suppose that she can watch her this weekend. After my family is here we will need the rest." She needed to get this over with and tell him they were coming tomorrow. "My parents will be here tomorrow."

"Thats a shame." She said, the whole Ministry had dropped the ball on that one. "The Wizengmot usually throws the book at magical creatures that attack or harm humans." She said sadly. "I don't see a happy ending to this." She told him quietly fighting back tears. She had read through case histories and most of the magical creatures were executed. She didn't want to be a part of any court that did that to those wayward elves. "I am not sure I can hand down a judgment that condemns those elves to death."

Nathan's stomach made a loud gurgling sound in protest at the thought of Egypt's cooking. He put his hand to it as if trying to silence it. He gave Egypt an apologetic look, hoping she hadn't heard. "That cheeseburger is sounding more and more appealing by the second." he said. "Can I have chips with it?" Yum... you couldn't beat a good old burger and chips... except with maybe a fry up. Nathan didn't want to admit to Egypt that her cooking made him sick... and that it hadn't just been the first time either. Ghanaian cooking was obviously an acquired taste which Nathan's taste buds disagreed with in the strongest terms. He would much rather stick to his bland British food thank you very much.

"Oh yeah. She saves the baby vomit up especially for daddy. Don’t you, you wee love?" He grinned at his daughter. She gave him that special smile in return. "Aaw." he said

He closed his eyes as Egypt ran her fingers through his hair, enjoying the touch from the woman he loved. Her touch that he had missed for so long. "That's nice," he said sleepily. He loved it when she messed about with his hair - it made him feel totally relaxed. "You should get a job as a head masseuse." He smiled when she said Emily could baby-sit. The prospect of some time alone with Egypt pleased him greatly. "Brilliant." he replied. "I'll get Goliath to take her a note." Why couldn't witches and wizards just learn to use a telephone? It would make life so much easier for everyone.

He sat bolt up right at her next words and looked at her with his eyes wide. "T-tomorrow?" Oh bloody hell! Why couldn't she have warned him sooner? "Thats - that's nice." he said, trying to hide his sudden anxiousness. "They'll be more interested in Paris than me anyway." One can hope.

He raised his eyebrows. "Execution?" No way." he shook his head. "They wouldn't, would they? I'm sure the elves haven't harmed the children in any way. I've never ever heard any reports of elves harming a human being before." He lay back down again. "How could they be so stupid?" he muttered. He thought that house elves had more sense than that.

She tried to look offended when his stomach growled in protest to her cooking. They were going to have to find a middle ground on the food thing. She didn't care of British food all that much, and he couldn't take pungent, spicy Ghanaian food that she loved so much. Maybe Italian food cold work for them. She had to chuckle because he had been a good sport about her cooking. "Yes I think Tweet and whip up some chips with that cheeseburger." she said with a smile. Nathan had made her try one when they were in the park. It wasn't that bad, he seemed to love the greasiness of it all.

She was focused on the movie, it seemed those slimy things were multiplying by the boat loads, she heard Nathan talking about a head something or another. "What is that?" she asked him. She just liked running her hand through his hair. She didn't know how he kept it so nice. He just seemed to shower and dress, not taking as much to get ready as she did. Though she loved that about him. "Yes I think Emily has grown rather attached to Paris, seeing how the poor girl never had a sister. Only had you boys to run around with." She said with a laugh. Emily did turn out to be a lot more girly than Egypt would have thought growing up with all those brothers and no sisters to show her how to plait her hair right.

She was afraid he would freak out about her family coming tomorrow. "Calm down Nathan, they are going to love you. Just be yourself. It is going to be alright." She gave him a pat on the knee.

"Nathan I've been reading about executions of magical creatures when they haver harmed humans." She said with sadness on her voice. "Even if the creature was provoked and justified in the attack or whatever the Wizengamot has never found in favor of the creature." She stated. She had been through almost two centuries of case files, and not once had the creature been spared their life. "I don't know what has gotten into those elves. I just hope that I will be able to argue the case for them." She would step down as a judge to defend those elves.

“Excellent stuff” Nathan said rubbing his hands together with glee and grinning. He was starving - he didn’t exactly have a large appetite, but he hadn’t eaten properly ever since Egypt decided to try her hand at cooking. He had snuck out for KFC the other night out of desperation. A burger and chips would go down really well. Especially the way Tweet made them – with just the right amount of grease, the way he liked it.

“A head masseuse?” he asked with his eyes fixed on the multiplying slimy creatures on the screen. “It’s a muggle thing. Someone who massages heads for a living. It’s really relaxing.” Nathan had only ever had one Indian head massage, and that was only because his ex had insisted. But he enjoyed the experience, even if it did mess up his hair.

He continued to watch this very odd film with an increasingly confused expression, “You know, considering muggles don’t believe in magic, or our world, they seem to have extremely vivid imaginations.” These Mogwai creatures seemed very much like something from the wizarding world.

“She loves her. She’ll be delighted you’ve agreed to let her.” As was Nathan – he couldn’t remember the last time he had been completely alone with Egypt, and it would do Emily good. “I know.” He replied with a chuckle. “I always did feel sorry for the wee girl. She never had an easy time of it.” Nate had always been a bit old too get involved, but his brothers were horrible to her at times. He had had to step in and stop their bullying on many an occasion – maybe that’s why Ems seemed to have such a soft spot for Nathan, despite his obvious muggleness.

“I – I am calm.” Nathan replied taking a deep breath. Egypt seemed to be able to read him like a book. He nodded. “I hope so.” He couldn’t believe he still hadn’t met Egypt’s family. He hoped they wouldn’t think too badly of him and the situation with Egypt. He knew it wasn’t ideal – having a baby so early in their relationship… and there was the money thing… and Nathan’s love of all things muggle. “It will be fine, I’m sure.” He lied, trying to convince Egypt that he was ok with it. It had to happen sometime and tomorrow was as good as any time - he just wished he'd been given more time to prepare himself. "What time are they coming?"

Nathan sat up and put his arm around Egypt as she talked of how magical creatures were treated by the courts. “I hope it doesn’t get as far as the courts.” He replied, knowing that it was more than likely that it would. “I’ll come and sit in on the trials if you want. For moral support.” He wasn’t sure if Egypt would be able to convince the other judges to go easy on the creatures, but Nate would be there for her. There was nothing else he could do.

Egypt chuckled a little, "Is Ghanaian food that bad?" She asked with mirth in her voice. "Or is it my cooking?" She had made him her favorite dish which contained goat and he almost literally turned green. He thought she didn't know about him sneaking off to that muggle place that sold that horrible thing they had the nerve to call chicken. She saw the napkin shoved into his leather jacket. "Well I guess I can leave the cooking to Tweet from now on," she said in mock outrage, trying to hide the smile on her face.

"You should see what they do to Merlin in those movie things. They like to believe in magic, but when they come face to face with it it scares them. It really is quite amusing actually." Oh Merlin, she was talking like a Brit now!

"I can only imagine growing up with you lot." Then she thought about it. "Well growing up with 11 sisters was quite the battle field too." She remembered times her parents had to wait till the smoked cleared to sort everyone out. she wanted to get to know Emily a little better, the girl did seem really rough around the edges. Too hard for a girl as pretty as she was. "Tell he she doesn't just have to come around for Paris. I would be more than happy to spend a day with her. Just the girls." She told him.

"Well they will arrive in the morning. Since we can't go to Ghana for the trust signing they are bringing the ceremony here. So we have to get ready for it." She explained gently hoping to not upset Nathan more than her already was. "You go off to work tomorrow and they will be here when you get back."

She was grateful when he put his arms around her. She was really scared for those elves. "Nathan I would love it if you came to trials with me. I am not sure if I will have any friends in there if I argue for the elves." She said not really wanting to believe that as far as they had come humans would still deny elves their rights.

Was his trepidation at the prospect of having to eat another meal cooked by Egypt that obvious? Dear oh dear, Nathan really needed to work on hiding what he was thinking. In his line of work, this was no good at all. “Ghanaian cooking is obviously an acquired taste.” He said simply. “I’m sure your cooking has nothing to do with it. My tastebuds just need time to… to adjust...?” Hah! – not. He shook his head dismissively at her next words. Nathan didn’t want to deter Egypt from cooking, she seemed to enjoy it – but it was when she decided to cook things like goat that it made his stomach turn. “No, love. Your cooking is definitely improving.” He had managed to keep it down the last time she cooked... just. “Besides, Tweet deserves a night off from time to time.” But maybe Nate could take over the cooking duties on those occasions as well sometimes.

He laughed. “Muggles do have some daft idea’s of what a witch should be.”

“Oh, don’t even try to imagine it.” Nathan replied with a smirk. “We were just left to get on with it most of the time.” Their parent’s seemed to be busy with other things most of the time. “The poor house elves were left to take care of us most of the time… And you can imagine what my brothers were like towards them.” He laughed, but it wasn't particuarly funny. “I wouldn’t have minded growing up surrounded by you lot.” Or not. Nathan suspected that girls could be a lot worse to each other than boys.

“I will. She’ll be pleased.” He replied, giving her a squeeze. “She could really do with some female company… especially during the holidays.”

“In the morning?” Merlin’s hat – this was getting better and better. “W-what?” the colour drained out of his face when Egypt said the ceremony was to take place here… tomorrow! Why was it Nathan seemed to be the last person to know anything in this relationship? Egypt's family knew things before he did. “We can go to Ghana.” He replied with a look of bewilderment. Anything to stall this scary ceremony. Oh great… work was going to be even more fun with the thought of meeting the in-laws, and the signing on his mind all day. Egypt and Nathan weren’t even married yet. He sighed defeatedly. “Alright. I better wear my best suit tomorrow then eh?”

“Speaking of which, the MLES have been asked to work at the Minister wedding. Will you come with me? To keep me company.” Nathan was sure it was going an extremely boring day. “I’m sure Paris would be welcome too.” He added. He was so disappointed he had to work it. That open bar had been very appealing, but on duty – he would not be able to indulge… much.

“Alright.” He replied. The court scared the hell out of Nate, but if just being there would help her, it was a small thing he could do for her. He kissed her cheek. “I love you, Lady Riddle. I would do anything for you.”

They were really going to have to find a happy medium with the food thing. "Well how about we try Italian food?" Tweet really liked cooking that type of food. "We can just mix it up a bit, because to be honest English food is not really my cup of tea either." she told him honestly. Although she did like his breakfast sausage. She honestly hated tea and that toast with the undercooked egg dish was the worse.

"Oh no, you didn't want to grow up with us. We were horrible to each other." She said with a giggle. "Ireland had a gap in teeth for almost 5 years before we figured out it was a hex from Zaire." She said laughing at the memory. "It would have been nice to have a brother though." she told him thoughtfully.

"Well then its settled, just send her a owl and tell her to pop in whenever she wants too. I don't mind when." She couldn't understand why her and Tommy rubbed each other the wrong way. Well Emily was way too blunt for Tomasina's taste, but Egypt didn't mind it. Thats what kids did. They spoke their minds whenever the thought popped into their head. She would learn to edit herself as she got older. Tommy wasn't having it though, they were cordial enough to each other but Egypt feared they would never be friends.

She looked at him, he was acting like she just announced his execution or something, "Nathan did I freak out when I meet your brothers and sisters? Was I anything but myself? No I was Egypt Riddle inside and out. Emily was a bit standoffish with me at first, but she warmed up to me."

She looked at him, "My family is a part of me and I want you to meet them, but don't let this meeting change anything about you. I fell in love with Nathanial Greenwood because of who you are.
