This manor is the home of three women, one teenager and, occassionally, other adults and children of varying ages. Apha Ajuila, Chloé Baton, and Susanna Samuels live here, with Susanna's niece, Cully (when she's home from school). Occassionally, Susie's brother and sisters, and their children (twenty plus between them), come and stay in the guest rooms. The manor was Susie's late sister's before she died, and Susie never changed the name of it.

The manor is located in the middle of London, hidden from muggle eyes by magic. It is well kept, neat and tidy, as Chloé's parents make sure to keep a house elf working there, despite the girl's wishes.

The double oak doors can be reached by walking up the pathway, to the porch. Once inside, a gentle, girly hallway waits, branching off into the front room, kitchen, and a room used only for special occassions. Through the kitchen is the dining room and the "tower", which hosts the downstairs library. Chloé can usually be found here.

Up the tower stairs, you enter yet another library, this one the one Apha tends to be found in. Exiting it, there is a landing similar to the hallway. Seven doors branch off: Apha's room; Chloé's room; Cully's room; Susie's room; guest bedroom one; two and three.

There is a pool out back, and a tennis court tucked into the nearby trees. Susie can often be found floating in the pool, reading, or playing tennis against one of the other girls.

This is just a place for the girls to hang out with their friends, from out and about and from the Ministry, with Apha and Susie having jobs. When Cully's home from school, she'll happily invite any friends or cousins she has over as well.

It was Cully and Chloé left in the manor after Apha and Susie had left for work, despite the little trick played on Apha. Rosae, the house elf, was also somewhere in the manor, cleaning - despite Cully's feeble attempts to stop her doing so.

Sat on the bottom of her bed, Cully sighed, shutting the book she held and throwing it to the side. It was incredibly lonely here - none of her cousins were able to come around today, and the few people she'd met at Hogwarts didn't know where she lived.

Standing up and smoothing down the white skirt she wore, Cully made her way to the window. So Susie and Apha weren't in. Chloé was, somewhere - probably downstairs, reading. Not wanting to bother her after suffering at her temper many times, Cully didn't want to annoy and interrupt her.

Glancing out of the large window, she looked at the pool. It was inviting - so inviting. But she couldn't swim, and she didn't want to float. She'd only get her book wet, anyway, by dropping it into the water.

Maybe she'd help out Rosae for a bit. It'd keep her mind off the loneliness, at least.

At a knock on the door, Cully sighed, still stood at the window. 'Come in!' she called, knowing it was probably Chloé. Well, Rosae would be able to wait a while if the elder woman wanted to talk.

She often found it hard to believe that Chloé was actually Susie's best friend - the two weren't really alike. Apha was kind of in between, the mediator between the two. Cully wasn't really the same as any of them, other than in appearance.

She returned to the seat on her bed, crossing one leg daintily below her other.

Gently pushing down on Cully's doorhandle, Chloé stepped into the room, smiling. Seeing the girl sat on her bed, that was where she made her way to first.

''ello,' she said, taking a seat next to her. 'Are you bored? We could alwayz go out for a walk.' Chloé wanted to escape the house, no matter how big it was. She'd been in here a lot recently and she didn't fancy being stuck here for much longer. 'Susie et Apha are still out, and zey might not be back for a while.'

She rubbed at her jeans, looking at Cully expectantly as she waited for an answer.


It was at that moment Susanna apparated in the front garden, glancing around to make sure no one had seen her before she fiddled in her bag for her key. It was somewhere in here - the problem was, Susanna could never remember where she'd put it, something that she hated.

Finally finding it buried under her purse, she pulled her key out and quickly unlocked the door, stepping into the hallway. Throwing the metal onto the table, she shut the door behind her and made her way towards the kitchen, dumping her bag and coat on her hanger as she passed.

'Cully! Chloé!' she shouted as she reached the kitchen, fiddling in her pocket before removing a chocolate bar and placing it on the surface. Quickly pouring herself some apple juice, she made towards the library to see Chloé, and was somewhat taken aback by the fact she wasn't there.

Cully simply shrugged at Chloé at her suggestion they go out. Sure, it was a nice day today, but she didn't know whether she wanted to go out or not. She glanced at her window again, and caught a glimpse of the sun reflecting off the waves in the pool gently overlapping.

'Maybe,' was all she said, before she heard the door downstairs open. Glancing briefly at Chloé, she was up and out onto the hallway quickly as the familiar sound of her aunt's voice came up the stairs.

'Susie!' she called down, before dashing to the library and hurrying down the stairs. It felt like forever since Susie had left for work, so when Cully swung down the bottom of the stairs she smiled broadly at Susanna. Already knowing that Susie had thrown her favourite chocolate bar onto the worktop, she made her way into the kitchen and picked it up slowly, not wanting to seem greedy.

Truth was, she knew her grandfather had to send the chocolate over from France, so she didn't get it often. Evidently, Susie had just recieved a batch whilst at work. Cor's old owl, Pitch, always went to wherever Susie was, never dropping whatever she'd recieved off at home.

Slipping it into her pocket, she made her way back to where Susie was standing. 'Thank you, Suse,' she thanked her. 'I owe you!'

Marra walked up the steps to the manor anxiously inspecting the house.
Is this even the right one? Marra looked around. She was sure Chloe and Apha lived here. Marra walked up to the door and knocked cautiously.
"Chloe?? Apha?? Is anyone home?"

Susie chuckled softly at Cully, knowing how much she adored the chocolate. 'I'm warning you now, sweetie, there are only four bars this time - one each. Take it slowly - unlike the last one.'

Hypocrite! she thought, knowing she also loved the chocolate and ate the bar fast. She chuckled again, pulling a second out and placing it on Chloé's desk in the library as she girl walked down the stairs.

Smiling at Susie, Chloé heard someone knocking on the door. Glancing quickly at Cully, she frowned. 'Did you invite someone over?' she asked the younger girl, before making her way to the hallway, able to hear someone calling her name and Apha's name.

Her frown deeping, Chloé wrapped her cardigan around her and pulled open the door. ''Ello,' she greeted the girl there, quickly trying to place her.

Marra looked at Chloe and immedietly thought she was mistaken.

"Are you Chloe? Chloe Baton? You used to go to Hogwarts?" Marra saw no recognition in her face and turned to leave.

Marra smiled.
"Neither I can yours. I know of Susie. She used to go to my school. But I'm pretty sure I've met you before. I've been to France...but I...."
Marra looked at her, tryingot to remember.

Cully rolled her eyes. 'Susie, despite what you think, I'm not as greedy as my mother is. I do take things slowly, but it's just French chocolate . . . I'm surprised I'm not foaming at the mouth.' She smirked, and smiled at Chloé as she walked off to answer the door.

'Oh, I got a letter from Cor today,' she stated, starting up a new topic. 'She and Alex are planning on coming around soon. They're also gonna bring the other Balsreighs, and Daniel and Lyona as well. We're gonna have a full house; I think you may need to make some sleep on the third floor.'

She winced. The third floor was cold, due to the fact yesterday, Cully had accidentally hit a tennis ball through the main window, and it hadn't yet been repaired, due to Chloé not even knowing what Cully had done and her aunt and Apha being out.

She smiled innocently at Susie, leaning against the counter.

'Your mother is a greedy pig, I'll agree with you there. You know, at my fifth birthday party, Destiny ate half my cake before we'd even finished unwrapping the presents?' Susie chuckled softly. 'But I agree with you. This French chocolate is foaming-at-the-mouth delicious!'

At the mention of Cor, her second favourite niece, Susie's face brightened up considerably. 'Oh, she and Alex are coming? It'll be nice to see them; they've been in France far too long.' She sighed, before smiling at the thought of the others coming. 'So we'll have a full house? Would you mind sharing with Alex, Jodie and Lyona then?' That was the usual arrangement; boys in the third floor, Alex, Jodie and Lyona sharing Cully's room, Frankie and Eric in Susie's room with Susie and Apha, and Alex and Cor stealing Apha's room.

Thinking of Apha, Susie frowned. Where had that French girl gotten to? She was sure they'd made plans to meet before they left the Ministry, but she hadn't seen Apha all day. Oh well.

She'd be home soon enough.

Susie caught Cully's smile and raised an eyebrow. She recognised it all too well. 'What have you done this time?' she asked, her voice full of weariness.

'She ate half your cake?' Cully tried to digest this bit of news without laughing, but soon found it was pointless as peals of laughter consumed her and she had to back out of the room for a moment to calm herself down. When she had, she winced. 'Shouldn't have done that,' she muttered, tenderly rubbing the bruise on her chest.

'Of course I'll share with them!' Cully smiled, before it faded at the thought of the one person she really wanted to share a room with but wouldn't. She would pay anything to sleep in the same room as Sally one more time, to speak to her and hug her.

She looked out of the kitchen window, rememnering how much Sally loved the house. 'It will be nice to see them again,' she muttered quietly.

She looked up at Susie, blushing at her question. 'I . . . err . . . I kinda hit the tennis ball through the third floor window?' she almost asked her aunt, her cheeks enflamed.

Susie winced as her niece rubbed the bruise on her chest, immediately turning to the cupboard nearby and pulling out a thick tube of paste. 'I said before, and I'll say again; rub this on twice daily.' She threw the paste across to Cully. 'Otherwise that bruise will never heal! Seriously, I could kill Robbie for hitting you with that football.'

She sighed, and took a seat on one of the stools at the breakfast bar. She could tell by the far away expression on Cully's face after she said she'd share, she was thinking about Sally. When did any of them not think about Sally?

'She's happy now. You know how much she missed Ash, but now they're together.' She stood up and wrapped an arm around Cully's shoulders. 'It was tough on all of us. We can cope, though.' She kissed Cully's hair briefly.

'Hit the tennis ball through the window?' Susie turned to look at the teenager. 'Culs! How did you manage that one?'

Catching the paste, Cully rolled her eyes. 'Lord, you sound like Destiny,' she commented, one eyebrow raised as she pocketed the paste. 'Please don't tell me you're gonna be like her.' She rolled her eyes.

'It wasn't his fault. He gave up the magical world, and he was playing muggle football. He mis-aimed it. If it's anyone's fault, it's mine for not being careful.' She sighed.

She could feel her arm wrap an arm around her shoulders and closed her hazel eyes, lost in thought. Ashana, Michael, Sally . . . She missed them all. But she knew what Susie was saying was true.

She blushed again when Susie asked her how she managed to hit the ball through the window. 'I don't know! I just did, somehow. I think I hit it a little too hard and the wind picked it up.'

'Yeah, well, you won't be needing me to sound like Destiny soon,' Susie informed Cully. 'Remember how I told you she was pregnant? She's had a baby, Kalika, and she's moving in with us for a bit. So's Lea. Lea's gonna be taking the room next to yours, Destiny and Kali the one next to that.'

She sighed, leaning back onto the breakfast bar at the mention of Robbie giving up the magical world. 'Poor Robbie. First he loses his mother, then his sister, then his girlfriend. Then his elder sister abandons him in England . . . it's no wonder he gave up the magical world, is it?' she asked, more to herself than Cully.

'By the way, Star's coming around tomorrow, and the triplets as well. The triplets are arriving early; that's why Star's coming, to bring them.' She smiled. 'For now, you get to bed. I'll fix the window then go to bed myself.' She smiled, looking out of the window, where it was growing dark.


Chloé also noticed this, whilst outside, and smiled to the girl. 'I need to be getting eenside. Sorry. Maybe we'll see you anozer teeme?' she asked, before turning her back on the girl and unlocking the door. Winking, she stepped in and let it close behind her, before dashing up the stairs to her own room, changing quickly.

Lord, how a day with only Cully could bore her! She was grateful Bryony and Xenia were coming tomorrow with Star.

'Destiny is coming to live here?' Cully shrieked at her aunt's words. 'With the baby? Why the heck did she name it Kalika?' Her voice was a scream now. 'And why didn't you warn me she was coming? You know I hate her!'

Calm it, Culitha, she ordered herself, using her full name as she pinched the bridge of her nose and turned away. She ignored the rest of what Susanna said, but made her way to her room as she was told, just behind Chloé. She slammed her door shut, changed, and slipped into the covers.

Stupid Destiny, was her last thought before sleep claimed her.


Apha returned not long after that, slipping inside quietly and making her way up to her blue room. After quickly and quietly showering, she threw on her night dress and slipped into her bed, falling into a sleep instantly.

When she awoke, it was to a light knocking on the door that she assumed was Star. She ignored it, instead getting out of bed and slipping on some clothes as eccentric as the day before, adding two scarves - one dark green, topped by a light green, then three silver necklaces on top.

Slipping her heels on, she made her way down to the kitchen and poured herself an orange juice. The recent meeting with Jake had frazzled her nerves, and she really didn't want to have to talk to Susie again.

It had been bad enough Nathan being there when she told Susie.

Having quickly fixed the upstairs window, Susie had gon to bed exhausted, only to awake to the same knocking as Apha. She groaned softly, grabbing her dressing gown and slipping her feet into the slippers by the side of her bed.

She made her way down the stairs, yawning, knowing she looked a mess as she grabbed her keys. As she unlocked the door, she brushed her hair down, glancing in the nearby mirror.

Ugh, I look like a monster, she thought, hearing Apha move in the kitchen as she peeped around the door.

'Bryony! Xenia! Come in!' she called cheerily, seeing Chloé's sisters. 'I'll just call Chloé if you want?'


Bryony, taking in Susanna's rough, just-woken-up appearance, smirked. 'Thanks, but we'll wait until she comes down.' She ran a hand through her blonde hair, stepping into the familiar hallway and making her way straight to the front room. 'Morning, Apha!' she called to the girl she could hear in the kitchen - no way was it Chloé, who slept until gone noon.

Susie sighed, and made her way to the kitchen to get the pair some juice. She smiled at Apha. 'Morning. Xenia and Bryony are here, so I suggest we get moving soon.'
