"Oh, I'm sure I will. And I once we see those gorgeous French boys, we'll have all the inspiration in the world to learn the language." Agie smirked. Deep down, she wasn't really interested in the French boys, but who knew what was going to happen.

"Oh, finally some sun! I love sun." She said shiftily. "We can tan and swim and stay outside for hours and hours. Getting up to all sorts of trouble." She reached over and hugged Lyra. "It's ok, you and me together, remember. We will have fun and if not, we'll become drop outs together."

Lyra giggled but shook her head as she heard the whistle of the train. Her heart began to pound faster and faster as the train began to show it's face. She took in a deep breath to hide the tears that wanted to form.

"Yeah, drop outs. I don't think our families would take very kindly to that but I think I will take kindly to the boys," she spoke, obviously hiding her pain of leaving behind the one person that meant the world to her. She had to show that she was the same Lyra as before, she promised she would.

"I'm nervous, Agie. Really nervous."

Oh no! The train was there already. Agie grabbed on to Lyra's hand. Believe it or not, she was rather nervous.

"We could run away. Then, I'm sure us being drop outs would be the last of their worries." She smirked. Hmmm speaking of boys, Agie looked over to see a boy knock over a girl. She giggled, as she pointed out the boy to Lyra. "look, there's one already. Just a tad clumsy though." Agie laughed, trying to forget about her nerves.

"I know...Me to. But it will be ok."

Lyra took Agie's hand and smiled, still nervous of course, but with Agie there, things seemed a bit easier to take. She was about to speak until someone knocked into her and pushed her down to the ground. "What in the-" she paused as she looked back to see that an overgrown boy had knocked her down. "Hey! Watched where you are going, you big goof," she snapped as she realized she might have been a bit harsh on the boy and tried to change her tone a bit. "I mean, I am rather short here, but...geez."

The boy was tall and possessed rather handsome features as well. She looked up at him with an eyebrow raised and a slight frown on her face. "Yeah, let's hope we don't get ran over but other people," she stated as she began dusting herself off, then fixing her hair that flew into her face.

Lyra's frown changed as yet another person came over and offered a hand to help her up off the ground. "Thank you," she huffed as her eyes moved back to the overgrown goof again, then back to the one who was helping her. She gave a partial smile as she lifted her hands to the person, whom looked rather familiar, only slightly. But where had she seen him before and what nice blonde hair he had...cute facial features, not that the overgrown goof had them as well, but...Clear your head, Lyra. she thought to herself as her smile became more noticeable.

"Umm, I'm fine thank you," she said as she stood up, dusting off her backside for a moment. "Thank you, once again...umm...I'm sorry, I don't know your name." What a perfect moment to introduce herself to the person who looked familiar to her, but once again, where had she seen this person and why was he familiar to her.

Lyra began brushing her tongue against the back of her teeth, a habit she picked up from Christian no doubt, as she blinked a couple of times towards the new boy, who's name was Carlisle. "Nice to meet you, Carlisle," she smiled once again, this time biting her lower lip. "New? Not so much new, to say the least. Well, we are on our way to France, which will be new to us once we get there," she perked up as she heard French words coming from his mouth. Hmmm...

"I'm Lyra Noir and this here," she pointed towards her best friend and continued, "This is Agie Brandywine, my best friend." She took in a deep breath and swallowed, then the smile came back once more.

Definate oops. "I'm quite sorry, Mademoiselle." Jerome apologized, dusting his black suit jacket off. He was much too taller than most of the people anyways. She was a lovely girl but he wasn't too in to girls right now.

Oh god. "Bonjour, Carlisle... I did not see you." Jerome said shortly, restraining a frown. He probably thought he was extremely clumsy, which he was not. He was merely just taller than the rest and had missed one person while running through a crowd. He straightened up and watched as they conversed, not sure if he should leave or not. The train was boarding and he felt that he should wait until most of the people got in. Oh, whatever. If they wanted to know his name, they could ask.

She continued to smile, until the boy knocked Lyra down. Agie let out a small giggled but called out to the boy. "Hey! Watch it." Looking back at Lyra, she seemed to be fine. "You ok?" She asked anyway.


Agie noticed another French boy. How rude!! He just completely ignored her. Was she invisible or something? "Hi!" She said. She could have perhaps, been a little more friendly, but she wasn't in any real mood to try. And where was Josh! He was suppose to be here by now.

Lyra continued dusting herself off once more as the boy began to speak. What was up with all the French already? "Not a problem, Monsieur," she spoke rather snooty like, trying to use what little French she did know at the moment. "Just next time, watch where you are going...please."

She turned back to Agie and gave a warm smile, letting her know that everything was okay. "Yes. I'm fine...more than fine actually," she sighed, giving off her bigger than life grin. Maybe going off to school was not a bad thing after all, especially if there were going to be boys such as these two handsome fellas. Sigh! But they were nothing like the boy that would always remain on her mind. She had to act as though everything was okay, for the moment, just until she was alone again and then the tears could come back. That was it!

Agie smirked at Lyra trying to speak in French. "Monsssiur" She repeated, poking her tongue out. Agie knew, she'd never really try to learn the language. Besides, who needs words to communicate.

There was something about Lyra that seemed different. Almost likes there was something she was hiding from her. Well not hiding, but not telling her about it. Agie watched her, trying to see if she gave anything away. After having no luck, she returned the smile. "That's good. Because I think we'll have to board the train soon. And I'm so not going alone."

Oh, so it was a Little-Miss-Snooty, huh? He smiled politely back and replied, "That I will, Madamoiselle Petit." Miss Little. A fitting nickname for a small girl. He smiled again, a little more broadly, before entering the train and finding (to his dismay and pleasure) that it was an open seat train. He walked to first class, and finding his seat, sank down in a nice seat that wasn't too small for him (for once, although the seats were probably HUGE for others around him.).

He bowed his head lightly to both of the females. "It's a pleasure to meet you both. I hope you will you enjoy your stay at Beauxbatons...but more importantly, France!"


"Hello Jerome," Carlisle replied softly, throwing the tall boy a warm smile. "I hope you are well?"


"HI." Carlisle turned his attention to the female who appeared to desperately want it. "I'm sorry for not saying anything to you," he said softly. "I was worried that perhaps your friend was hurt. No offence to you, mademoiselle."


"Behave, Jerome!" Carlisle called after the tall fellow. "Don't mind him...I think you ladies should board soon, the train is due to depart soon. If you want, me and couple of mes amis can put your luggage into the luggage compartment for you."

Lyra giggled as Agie stuck her tongue out. Ahh! Just like the old days of Hogwarts. She stuck her tongue out as well giggling more than before, until the overgrown boy began to speak once again. She cut her eyes in the direction of the tall boy, Jerome obviously, and watched him walk off towards the train.

"Clearly he is not a true French man, is he?" she asked Carlisle that seemed to know the tall one. "I mean, if he is, he certainly doesn't act it." If there was one thing she had heard about French guys it was that they were quite the gentlemen to the ladies. She took in a deep breath and smiled at Carlisle once again.

"Is it obvious that we are off to Beauxbatons?" she asked, batting her eyelashes a couple of times. If there was one promise that she could do, it was that she could be the same Lyra as before, just slight alterations.

"Oh you and your friends would help us with our luggage?" she asked as she looked from Agie back to Carlisle and smiled. What a gentleman, she thought to herself. "Our trunks are rather heavy and it would be nice to have a strong young man...like yourself...help us with our totes." They were not totes, they were trunks and heavy trunks at that.

Agie realised that she was probably being a little rude. She just has so many emotions going through her head. It also looked like Josh would never be coming- this hurt. "That's fine. I'm glad you were so thoughtful to look after my friend." She said politely.

The train, was departing...soon. Oh no! Agie felt her heart sink a little.


Agie laughed at Lyra. Oh she was back to her flirty self already. "Yes, our trunks are ever so heavy. It would be nice to have some nice strong men around." Agie said, trying to avoid Lyra's eyes due to possible fits of giggles.

She looked from the train and back to Lyra. "So shall we then?" She asked, offering her arm.

As she nodded and gave a sweet smile to their trunks now being loaded by strong handsome males, Lyra took ahold of Agie's arm as they began to walk towards the train. This was her final goodbye with no possiblilty of staying or seeing the one person she wanted to see before boarding the train. "Let's get out of here before I start crying," she whispered under her breath with a fake smile. She knew that Agie of all people would at least understand that she was upset and not wanting to leave a place that she had finally come to call home.

As they entered the train, it didn't take long to find their seats. Nice comfortable, relaxing, and fluffy seats is really what they were, but there were no compartments like on the train to Hogwarts, definitely a strange feeling. "Here we are," she said as she sat down in a hurry, leaning her arm on the arm rest of the seat to look out the window. A loud sigh escaped from her lips as she closed her eyes, not wanting to see the place leave.

Agie held onto Lyra tightly. She didn't want to let her go. Lyra was the only thing connecting her to the wonderful life she built at Hogwarts. Agie nodded silently, a bit lost for words. This was it.

She stepped on the train with Lyra, glancing around the train. It was nothing like the Hogwarts express. A sigh escaped Agie as she took a seat, leaning her head against the window. Trying to remember everything she could about home. Her eyes fell back on Lyra, "I'm sure it wont be so bad. Will it?" She said, more for her own reassurance.
