I think the love between Lupin and Tonks is true. I love this couple ever since I turned to page six-hundred-and-twenty-four! And I've been hooked with learning everything I can about what people think of this couple and each character individually.
I think there has to be a purpose behind this couple, whether it's self-sacrifice, bringing into the world new hope (a baby!), or giving Lupin a chance to finally have his soul mate that he's been longing for all this time!
The 7th book is going to be a real interesting plot for these two!

Wow...no one has said much about poor Tonksy! hmm...what to say... Well, one thing for sure I think Mrs. Weasley knew about the relationship between Tonks and Lupin from the get go...I think she's kind of become a mother figure for Tonks...
Ooh, I wonder if Lupin has met Andromeda and Ted, that would be an interesting meeting. They're still alive right? Hmm...I'm still curious to how she found out...in-ter-est-ting! | |

I'd have to say Dumbledore knew just because he always seems to know the scoop on everything. Not so sure about Sirius knowing though. Sirius seems to have been into his own pain too much to know much of anything else going on. Not that I would blame him for that mind you...he deffinately had good reason to be hurting. | |

If you look in OOTP there's some small hints like the scene where Tonks and Lupin are alone secretly discussing something in the kitchen when Harry walks in and they suddenly stop talking...  But I don't think JKR was intending to show anything obviously romantic between them in OOTP, because that would ruin the surprise later in HBP.
I wonder though, if JKR had planned all along for Tonks to fall in love with Remus, or if she thought of the idea while writing one of the books.
But I do believe there was something going on between them way before Sirius died...there's only a couple weeks between Sirius' death and the start of HBP, and that just seems like too short of a time for them to suddenly get together, for Tonks to develop such strong feelings, and then for Remus to tell her he can't be with her and then leave for the underground. There has to be more to it than that. | |

There has to be more to it than that. | Yeah I definitely think there was a reason why Lupin went underground, to try and avoid Tonks as much as possible. Like they had a little spat or something...probably with his whole "Too Old, Too Poor, and Too Dangerous" excuse. Or maybe he almost attacked her, maybe not that far. But, something possibly similar led to the last straw... I think the relationship built on friendship most definitely happened in OotP, I mean look at the flirting, "Don't call me Nymphadora, Remus." But, I think on a more 'romantic-type' level it happened after Sirius' death. | |

My personal belief is that it was a relationship that grew gradually. They were obviously friends throughout OotP, and maybe Sirius' death brought them closer when they needed someone to lean on. | |

I really think they are meant to be together! That part of the book you brought out sounds really cool. Wow. I think I forgot that part even. It's such a huge book afterall and I'm often pressed to read it fast!

Awww thanks eveyone. *Thinks is such a warm welcome* I will have to re-read too. I find I only start to absorb situations after my 3rd read. Maybe more in Orders case. *Is huge book* I know after the book I have know it will be Order for me.
