I think alot of people are reserving judgement on Natalia until the promotional pics come out at least... I can't wait to see her!!

Apparently she's starring in a play or was at the time the review was written, and according to the person that went and saw her, she's INCREDIBLE! She has a great stage presence, not scared to actually "work" the stage, very expressive and has a face that could say a thousand words. I don't think we need worry anymore, if anyone was I'm just so excited about seeing her as our Nymphadora now.

I thought it was cute at the time for Anna to play Tonks, but after seeing who the casting guys and gals picked, i'm very happy. I've said it before in a few posts, but, to me, Anna is too beautiful. Tonks in my eyes isn't your traditional beauty, but has more of a natural, cute, perky, tomboy-ish kind of look.

I have absolutely nothing against Anna, but I don't think this was the role for her.

Gryffin girl ~ David & Natalia aren't married... David's partner is Anna Friel, who was interested in playing Tonks, but was never approached for the part.

I understand what you mean. I suppose that makes sense. I just wasn't in that frame of mind. I trust their judgement though, so I'm more than sure I will not be dissapointed in the part or the movie as a whole at all. I forget sometimes that Tonks is supposed to be a clumsy sort of girl, because I associated her as being a strong witch, because of all she's been through. I certainly can't wait to see the next film when it comes out. I'm even thinking of dyeing my hair pink for the occasion. Would be fun.

David actually isn't my mental picture of Lupin, so it won't hurt me if Natalia doesn't turn out to be spot on Tonks. I have my Tonks... *taps noggin* But I am excited that they went with someone with the right look and the right age. Anna would have been too sophisticated... and too old... for the part. In my very very humble opinion.

Maybe we can have a contest or event where we have members dye their hair/ photoshop their picture to be more Tonks-esque, eh? I think that's a great idea. Now I want to dye mine as well.

chemistry is way too important! especially in the 6th book!

Well, you'll have to wait and see what the chemistry is like. David is a talented actor, and I"m sure he's stared opposite women who he didn't have natural chemistry with before... and done it well. There's more to Tonks then her relationship with Remus, anyway... and I can't believe I actually said that. Ah well.
