Why was Remus afraid for Tonks?

Was it just because Remus didn't want to hurt Tonks? Or something more sinister? Could he be contemplating going to the other side? Has someone told him that he could be changed back to a human if he does? Does he miss being human that much? Would he sacrifice Tonks' love to be human again?

I think he was really just worried he could kill Tonks at full moons. I doubt he is a traitor, but there's a feeling at the back of my mind that Remus suspected Tonks was a Death Eater, and was using his fear for Tonks as a disguise for his fear of Tonks, if y'all understand.

I think he was afraid that he would hurt her in the end, that he would either do it as a werewolf, or as a person. But also that maybe the dark lord, or greyback would use her against him in this upcoming war, could also have been in the bakc of his mind. That she would hate him for being a werewolf, and that he might at some point hurt her while being a werewolf. But i think he was more afraid for himself, that he was too scared to let her love him like she did.

I think that Remus has at least two big fears when it comes to himself and Tonks having a relationship. The main one is that Remus fears that he will kill Tonks during when he has transformed as a werewolf on the full moon. The other is that if Remus were in danger, Tonks would come to save him. If she can to save him, she could die in the attemp, like when Sirius came to save Harry.

^^ I agree, according to the book he was scared of raising a werewolf child, but I think it was mainly the typical protecting Tonks thing

Haha, i think he's just afraid that tonks doesn't know what she's getting herself into by marrying him. he didn't want tonks or teddy to be an outcast in society because of him, and his warewolf-ness.

Yeah I agree, was afraid that he would hurt her when he is in his werewolf form but Tonks doesn't care... he needs to see that she isn't stupid and knows how to take care of herself!!! Their soooooooooo cute together and lupin needs to realise that he really is madly in love with her and can't live without her!!! Their PERFECT for each other!! and little teddy is the CUTEST thing ever!! I'm soooooooo happy that remus eneded up staying with them!! Imagine how hurt Tonks would be if he left her alone with the baby!!!

I think he didn't want her to be hurt by him. I think he was afraid that he might attack Tonks at the full moon and pass on his "furry little problem" to her. I don't think he could live with himself if he did that. He has lived with it for ages and he knows how terrible it is and he doesn't want to pass that on to anyone, let alone the one he loves. Plus he doesn't want to bring Teddy into this world with his curse either.

Transforming into a werewolf is supposed to be really painful, so naturally Remus wouldn't want Tonks to go through the pain of transforming once a month. He cares so much about her, it's cute!
