Your NTFC Co-President, Zoe (Hey that's me!), thought up something for our fourth discussion topic. She wants to know:

Well....maybe she wanted to be a newsreader at one point, because Ted the news reader from PS or SS is rumoured to be her Daddy! It says...

So maybe Ted Tonks is a newsreader, and Tonks might have wanted to follow in his footsteps.

But if we're talking about wizarding careers, the only one I can honestly see Tonks wanting is as an Auror. She doesn't seem like a desk-job kind of girl.

I think that Tonks only wanted to be an Auror sometime in her Hogwarts years. She was probably told that she wouldn't be a successful person when she became and adult, so she used her amazing Metamorphmagus talent to help her become an excellant Auror. In her early years, I can easily see her wanting to do what her mother or father did for a job. Most likely what her mother's job was.

yup Ted is her daddy I think she might have wanted to be a Quidditch player for a bit, she seems a bit sporty to me, even though she's clumsy...

Yeah. She was amazed that Harry had a Firebolt and we can clearly see that she's interested in brooms and stuff because she knew instantly that Harry's broom was a Firebolt after she had seen it. Good point, Wendy!

Hmm ... maybe Tonks wanted to be a hair stylist or something. She could show everyone different style by changeing her very own appearence.

I know Ted Tonks is her Dad, but people have been wondering if Ted-The-Newsreader from Book 1 is Ted Tonks, from the way he behaved while explaining it (e.e the mysterious smile)

Oh! *Hits herself* I think Ted the newsreader is Tonks' father. I mean, Sirius was mentioned once in Book 1 and he was in Book 3! So, I think the Ted in Book 1 is the Ted in Book 5! *Nods more*

I can easily see Tonks also doing Ted's job (If he is really the newsreader). She'll change her hair to resemble the weather. The Muggles sure would love that! *Notice the sarcasm*

Hmm ... Tonks could've been ... a ... clothing designer! (Like me!) I mean, the clothes she wears are just ... AWESOME!!! So, maybe. Just maybe. I would've chosen being the clothing designer! The new wizarding clothing of the century!

But I can definately see Tonks not knowing what see wanted to be for a while but maybe she though she could be a model...

Good point, Lari. I never actually thought of Tonks not knowing what she wanted to have for a career. I always thought of her being an outgoing person and knowing what she wanted.

I like the idea of Tonks wanting to be a model. She'd be great at it! *Nods*

She'll be changing every second! The dude who hires her is going to be famous!

Tonks! the famous model who can wear 10 outfits at the same time! actually... meh whatever, she could change her body shape so every piece of clothing uits her, no other models need!

*Giggles* Maybe Tonks wanted to sell ice cream in Diagon Alley. If someone wanted to know what color a flavor was, she could change her hair to that color.

Hmm ... maybe Tonks wanted to be the Ministress of Magic. It may be a serious job for her, but she could change that seeming she would've been the boss.

She could force everyone to wear pink clothes, by ministry decree!

Maybe. I don't think Tonks would do that. She might just let them wear whatever they wanted. And make work fun and serious at the same time.

yeh I suppose, extra long coffee breaks I could also see Tonks as a waitress, but only as s start up career, she's got a lot of potential

If Tonks was born on a pirate ship, she'd be a pirate for sure! A good pirate! "Wotcher, mate!"

Hmm ... Tonks probably wanted to be a stay-at-home mother when she met Remus. She'd be their for the kid(s).

But, it's a shame that Tonks and Remus died in DH. A least they had a kid! *Huggles Teddy*

*huggles Teddy to* I always saw her as a working mum *super stressy* nah, Tonks isn't a stressy-pants But she loves her job and wouldn't want to give it up, even if she did have a kid too look after. Maybe she'd go from an Auror to a Hit Wizard, a little less busy...

Wendy, I believe you'll find the correct term is "Hit Witch", when we are talking about girls. .

But I LOVE the idea of Pirate Tonks. *runs off to draw evilly* mwahahahahaha!

(If you're wondering about all the "Hit Witch" thing, I was a Hit Wizard in the Ministry RP with a big thing against sexism, . I made sure EVERYONE called me a Hit Witch, and even got the Head of Department to call me it too! But that was because my character was a sweety-pie ).

I can see Tonks as a protestor against sexism. That would be a very colourful protest .

Tonks is definately a feminist, like Angelina Johnson, I could see those to getting along Tonks could start a feminist movement within the ministry!
