Would Tonks be an Auror if she wasn't related to death eaters? Did her hated relatives make her want to wipe out such badness?

Hmm....I'm not really sure Tonks chose her profession based on her relatives. I think she chose her profession mostly because she is just good natured. I mean, she was a Hufflepuff, so she's a loyal person unafraid of toil, so I think she realized that her interest in maintaining the well-being of the wizarding world was worth pursuing.

I agree. I don't think their being Death Eaters had anything much to do with her decisions, since she didn't care much for anything they did and made her own decisions based on what she knew was right and not what they wanted.

I agree with you both. But I think she may have been determined to go through with the training because of it. And it must have given her some of her fire in battle, especially where Bella was concerned.

Do you think Tonks believed that Sirius killed Petter? I'm not completely sure. I think she and Sirius had an odd older brother-younger sister sort of relationship, that made her sure that he can't have possibly. But then again, if she knew him that well, it may have made her believe it.

I agree that she wanted to become an auror more because she is a good person than anything else.

I don't think she would have believed Sirius killed peter, but then again Lupin believed it didn't he???Humm...
